NIGER DELTA CRISIS

If after Odi the struggle could not be stopped by the might of the federal forces , what makes them think that they have a solution through the force of arms.Something tells me the restiveness is divinely ordained to change an unjust system that has exploited and degraded a people and their environment for too long. It must be understood that the so called criminal activities of the militants which some people are using as a weapon to denigrate the struggle is a derivative of the violence that was initially unleashed on the hapless Niger Deltans by the Federal Govt /oil companies for over 50 years.Action and reaction they say is equal and opposite. The 50 years cycle of exploitation has ushered in an era of retribution.IT WILL NOT GO AWAY AS EASILY AS SOME PEOPLE THINK.NIGERIA BECAREFULUntill we address the issue from a 360 degree view point holistically, we shall FAIL over and over again. We have to start with scrapping the the unjust and exploitative laws that have given impetus for some sections of the society to be marginalised. If Zimbabwean farmers can come to Kwara State to till the soil without hindrance or 87%/13% derivation formula permutations. What stops the bonafide land lord in the oil producing areas from dealing with the oil companies directly and paying what ever taxes that are due to the Federal Government. GREED is the problem.
