Who is behind 9jabook?
Abi John Balogun aka Weboga has been building websites and groups since 2000, and decided in 2008 to combine multiple groups on Yahoo Groups, Facebook, Myspace, and other social networks into one network And then the inspiration for 9jabook hit. Inspired by many other Networks e wondered... What would happen if there was a place every person could go to find information, support, and friendship? What if you didn't have to spend hours searching Google for the one place that catered to what members were looking for... What if they could find it all in one place? Thus, 9jabook was born!
What Exactly IS 9jabook?
9jabook is a place for people to connect, learn, and share. We're all about connecting communities and sharing resources. 9jabook is for you if you like to be up-to-date on what is going on in your community, find local and worldwide information easily, help others, and/or share or view content such as blogs, music, photos, and videos.
Why Should I Join?
Joining this network allows you to add blog posts and events, participate in discussions, join geographic groups (which contain information about local government offices, historical information, local content, and more) and interest groups (hobbies, causes, medical disorders, alumni groups, etc), connect with people around the world who share your interests, and share files, links, music, photos, and videos.
You will have a customizable profile, where members can view your content and information you want to share about yourself, become your friend, and leave you comments. You can post status updates, receive birthday wishes, chat with other members, view network activity (including other member's status updates), and more. All public content can be shared to Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Del.icio.us, Stumbleupon, Digg, With Network Friends, By Email (Contacts can be selected from most email providers, including Outlook and Apple), and of course by simply linking to the content. You can change your privacy settings in your account, to keep your content private.
What Types Of Membership Options Are There?
We offer four different types of membership levels:
Personal | Upgraded | Nonprofit | Business
Personal profiles are for members who want to add and view blog posts and events, participate in discussions about a variety of topics, join groups based on location (to find information about local government offices, and local history, as well as connect with other members in their area, find local businesses, and more) and/or interests (such as hobbies, causes, medical disorders, alumni groups, etc.) as well as connect with people around the world, share files, links, music, photos, and videos. Personal profiles are free of charge.
Upgraded profiles include all the features of personal profiles, plus the ability to sell products and/or services, as well as receive tips on content such as poetry, photographs, blogs, videos, etc. Nonprofits and Businesses do not qualify. Upgraded profiles are $5 a year. Payment is required before your membership will be approved.
Nonprofit profiles include all the features of personal profiles, plus the ability to post fundraising products, accept donations, and sell tickets to events. Nonprofits can also join groups that deal with topics related to them, which enables them to get higher visibility and connect with potential donors and volunteers. Nonprofit profiles are $10 a year One off Payment or 1 Dollar a Month . Pay Here Payment is required before your membership will be approved.
Business profiles include all the features of personal profiles, plus the ability to sell products and/or services, post employment ads, and sell tickets to events. Businesses can also join groups that deal with topics related to them, which enables them to get higher visibility and connect with potential customers and employees. Business profiles are $20 a year or 2Dollars a Month . Payment is required before your membership will be approved.

How Do I Get Started?

How Do I Get Help If I Need It?
Most of the time, you can get help with simple tasks in our "how-to" section, which is growing all the time. You can also report Adult Content, Abusive Activity, Bugs, Fraud, Spam, and other issues by using the Report An Issue form. You're also free to give feedback via our Feedback form.
