Female students threaten to protest nude

The National Association of Nigeria Female Students (NANFS) has given a seven-day ultimatum to the governors of the South-east geo-political zone to re-open the state universities or face the wrath of female students in the area. ..
In a statement in Owerri yesterday, the students warned that they would be forced to mobilize all Nigerian female undergraduates to demonstrate naked on the streets of Abakiliki, Awka, Enugu, Owerri and Umuahia should the governors fail to comply with their ultimatum which commenced yesterday.

The statement jointly signed by the Secretary-General, Mr. Jemila Audu, the PRO, Pauline Onyegbule, the ex-officio (I), Anita Igbandu, the students expressed regret that the protracted industrial action forced many of them to go into prostitution, kidnapping, armed robbery and other social vices.
The students berated the governors for allowing the strike to linger without addressing the problems that gave birth to it, stressing that all that was required of them was to properly fund the universities and make them attain the required standard.

“But, the South-east governors were unconcerned because none of their female children are students in the universities in the South-east zone.”
The statement read by Mr. Anita Igbandu explained that the entire membership of NANFS had taken a deeper view of the collapse of education in the South east zone and had come to the conclusion that the governors in the zone had no reason to seek for second term because their first outings had proved a monumental disaster for university education.

The students also noted that the Governors had shown that they have nothing to offer Nigerian students who incidentally were the future of the zone and the entire country pointing out that, their only interest is to seek ways to manipulate the system and fraudulently secure their second tenures and continue to deceive their people.

It could be described as the basest nude joint on the face of the earth. Some people that know the spot refer to it as devil’s parlour. There, girls, naked as Eve, entertain patrons every Saturday, which they call go- go nites. It is a place nude dancing girls do the most absurd things that can always confound your imagination. It is beyond description the low ladies could go for money, and you wonder when these eventually become mothers, what would they produce for the future society.

Our reporter was there penultimate weekend and captured the despicable scenario.


She stood there with a stick of cigarette and a glass of beer. Smiling. Staring into space like a junkie. Alone in her own world, she was wearing a black needle-slim bra, butt-tight G-string and high-heeled shoes. The pendant of her long necklace dangled between her half-covered breasts and a ribbon hung loosely around her waist.

Her presence threw the dance hall into revelry. The tempo of Flavour’s Ashawo remix (a popular debauchery tune of the joint) blasting from the loud speakers increased as the in-house DJ stoke his acts. Some of those who were dancing in the hangout stopped in their tracks. Those who were dozing on their seats shrug off sleep while others loitering outside rushed in. Every eye focused in her direction. Everyone was expectant. The show had begun. Time was 2.45am.


Then she began to serenade the scores of fun-seekers, men and women of various ages, who had descended on the sleazy joint located off Governor’s Road, Ikotun Lagos. Her dance steps and general mannerism were measured and delivered with professional efficiency and accuracy. Making sexy gestures, her dance steps were in tandem with the raunchy music cascading from the high voltage musical equipment. Indeed, everyone inside the seedy joint was mesmerized as she began to strut her stuff, pulling off her scanty clothing in bits.


The lady on the dance floor is simply known as Angela, maybe an anti-angel. Dark, tall and beautifully built. She could be in her late 20s or early 30s. A few years back, she could have been prettier but the edges were hardening, the mouth and eyes betrayed a certain toughness, evidence of living rough, evidence of tough life. And there seemed to be misery in her eyes.


Sex goddess

Angela is a harbinger of sex. She services the dark appetite and/or damaging habits of wild fun seekers. Men paid N1,000 each to gain entry to watch her performance. There is no waiver for female as they are admitted on payment of N500. However, most of the females are commercial sex workers who come to hawk their wares there.


Angela is one of the go-go dancers who entertain guests every Saturday night at the hangout during the go-go nites. She was on duty two Saturdays ago.


Fun without borders

She appeared on stage at 2.45 am and, without much ado, began captivating men with her erotic overtures delivered in dance steps. For a while, she held sway on the dance floor displaying brazen bestiality. That teaser set the mood for the day especially for the early callers who had waited patiently, relaxing with drinks, cigarette or dancing.

At the peak of the ugly entertainment, she went round tables to engage patrons in lap dances. She sat astride men in a mock sex. Some of the men pushed some naira notes into her flimsy pant even as they stole quick caresses.


Decadent

The performance reached a crescendo when the angel of sex pulled off her bra and pant. She was as naked as Eve in the Garden of Eden. Only her long necklace, strip of ribbon hanging on her neck and shoes constituted her clothing. When she bared it all, the patrons began to make catcalls.

Again, she embarked on another round of lap dance with some patrons. Then a piece of brown cloth was brought and spread on the floor for Angela by one of the staffers. It was time for the main course. The spectacle took a stomach-churning dimension. Indeed, the scene was despicable, even sickening.

After some more suggestive dances, she lowered her frame on the floor and her practised fingers began caressing her body. She did some turns and twists and then spread her legs like the pages of a book. Apparently uncircumcised, she began pulling at her well-pronounced clitoris. But her ‘best’ was yet to come.


Smoking parts

Angela took her acts to the hilt when she lit a stick of cigarette, smoked it for a while and inserted it into her private part. Then she lifted her pelvis, showing as it sucked smoke from the burning cigar from her urinal organ.


But she was not yet done. After bizarre cigarette smoking only known to her, she stretched her hand and one of the bouncers handed her an empty bottle of Smirnoff Ice. It depends on the girls available. Most of them are said to be Ghanaians


No price tag

Some flesh sellers also thronged the area especially on go-go nites to ‘hustle’ for customers. Their prices are not fixed. It depends on the depth of a customer’s pocket or his bargaining ability as well as the time a bargain is reached. An all-night dalliance costs between N2,000 and N5,000. Quickie or ‘short time’ goes for between N500 and N1,000. Rooms at the hotel cost between N4,000 and N5,000 per night.

It was, however, gathered that before stepping out, some of the go-go dancers are usually fed a cocktail of booze, marijuana or cocaine to give them the Dutch courage to misbehave.

The go-go dancers go home with N10,000 or N15,000 per night apart from the money they get from appreciative patrons, who stuff such token into their crevices.

Playing sexy roles in films may be taking its toll on Nigeria top female movie star, Uche Iwuji. Having featured in about thirty films in her ten years acting career, the sensational actress, an undergraduate of Creative Art of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), told Showtime Celebrity that she has so far dated five men without winning their hearts for marriage.

How many movies have you starred in so far?
I have done close to thirty.


Could you name some of the titles?


I took part in Aristo, Passion And Pains, My Heart Desire, My Dream………..


And how long have you been in the industry?


Close to ten years now.


How did your acting career start?


I started acting in my church. From there I met Zeb Ejiro and I told him that I wanted to take acting as a career. He asked if I have acted before and I said yes, I have been doing it in my church. He then gave me a role to play and I played it to his satisfaction and that was how I started acting.

Which was your first film?


Tears In Heaven.


How did you feel appearing in a film for the very first time?


I was happy, It was an opportunity to act..


What is your real name?


My name is Uche Evelyn Iwuji.


Are you now married?


No.


Is it because of your roles or career as a movie star that is making it difficult for you to get hooked?


Laughs…. I can’t really say. You know it’s really difficult because most of the guys I have met in the past pretend to fall in love. And immediately ask you to stop acting and all that. It’s a difficult task and it has been a problem for us.


Do you mean you can’t sacrifice your acting career for marriage when a man knocks on your door for marriage?


Yes, I can. I will do something else. I will put my head somewhere else and keep my marriage.


Are you thinking of marriage now?


Yes, I am thinking of marriage.


Do you have somebody on the line?


No, not for now. I used to have one but it ended and we packed it up. Since then, I have decided to keep to myself.


Was it because you weren’t ready to give up your acting career?


No. It didn’t happen like that. The relationship didn’t work out. That was it.


So, what is your next step?


Em…. I am in school now. I have decided to concentrate fully on my studies, after which, I may begin to think about marriage.


Which school are you attending?


The University of Lagos (UNILAG)


And what course are you studying?


Creative Art.


What level are you now?


300 level.


Do you still find time to act?


Occasionally yes, but the school time table is really taking more of my time.

Do you intend to take acting on full time after graduation?


I might if I don’t see my husband before then. If I see my husband, and he tells me to find something else to do, I will abide.


What kind of roles do you love to play in films?


Sexy roles, possessive roles, projecting role - any challenging role, in short.

What was it all about?


It was all about six girls searching for greener pasture. They have to do anything and everything to get there including going to bed with different men.


How has playing sexy roles affected you?


It has really affected me because the guys out there feels this girl is very hot (laughs) and they want to have you in bed.

They expect us to look like what we play in films, as a person in real life; ‘sex bloody’ and that is not possible because it’s just a movie and we are only playing a role. They hold on to their imagination and keep calling and wanting you to hook up and do it with them.

I don’t even love again. It ended last year

I don’t see the need for it because when you decided to love someone and he ends up breaking your heart. What is the need? So I don’t love.

No, I don’t have. So, I don’t give. It ended last year.

Hmm... something like that.

The man must be God fearing. He must go to church for me to love him.

Emm. That is the kind of person I want. A Church goer.

He just has to go to Church for me to love him. Obviously, not all whitemen or foreigners in Nigeria go to church but when you meet them and tell them about Church, they want to go with you and in the process end up giving their lives to God.


So you may prefer a White man now because a lot of your female colleagues are gunning for them?
Not really, but anyone that comes is okay by me. But he must go to Church. Even the Whiteman shows more love.

They are really crazy about love. They take you on tour and make you see things you often dreamt about. They do many things to make you feel that you are needed. But a black man especially a Nigerian, he wouldn’t take you to where you want to be. He keeps you there in the house and there is no time. There is not much time for the two of you to go out as lovers, like going for picnic, shopping, travelling, and doing things that really ignite love.

Wande Coal in nude picture scandal

On Thursday, Mo Hits star, Wande Coal, real name, Ojosipe Wande, became the hottest trending topic on social networking site, Twitter, when pictures alleged to be his nude shots, surfaced on the Internet.

Though this has attracted various comments from fans and the public alike, some of his colleagues have risen to his defence.

Mo Hits producer, Don Jazzy, tweeted “Kaiiiiiiii my boy is trending sha. Oya make somebody photoshop my own too o. Maybe I go trend too. Lol.”

Dele Momodu, Ovation publisher and 2011 presidential aspirant, also tweeted “@delemomodu2011: As the enemies tried to pull down great son of Nigeria @wande coal today. I urge all my good friends to pls tweet something great about Wande.”

Similarly, a few months back, a picture alleged to be that of fellow Mo Hit artiste DBanj and Wande Coal smoking marijuana in a bus surfaced on the Internet..

However, in a reaction to the issue, Mo Hits publicists, Big Sam Media, have risen in defence of Wande Coal. In a statement titled, Somebody is After Wande Coal, the artiste’s publicists say, “It has come to our notice that a purported nude picture of Wande Coal is being circulated on social networking site, Twitter, and that made him a trending topic yesterday and early hours of today.

“Wande is very grateful to those who have shown him love and as well to those who were constructive in their criticisms. He is saying a massive thank you.

Nothing to be ashamed of

“We also want to state categorically that there is nothing wrong or to be ashamed (of) about being naked but the pictures in question are not those of Wande Coal, the multiple Hip Hop World Award winner. That is not him and that can never be him.”

Big Sam media claimed that Wande Coal has been a target of “orchestrated attacks in past months”, citing a report that claimed that the artiste was being treated in psychiatric home.

“We have reason to believe that the person behind these nude pictures is the same person behind earlier negative and false stories. Therefore, we are no longer taking the matter lightly. Appropriate security agencies have been briefed and investigations are on-going so as to ascertain (the) true identity of the culprit and bring him or her to book.

Wande Coal started out as a soundtrack artiste for Mainframe Production. He was also a onetime dancer for Angelica, Boulevard, and Asa. He, however, got his big break after a chance meeting with the Mo Hits Family after a performance at the University of Lagos in 2006. He was signed on by Mo Hits records almost immediately, and released his debut album, Mushin to Mo' Hits.
