The Provost of The College has been Accused by Concerned Members of It's Academic Staff Union as Mis Appropriating IGR (Internal Generated Revenue ) After The Union Called on the State Government to Do an Audit of The School's Books .
They accuse the School's Authorities of being unconcerned about the lack of payment of their Salaries as The IGR has been shared amongst top Officials which has been sustaining them over the 9months period their Salaries have not been paid .
The Staff of The College have notedly not been Paid Since April of 2016 Despite Pleas and Protests to the School Authorities . Their Prayer to the Edo House of Assembly was met with stiff Resistance after Reports Claimed one of the Committee Members for Education in the Law Making Body asked for 500,000 Naira as Motivation Fee to Carry their Case To Legislators Council .Unable to Raise such amount since they have not been Paid their matter has been put on Hold so Far.
Asking Why they have not gone on any Strike Action .They said the School has been divided into factions by in fighting over the IGR
The Staff Union members also Reported That the Provost of The School had also sent out a missive asking every member of Staff to Sign an Injunction Claiming they were not in Support of The Audit of The School by The Edo State Govt .Reports Reaching us say 19 out of the School's Staff have signed as the Fear of Losing their Jobs was made clear if they did not .
The Provost is further accused of creating dissension amongst staff Claiming The Binis were trying to take over the Top Positions in the College from the Esan of Igueben where the School is Located .
Governor Obaseki asked to know what was being owed as arrears and after the preparation to the tune of about 5 million, the Ministry of Education insisted that a part of the money be give to them, because the provost refused, they decided not to pass the file concerning the school
The Union Further called on the New Governor of Edo State His Excellency Godwin OBaseki To look into their plight as other Notable Colleges like Ekiadolor in Benin have been enjoying prompt remuneration for their Services to the State .
