- Since I was a young boy, I have always wanted to be a politician. But I was lucky to be raised by my grandfather who trained me as a priest. I really enjoyed working as a missionary; the only snag I dislike about the calling is that it put one in public focus. I got my full bash as a politician in University of Ibadan. The campus politics was a bit dirty and intolerant of oppositions but it was nevertheless advanced more than the ethno-class politics played by the likes of PDP, ANPP, and AC. Yet campus politicians lacked ideology and majority of student politicians were influenced by role models like Arthur Nzeribe, Late Adedibu, and Late Comrade Ola Oni. Most student politicians lacked ideological leaning except the pragmatic militant group known as Democratic Socialist Movement. In spite of their ideological leaning and their advocacy of fundamental human rights, the DSM are intolerant of oppositions and no sooner do they found themselves in power that they become usually more corrupt than their predecessors in office.
