The dictionary describes procrastinator as a person who defers performance of anything. I believe we are all guilty of procrastinating at some point in our live, If i am being honest i thought of procrastinating writing this note today and made up so many excuses in my head. No matter how small the performance is delaying or deferring a performance falls under the definition of procrastination, be it a phone call to that friend you have not spoken to in a while, walking the dog, starting the project or making a visit they are all in the same basket. As the definition says above a procrastinator can defer performance of ANYTHING, there are some things that we can or may procrastinate that may not be life changing, but there is one performance that should NEVER be procrastinated and that's having a relationship with JESUS. I say this because I have not met a man that can give me the exact time, date or location of his death, I believe there is only one person that can provide such information and that is God almighty.

I was lead to write this note because of a dream I had recently, a certain part of the dream brought me to tears. In this dream there was a lot of violence among youths and people were running helter- skelter, we were lucky enough to have located some mobile police men who we ran to and told us to queue up, I went forward to ask if anyone had died and the police man showed me 4 dead men they had killed and gave a name of a girl that had been beheaded in her sleep, I heard this and fell to my knees crying, then I overheard a conversation between 2 girls that were standing behind me, one of the girls was saying how she had gone to this girl that was beheaded and told her to give her life to Christ and the girls response was that she will do so later :( , only if she had known, she procrastinated the ONE THING that should never be procrastinated.

I know some of you think the next thing am going to type is " please do not think i am trying to scare you with this dream" but you are very wrong, there are times the right kind of fear will push us to make the right decisions, recently a lot of youths have been dying and am sure none of them knew they were going to pass away. Matthew 24: 36-42 “However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. * Only the Father knows. When the Son of man returns, it will be like it was the in Noah's day. In those days before the flood the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered the boat. People did not realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes.

The scripture above is talking about the coming of  Jesus but there is a word there that we can use to summarise this, it will be UNEXPECTED. I have not typed all the verses, but verse 42 says so you too must keep watch! This verse is not for the dead that have passed away this verse is YOU who have the opportunity to make the right decision. People have started living their lives like they will never die or like they have enough time to play around especially the youngsters and youths they carry on performing immorality so they can feel among as they do not want to seem UNCOOL, please tell me if it’s this coolness that takes one to heaven. Even the adults are doing the same thing drunkenness, drugs, sexual immorality, unforgiveness, lies, cheating etc ehn ehn ehn those that have eyes better read. I take my prayer from Psalm 118:17 “I will not die, instead I will live to tell what the Lord has done" and that’s my prayer for all of you as well, that you shall not leave earth until you have fulfilled God's purpose in your life.

It’s not too late trust me, try not to care about people calling you names, your past is your past choose to move forward from today and i know it might be challenging to stop those habits you are so used to, but trust me i have been there, give him your heart genuinely and He will do it. This message might be just for YOU do not be a PROCRASTINATOR.

I have 2 prayer points that I want us all to say.

1. Lets pray against violence among youths, also lets pray for confusion in the camp of the devil, his plans to use youths to commit such atrocities were they start thinking they are invincible. I pray they begin to give their hearts to God.

2. Let pray for those that decided to procrastinate their relationship with God, that they will not have peace of mind until they make the right decision to give their lives to Christ.

I give God the glory for this note, Father you have shown your love and mercy by revealing this to us today. Hell was only built for the devil and his demons, but he has decided to add man as his roommates, but that is not your plan as you have made a beautiful place for us in heaven. For those that do not believe in heaven and hell good luck to you, I prefer not to take the risk :)
