DeVante Parker had been the story of Miami Dolphins OTAs for his ability to snatch footballs out of the air. Now the rookie receiver is making news for a more concerning reason. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Friday that Parker had undergone successful foot surgery, according to a team source. He is expected to be ready for the season opener against the Redskins. The team later confirmed the news. Parker missed part of his senior season at Louisville after needing foot surgery. Per Rapoport, Friday's surgery was performed to replace the screw inserted last year. The decision to undergo surgery was a collaborative one between Parker, his agent Jimmy Gould, Parker's parents and the Dolphins. Per the Miami Herald, the procedure was precautionary and if it were the regular season he'd be playing this week.
