“For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death: but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be” (Romans 8:5-7).
Christianity is a higher life; a life beyond the senses. Looking beyond what your senses communicate and seeing with the eyes of God's Spirit is one of the things God's Word does for you; it enlightens you to see like God does. This is why the Bible admonishes that we be transformed by the renewal of our minds (Romans 12:2). This transformation is necessary and takes place through the agency of God's word.
As a new creation in Christ Jesus, old things are passed away and all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). The Word of God is available to deliver a new mentality to you. It shows you what the new creation life is all about. If you were born into a family lineage where there were always failures for instance, that no longer makes any difference, because you see from the Word that you've come out of the world into Christ and belong to a new family. The resurrected life is the life you now have inside you.
It doesn't matter how long you've been a Christian; if your senses dictate the circumstances of your life, then you are being ruled by them. When this is the case, the Bible says you're carnal (Romans 8:7). Being carnally minded is dangerous because it robs you of living victoriously. No wonder the Bible declares that “Whoever despises the word and counsel [of God] brings destruction upon himself, but he who [reverently] fears and respects the commandment [of God] is rewarded” (Proverbs 13:13 AMP).
If doctors have told you that you have an incurable disease in your body, you ought to say, “The Law of the Spirit of Life has made me free in every part of my being, in every bone of my body and in every cell of my blood!”
The Word of God already tells us that we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus. It says we can never be disadvantaged. It says we've been delivered from the domain of darkness and transported into the kingdom of God's dear Son in whom we have redemption through His blood and the remission of sin. It's a new life; you're not who you used to be. That understanding is what you need. When this is an everyday consciousness, then you are ready to win every day!
See life that way and always speak in consent with God's Word. Say, “I've got the life of God in me. I've got the life of God in my spirit, soul and body!” The Spirit of Him that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. He that raised up Christ from the dead has vitalized your mortal body; you are indestructible!
Have a great week! God bless you.
