10 Great Quotes from Jesus of Nazareth

Here you will find 10 sayings of Jesus that I have collected together. Finding quotable passages from Jesus was not that easy, as most of what is recorded of what he said (in the gospel books: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) are either metaphorical stories, or Jesus responding to particular questions that had been put to him. Neither work very well when taken out of context.

Of the more direct teachings of…

How genuine Christian can become celebrity, by Oyedepo Material possesions are good but love for them bad

President of the Living Faith Church (a.k.a Winners Chapel worldwide), Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo yesterday spoke on the efficacy of divine grace, saying it is what makes a person great, and not material possessions. The love of material things leads to corruption, he said.

Sunday Sermon: Do you Speak in the Tongues of Men & Angels and have not Love ?

Speaking in a Heavenly Language

Many Christians who speak in this "babel" called tongues today, use a couple of verses from the apostle Paul to excuse their speaking in this ecstatic tongue. The problem is, they ignore the rest of the evidence which points to speaking in tongues as the sudden ability to speak in another language of the earth, which brings glory to God and is a sign for non believers, NOT some supposedly heavenly language that angels use. On this page we will take a…

Sunday Sermon: Effectual Fervent Prayer

Text: James 5:16

Prayer does not equip you for greater works.

Prayer is the greater work. ---- Oswald Chambers

As mature Christians we are naive to ignore or deny the reality of spiritual conflicts between good and evil and our role in them as believing saints. Our main weapon in a prayer offensive is a keen knowledge and application of scripture "declared verbally" in the same way Jesus fought the devil in his wilderness…

LEARNING OBEDIENCE THROUGH SUFFERING

Life on earth is a time of testing. It is a probationary period. What is the purpose of the troubles we experience continuously in the world? These pains and dreads discipline us; they teach us obedience to the Father; they drive out of us the love of the world. Obedience! We learn obedience to God through the things we suffer. As was true of the Apostle Paul, when we are faithful in our prisons and sufferings other people are blessed.

We Christians suffer many tribulations and pains… Continue

Introduction

I'm sure that everybody here has heard about Blondin before, but it is such a good illustration of trust that it bears repeating again.

Blondin was a 19th century acrobat, famous for his tightrope act 160 feet above Niagra Falls on a rope which was over a thousand feet…

Iranian Video Says Mahdi is 'Near' Islamic Messiah sighted as Arabian perestroika "subsides"

New evidence has emerged that the Iranian government sees the current unrest in the Middle East as a signal that the Mahdi--or Islamic messiah--is about to appear.

CBN News has obtained a never-before-seen video produced by the Iranian regime that says all the signs are moving into place -- and that Iran will soon help usher in the end times.

While the revolutionary movements gripping the Middle…

Is Paul The Antichrist?

Is Paul The Antichrist?Written by MikhayahSaturday, 24 December 2005Throughout the ages there has been great discord between the three great Abrahamicfaiths of Judaism, Christianity and Islaam. The latter, of course, having beencommonly referred to derogatorily in the West for centuries (up until moderntimes), as "Muhammadism". This has been due to the fact that the Qur'aanic term"Islaam" itself is a more religiously purist of a term than what the latter dayfollowers of the customs (which they… Continue

Shocking:Paul vs Jesus THe Antichrist within, Those who have ears let them hear !

The Apostle Paul Was A Deceiver! He was Satan In The Flesh! An Antichrist!

Matthew 24:4-5 states you will be deceived by people that come using Jesus’ name. Consider the parable of the sower. Jesus was warning us then that as soon as His Gospel was preached, the enemy (Paul) would be there to steal the truth!

***The real (untranslated) name of Jesus is

Y'hoshua   (pronounced like the name Joshua but with a Y, YoHoshua, some pronounce his name as Yeshua). All refer… Continue

Does God Answer Our Prayers? What does it take for God to answer our prayer?

Have you ever known someone who really trusts God? When I was an atheist, I had a good friend who prayed often. She would tell me every week about something she was trusting God to take care of. And every week I would see God do something unusual to answer her prayer. Do you know how difficult it is for an atheist to observe this week after week? After a while, "coincidence" begins to sound like a very weak argument.

So why would God answer my friend's prayers? The biggest reason is…

The consequences of the quest for quick results and the gullible nature of some Nigerians to believe any word spoken by self-proclaimed prophets and preachers came to the fore recently in Onitsha, Anambra State. Sunday Sun discovered a church where members are hypnotised into…

Sunday Sermon: Jesus & New Zealand Christchurch’s Earthquake: Act of God ?

Whatever's going on...the Earth Is Shaking! Shaking like never before!! Causing people to open their eyes.

I wonder why insurance companies call a thing like this mornings earthquake an “Act of God”? I’ve spoken to 5 people back home since the quake this morning, and all have unanimously agreed: it was terrifying, people are scared, questions are being asked and disbelief “that it could happen to me” is in the…
