Osaze wrecks Arsenal

NIGERIAN international, Osaze Odemwingie, yesterday at the Emirates Stadium provoked a second half five-goal-thriller when he fired West Bromwich Albion to a surprising 3-2 away victory over Arsenal in a Barclays English Premiership match.

It was a historic first win for the Baggies over the London favourites in 28 years .

With the Gunners brimming with the confidence of playing at home against a struggling West Brom, the goalless start to the game was disappointing to the home fans but when Odemwingie began to run the show in the 38th minute , it was apparents that the day was not meant for Arsene Wenger's troop.

The Nigerian international scared Arsenal's goalkeeper, Manuel Alumnia into committing a penalty kick offence but Brunt missed the resultant spot kick in the 38th minute..

In the 50th minute, Odemwingie opened the floodgates of goals when he connected a grounder into the net off a left-wing cross. From then on, there was no stopping West Brom as an inspired

Odemwingie's brilliant touch in the 53rd minute helped Jara to score the second goal for West Brom. Thomas further embarrassed the Gunners when on 73rd minute he roofed a blinder to record his side's third goal of the game.

French striker, Samir Nasir saved Arsenal's face with two goals scored in the 75th and 90th minutes.
