Hello people, I did a very dumb thing in 2008. Want to know what it is? I'll tell you. I told some folks that they would need to be perfect to succeed. I didn't say it in those exact same words but that was the implication. HAVE YOU EVER HEARD ANYTHING MORE STUPID ! I cant believe that i would be associated with such foolishness. But i was. Ok...how did i say perfection was the key to success? Simple. I introduced a part time income opportunity to some people who had visited my site(http://www.freewebs.com/natureandhealth/extraincome.htm). ...and i started by saying : 1. Are you self motivated? 2. Are you ambitious? 3. Are you clear on your dreams and goals? 4. Are you able to take a definite decision and follow through without procrastinating? I was indirectly telling them that they would have to be perfect to succeed in the business. THAT'S CAPITAL CRAP!!!!! As if most successful people had all these qualities when they began pursuing their dreams. No wonder nobody responded. Through research and study i discovered that most successful people cultivated these IMPORTANT virtues as they journeyed towards their goals. And its important to note that they never allowed their inadequacies deter them from starting. I didn't allow it stop me from beginning so why was i prescribing perfection to others. Because most of us have been led to believe that in order to succeed we must first wait for circumstances to be perfect. Mike litman, who happens to be one of my favourite success teachers, always says something profound. And it is that " you don't have to get it right, you just have to get it going!" That's awesome! That means everybody is qualified to pursue their goals regardless of their perceived disadvantages. The Bible supports this same attitude when it says, "do not despise the days of small beginnings, for the Lord delights to see work BEGIN". So my advice for you all in 2009, is don't allow your imperfections stand between you and your desires "for he who observes the wind shall not sow". Don't wait for perfection. Just get started right...... NOW! See you at top, Dan Abia
