American Consulate General visits Paxherbals

The Politics/Economic Officer of the United States Consulate General, Lagos, Helena Schrader, paid an official visit to PAX Herbal Clinic and Research Laboratories, Ewu, Edo State. The visit was a fact-finding tour of the facilities of the centre. According to the officer, the American Government is interested in serious-minded and credible Nigerian institutions like PAXHERBALS, as they are seen as partners in growth and development. After the tour of the facilities, she said: ‘I have been in Nigeria just a little more than a year. Perhaps I have not traveled round the country enough. However, I want to say that this is one of the most impressive institutions I have seen in Nigeria. I am very impressed by the beautiful architecture and well-lay out plans of the various departments. "There is evidence of efficiency and seriousness everywhere. The environment is so neat and clean. I have visited the Niger Delta many times and it has always been bad news. I am relieved and happy that there is something very positive to report about to Washington. I will surely love to visit again. I hope I can put you in contact with individuals and organizations that will partner with you in your work so that you can help even more people." The head of the Monastery which owns PAXHERBALS, Fr. Vincent Mordi, thanked the American Consulate for making out time to travel all the way from Lagos to visit PAXHERBALS at the remote village of Ewu. "With over 250 full-time staff, PAXHERBALS has contributed to wealth creation in Edo state as well as promote moral integrity among the youth. Work is not just about earning money but about being co-creators with God. Nigerians indeed need to cultivate the virtue of hard work and dedication’ said Adodo In his reaction, Permanent secretary, Edo state Ministry of Agriculture and Natural resources, Mr. A.H. Ikhelowa, who accompanied the visitors, said that the Edo state government is proud to associate with an institution like PAXHERRBALS, and commended the management of the institution for its creative and innovative endeavors.
