[Kidnappers 2] The kidnappers of a 43-year old Saudi Businessman, bin Tawalah have been apprehended by the police. They were arrested by a police team led by Adeyinka Adeleke, the AC CID Airport Command. The businessman was kidnapped just as he arrived from Saudi Arabia and the abductors demanded a ransom of $ 150 million.
Street Journal’s investigations revealed that the businessman had received calls from some Nigerians who indicated their willingness to do business with him. He however thought it safe to know who he was going to transact business with especially as sums running into millions of dollars would be invested on both sides. Hence his decision to visit Nigeria to see his prospective partners.
On arrival at the Lagos airport on Sunday, bin Tawalah was met by some of the partners who came in an Infiniti Sport Utility Vehicle.
But instead of driving the Saudi national to a hotel, he was driven to Odogbolu in Ogun State where he was locked up in a house.
Street Journal found out that while the businessman was being conveyed from the airport, he saw the number plate of the vehicle that took him and reported the same to his home country when he was allowed to make contact.
It was found out that when his home country got wind of the kidnap, they swung into action promptly and contacted the Inspector General of Police, giving a lead to the kidnappers with the number plate of the Infiti SUV.
The Inspector General subsequently ordered that the vehicle should be traced and its o [Kidnapper] wner was eventually found out. That led the police to the actual kidnappers.
Five suspects were arrested at Odogbolu in connection with the kidnap and one Italian made Beretta pistol was recovered from them. They were found out to be perpetrators of advance fee fraud better known in Nigerian parlance as “419”. They had posed as businessmen to invite the Saudi businessman to Nigeria.
The suspects who are between 22 and 30 years old are currently being interrogated at the Lagos Airport Command of the Nigeria Police Force, Ikeja.

Wonders will never cease! Thank God the man was found before things went out of control. We all know there are not many white collar jobs in Nigeria but we can be useful to ourselves and our nation in other ways. Crime does not pay.

What a way to shoot ourselves on the foot....who would believe any good prospective investors to come to Nigeria or dare a business with Nigerians no matter how good it's....what a poor judgement....on their part...is their portion and for sometime now
i just don't understand the mentality of this kind of people. Why don't they do business with this man in normal and legal ways. To me it looks like a good business which any man with the correct mentality would like to get involved. I just wish i had an opportunity like that. Thanks
We are crying that investors do not invest Nigeria, with these group of kidnappers, investors will now be afraid to cometo nigeria to invest.  Federal government should make death penality for kidnappers and fight against the Yahoo-Yahoo people.
That's very good. Dis shows that we shld be very conscious of details. Thank God for the wisdom of God that enabled him take note of the vehicle plate number.
