Angry robber kills shopkeeper

One suspected member of a fleeing three-man robbery gang has been shot dead in Kano State by a police Corporal, Abba Hussaini.

Hussaini shot and killed the robber shortly after the gang attacked and killed a shopkeeper.

Tension in Ondo over alleged pardon for murder convict

THERE has been palpable tension in Umoru, Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, over insinuations that the government plans to pardon a convicted murderer, Akinyele Okiki.

An Owo High Court, presided by Justice Bode Adegbehingbe, had in 2007 found Okiki guilty of killing Olugboyega Ojo on July 30, 2004 and ordered that he be hanged until pronounced dead.

Presidency orders Ringim to rescue 15 kidnapped pupils

President Goodluck Jonathan has ordered the Inspector-General of Police, Hafiz Ringim, to immediately deploy his men to apprehend those who abducted 15 nursery and primary school pupils near Aba, Abia State, on Monday.

Son Kills Dad

Tragedy struck at Ejigbo area of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, Lagos State, South West Nigeria, when a 54-year old man identified as Baba Agba was stabbed to death by his son simply known as Odeku.
