Four Journalists freed

the four journalists, who were kidnapped last weekend has regained their freedom. Recall that the four men, who are officials of the Nigerian Union of Journalist, were kidnapped last Sunday on their way from a meeting of executive council of Nigerian Union of Journalist in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. Their Kidnap necessitated the setting up of a special task force by federal government, to ensure their release and arrest of their captor. However, it is uncertain if any ransome were paid for their release as at press time.

However, Nigerian police spokesman. Mr. Emmanuel Ojukwu confirmed the release of the journalists on Sunday on telephone..

"Yes. They have been rescued by the men of the Nigeria Police Force early today (Sunday) and we also made some arrests," he told our correspondent.
