LAGOS — RESIDENTS of Oyingbo and environs in Ebute-metta, Lagos Mainland Local Government woke up yesterday to the sight of a two-storey building, reportedly built about 45 years ago, reduced to rubble after a downpour on Saturday night.

Barca reveal City's Eto'o bid

BARCELONA have received a 'monster offer' from Manchester City for striker Samuel Eto'o.

Aircraft with arms impounded in Kano - 4 crew members and Nigerians arrested

A Ukrainian plane loaded with weapons was, on Tuesday night, impounded by Air Force intelligence at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano.


Four people; two pilots and two other foreign nationals, who were on board, were arrested, while some Nigerians who attempted to clear the weapons were also arrested.

Ajegunle Eko Free Health initiative

The Lagos state government is to screen at least 20,000 Lagosians on various ailments, as it kicks-off its five-day free health mission today, at the Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government.

Lagosians will be screened on diverse ailments, including dental, general and eye surgeries. Lagos Bar Beach overflows

Nature rode rough shod over the Lagos Bar Beach yesterday, when the elements defied the multi-billion naira shoreline protection barriers constructed last year by the Lagos State government, in the process, flooding almost the entire stretch of Ahmadu Bello Way, in Victoria Island.
