Naked women protest in Ado Ekiti

The uncertainty and protests that have trailed Saturday’s rerun governorship election in Ekiti State took another dimension on Wednesday, as a group of women clad in white attires protested round Ado-Ekiti, half-dressed. The protesters, who sang anti-Peoples Democratic Party’s songs and chorused “Eeye o” waved white handkerchiefs to onlookers who cheered them on. Some of the placards hoisted by the women read, “VP Jonathan, stop your imposition on Ekiti rerun; Prof. Iwu, fear God; Fayemi won the election, INEC no magomago; Iwu be warned; Ayoka Adebayo, heroine of democracy.” At the Oke-Iyinmi roundabout, 10 of the half-dressed women caused a stir when they formed a separate group to perform a rite, in which they were heard appeasing the gods of the land. While the rite lasted, the women rained curses on all anti-democratic forces and those disrupting the peace of the state. The convener of the rally, Okusanya, said that the women decided to add their voice to the ding-dong that had become the lot of the governorship rerun since Saturday when the election was held. Okusanya, who is also the woman leader of the AC in the state, said that the women were AC members drawn across the state and concerned senior citizens who were fed up with the antics of INEC. Having allegedly collated the results of the rerun, she said that the embattled Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mrs. Olusola Adebayo, should be allowed to complete the assignment by announcing the winner. She said, “Non-release of the result is an ingredient for chaos and violence. The women of Ekiti are in full support of Adebayo to be allowed an unfettered atmosphere to do her job.”

sex strike among Kenyan women

Will a week-long, sex strike among Kenyan women forestall bloodshed in the East African country? Following Liberia's example, Kenya's Women's Development Organization has called for women to go on sex strike in protest of government unrest, hoping to forestall the bloodshed that wracked the country after last year's elections. Recently bickering has threatened the fragile coalition that formed only after 1,000 people were killed in power struggles. A statement, quoted by the AP, declares, "The women of this country will not ... allow its political leadership to lead it back onto a slippery journey to ... violence and absolute chaos." They hope the week-long strike will result in talks between warring factions. Says WDO's chairwoman, "We have looked at all issues which can bring people to talk and we have seen that sex is the answer...It does not know tribe, it does not have a (political) party and it happens in the lowest households." Adds Patricia Nyaundi, executive director of the Federation of Women Lawyers (Fida), to VOA, "Great decisions are made during pillow talk, so we are asking the two ladies at that intimate moment to ask their husbands: 'Darling can you do something for Kenya?'" Eleven women's groups are participating in the strike, which adds up to several thousand women. The group says they are paying prostitutes to strike, too. The movement got a boost when the Prime Minister's wife, Ida Odinga, joined the strike yesterday, saying, according to UPI, "If some women have decided, we have all decided." Not shockingly, in a country in which polygamy is still legal, the strike's meeting with resistance. According to the BBC, "Our correspondent says some would argue that Kenyan men cannot even abstain for two days. Kenyan legislator David Musila told VOA, It is a shame. It is a shame that these women can make such a statement. First of all, in my view, it is un-African, and these are some of the things in Africa we don't talk openly about, sex in front of children, and so on. And therefore, I think they are misguided and in any case, who is going to supervise and see that the boycott is implemented? It is just rubbish." The morality argument is not limited to men; says the vice chairwoman of Maendeleo ya Wanawake, Rahab Muiu "As the largest women's organization in the country, we strongly believe in family values and cannot be associated with such foul utterances which can only break families," We imagine plenty of feminists could find the strike problematic for very different reasons. What's one thing in Lysistrata is quite another in 2009 - but then, so is polygamy and disenfranchisement. As Anna put it to me, "If it works, well, that's good. But it makes me sad for mankind - with an emphasis on man."

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson says Rio Ferdinand has not cracked a rib and is hopeful the defender will be available for the Champions League semi-final second leg away to Arsenal on Tuesday. The European champions go into next week’s second-leg with a one-goal advantage following John O’Shea’s first-half match-winner at Old Trafford on Wednesday. United’s failure to convert a host of first-half chances prompted Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger to claim Ferguson's team would live to regret their profligacy once the dust has settled at the Emirates, yet United remain bullish about their prospects of reaching a second successive final. On their three previous visits to the Emirates, United have managed four goals and each result to date - a 2-2 draw and two 2-1 defeats - would prove sufficient to earn a trip to Rome. Just one goal next Tuesday for the Premier League leaders would leave Arsenal needing to score three times and Cristiano Ronaldo is confident that United have the firepower to progress. Ronaldo said: “It’s going to be difficult against Arsenal but I’m dreaming of Rome and I am very confident. The Olympic Stadium is a great stadium. I believe we can go to Arsenal and score a goal or two. “We should have scored more in the first game, but Manuel Almunia made some great saves – 1-0 is still a good result for us, though.” Had a dipping volley from Ronaldo not struck the crossbar late in the second half, United could have emerged from the first leg with a more commanding advantage. But Wayne Rooney, who goes into the second leg knowing that a yellow card would rule him out of the final should United win through, echoed Ronaldo’s assertion that Ferguson’s team would up the ante by scoring in London. Rooney said: “If we get a goal, Arsenal will need to score three so we’re in a good position. We have to go there and try to score. If we do that, it will give us a great opportunity to get to the final. “I don’t know how Arsenal will be feeling but they know what a difficult game they’ll be in for next week. They know they can’t really afford to concede a goal. We limited Arsenal to very few chances at Old Trafford and, if we do that next week, we’ll fancy our chances.” Rooney’s recent return to his best form was evident again against Arsenal, despite his deployment out of position on the left flank. The tactical move by Ferguson enabled Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez to flourish in central roles and Ronaldo, whose 42 goals last season provided the foundations of United’s success, believes he is now hitting his best form at the perfect stage. Stress & Strain MAN UNITED Injury concerns: Rio Ferdinand (rib), Owen Hargreaves (knee), Gary Neville (ankle) One booking from missing Champions League final: Wayne Rooney, Patrice Evra, Carlos Tevez ARSENAL Injury concerns: Gael Clichy (back), William Gallas (knee), Robin van Persie, Mikael Silvestre, Eduardo (all groin), Tomas Rosicky (hamstring) One booking from missing final: Abou Diaby, Samir Nasri, Robin van Persie, Alex Song CHELSEA Injury concerns: Deco (hamstring), Joe Cole (knee), Ricardo Carvalho (hamstring), Paulo Ferreira (knee) One booking from missing final: Michael Ballack, Alex, Nicolas Anelka BARCELONA Injury concerns: Gabriel Milito (knee), Martin Caceres (tonsillitis) One booking from missing final: Daniel Alves, Sergio Busquets Suspended for semi-final second leg: Carles Puyol

Nwachukwu Calls For Prosecution Of Rep Over Forgery

ABUJA- Former Minister of foreign Affairs and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Major General Ike Omar Sanda Nwachukwu (rtd) has called for the arrest and prosecution of a member of the House of Representatives, Chief Albert Abiodun Adeogun over an alleged electoral fraud that produced him as PDP candidate in the 2007 National Assembly election in Ife federal constituency of Osun State. In a strongly worded letter to PDP National Chairman, Chief Vincent Eze Ogbulafor, Gen. Nwachukwu who was the Chairman, PDP National Electoral Panel that conducted the 2006 primary election in Osun State condemned in strong terms the fraudulent manner in which the winner of the primary elections for Ife Federal Constitution, Hon John Fasogbon, was substituted with someone that never took part in the party primary election.General Ike Nwachukwu’s angry reaction was provoked by a petition by a member of the House of Representative, Hon. Albert Adeogun (Ife federal constituency) dated February 13, 2009 to PDP National Chairman in which he alleged that the result sheet in possession of one Hon Fasogbon was forged and that he (Fasogbon) also stole the certificate of return from PDP National Secretariat Abuja.Hon. Adeogun and Fasogbon have been involved in legal battle in the past two years over the authentic candidate of PDP for Ife federal constituency during the 2007 general election.Adeogun had claimed before the court of appeal in Abuja that he was the PDP elected candidate for Ife Federal Constituency and that “the certificate of return in favour of Fasogbon could not have emanated from PDP headquarters in Abuja ”.The federal lawmaker literarily dug his own grave when he mustered the effrontery to write the PDP National Chairman on National Assembly letter headed paper personally signed by him and challenged PDP National Secretariat “to state in clear terms” the status of documents in possession of his opponent. However PDP National Chairman who considered the petition and the allegations therein as very serious ordered an immediate- in-house investigation into the petition. The in-house investigation by the office of the National Organising Secretary, however, revealed that the certificate of return for Ife Federal Constituency of Osun State signed by General Ike Nwachukwu was issued in favour of Hon. John O. Fasogbon as the winner neither did Hon Adeogun feature in the primary contest.Upon receipt of the in-house report, signed by the NOS, Prince Uche Secondus, Chief Ogbulafor ordered that a letter be dispatched to General Ike Nwachukwu to confirm or deny issuance of the certificate of return and to as well authenticate his signature on it.The PDP letter dated March 12, 2009 and signed by Chief Uche Secondus to General Nwachukwu asked him to urgently confirm the authenticity or otherwise of the document in dispute and his signature on it in view of the legal battle by the two contending PDP members. In a swift reaction to PDP letter General Nwachukwu in his reply dated March 27, 2009 and personally signed by him confirmed the genuineness of the result sheet and the certificate of return which contained his signature as the authentic documents his National Electoral panel issued in favour of Hon. Fasogbon. He confirmed that the result sheet was issued by Hon. Wahab Olaniyam and Prince Lere Laoye who were representatives of his panel at the venue of the election on 25th November, 2006 upon which the final certificate of return was also issued in favour of the winner.Apparently piqued by Adeogun’s petition and the fraudulent manner in which the winner of the primary election was substituted, General Nwachukwu demanded in his reply to the PDP National Chairman that Adeogun and others involved in the electoral fraud must be persecuted to a logical conclusion for a criminal offence to serve as deterrent to others who might wish to subvert the wish of the people in future. The letter dated 27th March, 2009 read in part ““I wish to confirm that that the result sheet that returns Hon. John O. Fasogun which contained my signature and dated 26 November, 2006 is the authentic result sheet submitted to the National Secretariat of the PDP.By- MIKE ODIAKOSE

The Evils Of Pornography

It is your duty to set aside tine to pray for the salvation and deliverance of your village, locality and community. Encourage pastors and ministries to hold crusades in your locality and spend money generously to fund such outreaches. That is the better way of fighting environmental powers, fight them with armies of prayer warriors. fellowships and churches) and not alone by yourself.PORNOGRAPHYFew factors destroy a single, cut him or her off God’s power and open the person to demon possession as pornography. Pornography is depicted in blue films, magazines and video materials.Pornography can be defined as pictures, films etc intended primarily to arouse sexual desire and usually considered obscene. It is writings or pictures intended to stimulate erotic feelings by portraying sexual activity. It is books, videos etc that describe or show naked people and sexual acts in order to make people feel sexually excited, especially in a way that morally sound people find offensive. The effects of pornography among the singles (we have focused on singles but it also affects adults as well) happens in the following ways.(a) It degrades or pollutes mentally and spiritually both the people that engage in it, the people who film it and those who watch it.(b) In a mental and spiritual sense if you watch pornography, you are actually a participant in it as you watch, if you are a woman, you are being mentally and spiritually napped by the men and the women in it. If you are a man you are being mentally and spiritually seduced by the women and the men in the film.(c) Pornography destroys a singles’ conception and thinking of marriage. It is the devil’s counterfeit to marriage singles think the marriage is only about sex and this is wrong. That is why after the wedding night trouble starts in the marriage, as other issues not anticipated begin to arise in the marriage. This make single react to issues rather than plan ahead. The singles now married find out that a marriage based on sex alone cannot last.(d) Pornography practices dissatisfaction with both courtship and marriage. Spirit spouses uses pornography to stir up carnal and primitive lusts and animal passion. The result is the man or woman wants his dating partner or spouse to sleep with him or her in the styles pornstars do but all too often the hapless spouse cannot satisfy his or her mate the way that pornstars (who has practiced fornication for years).(e) It is a counterfeit marriage and a mockery of marriage by the devil. pornography is to destroy all courtships, dating, engagement and marriage that is why the devil is using it so well.(f) It destroys personal morality and makes the person’s sexual desire to degenerate to the level of beasts and demons.(g) It stirs up and creates uncontrollable lust by breaking down spiritual and moral restraint or barriers.(h) It produces and leads a person into much sexual perversion in order to satisfy his inordinate lustful craving.(i) It is addictive, the more you indulge in it the more you get addicted and crave for more. In that more pornography will satisfy you less and less.(j) It leads to one of the strongest form of sexual demon possession and the devil uses the eyes of the individuals to put him into bondage and get him possessed.(k) It defiles and pollutes the mind considerably. It prevents you having a normal thought life. It makes a person’s mind to be sick, in that the person enjoys thinking morally depraved thoughts. It increases the chances of such a person of committing fornication or adultery to 100%. The examples are too numerous to mention of so many boys and girls who after watching pornography went straight into the act after watching such films or videos. It reduces singles to the level of dogs on heat(m) It creates spirit marriages with the individuals concerned and the evil spirit spouses will start to torment such individuals(n) it destroys the chances of success of a successful marriage(o) it destroys or leads to the destruction of a single’s virginity and chastity.Pornography whether by watching, reading or hearing (phone sex) is sinful and wrong in all ramifications. It is dangerous and deadly both to singles and married persons. There is a world of difference between pornography and sex education . Pornography presurises singles into fornication during courtship. It also destroys marriage because it creates dissatisfaction between spouses because their own spouse cannot live or perform up to the standard of experienced pornstars that have practiced this sin for years. It creates regular bouts of mind fornication and adultery, the end results and the Lord Jesus Christ said in Matthew 5:27 – 28.“Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time thou shalt not commit adultery. But I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”Pornography is an excellent way to attract spirit spouses into one’s life”.Immoral Toys And Condoms. The sales and buying of immoral and sex toys is about the culmination of the societal sex madness that reigns in our society today that has proclaimed sex as a god to be worshiped and adored. This has created complex barriers for singles blocking their ways to getting married. Sex toys are in two broad ranges. One for men and the other for women. The Bible speaks of it as immorality and adultery.Men use their own toys to stimulate and imitate sexual intercourse with women. While the women use sextoys to stimulate intercourse with men. The Bible says in Jeremiah 3:9 “And it came to pass through the lightness of her whereto that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks (underlining is mine). Most of all of these sex toys are either made of stone, wood (stocks) or the product of stones and wood. All sex toys are dedicated to demons when you insert your genital into them (men) or insert it into your vagina (woman) you are committing adultery or fornication to the same extents as if you were doing it with another person.“I don’t agree you may protest. I’m only using a sex toy to satisfy my sexual urge that’s all”. The Bible says anybody having sex with stones or stocks (wood) is committing adultery. You don’t have to be doing it with a physical person to commit adultery (or fornication). Anytime you are committing adultery with sex toys (products of stone and wood (stocks), plastic product of stone rubber product of wood) you are committing adultery (or fornication) with DEMONS who marry you while you commit the act. some men and women or desperation (since they have no money to buy sex toys) commit adultery (or fornication) with pillows (men) and candles (women) respectively, a few do it with phones.Everybody having sex with sex toys or objects is committing adultery (or fornication) with demons who become their spirit spouses and as many times as you have sex with objects is as many times as you baptize your private part and your life with DEMONS and renew your bondage or marriage to spirit husbands or wives because all sex toys are dedicated to demons before they are sold.BY Uncle Sam

Who will teach our pinhead rulers that the world is now a global village? My question is whether these charlatans browse the internet, listen to world broadcasting outfits and read some of the influential newspapers and magazines. Ok, if most of them are busy chasing the free ladies in Abuja and in other hot spots in Nigeria and planning how to siphon our commonwealth, do they hear from others, who read people like Sam Nda-Isiah of Leadership, the boys at Daily Independent, Guardian, Vanguard, ThisDay, Punch and others. So, it has come to the point that these rulers are now reprobates and requesting them to care about what the world says about Nigeria is disturbing them from their normal duties of self preservations. The news is that Nigeria’s image is in a mess worldwide and leadership is the major problem. Leadership is nothing other than influence and if those who call themselves leaders fail to influence Nigerians positively, both home and in Diaspora, they have all failed the major mandate of leadership.Do these hare-brained know that it takes a minute for any event in Nigeria to circulate around the world? I cannot count how many times I have called my friend in the government to ask him about a piece of news I read about Nigeria, only for him to confirm it the next day, that is after 24 hours I have read the news. What is happening in Nigeria? This guy told me that the governors and many people in authority are not after governance any more but busy on how to amass wealth so that the EFCC will not track them down. The latest scheme is when they get federal allocations, they deposit them with various banks, and the banks in turn used the large deposit to purchase foreign currencies (pounds, dollars etc.) from the Central Bank of Nigeria and they turn around to sell them to black marketers with huge profit margin. The profits made are shared between the banks and the depositors, so a governor does not make anything less than N200 million within a day. A clean business and the EFCC can not link them to any type of corruption. They are busy running around, so how can they read or hear what is being said, or written about Nigeria? From Abuja to all the states of the federal, those rogues are not there for Nigerians but for themselves and their immediate families; so governance has literally gone bye in the present Nigeria. No thanks to Obasanjo and Yar’Adua. How I wish Fela is alive! The political space in Nigeria is now being populated by educated illiterates and illiterate millionaire traders and artisans, who have no clue of the definitions of leadership and the modern day governance at al levels. It is unfortunate that the superintendent of all these mess is no other than Umaru himself, who told us that he was once an analytical chemistry teacher at ABU, and who Nigeria had much hope in, despite his stolen mandate. Nigeria knew and they still know that it was Obasanjo that hung Umaru on us and we thought that Umaru could have utilized one of the mandates of education, rational thinking, to appease the offended Nigeria by taking rational decisions. A rounded educated man or woman does not obey, but agrees on issues. Obedience is the hallmark of military formation, the zombie style and why does Umaru obey what he is being told by those who do not wish Nigeria well? Yar’Adua is sick; he is a mere leaf that can be pushed to any direction by even, a gentle breeze. Why did Obasanjo do this to Nigeria?Nigeria is dying slowly and this is under the watch of Umaru and the infamous political brigandage called PDP. Prof. Pat Utomi wrote that everything stands and falls on leadership. Nigeria is now a ship without a rudder. There is a limit to any stretch and 90% of Nigerians are unhappy. I am foreseeing a revolution that can consume the nation. This nation cannot stand any other civil war. I can see a time bomb. The Igbos are not happy, the Ijaws are not, the Ogonis, the Yorubas, the Binis, the Tivs, the Fulanis, the Hausas, the Nupes, the Igalas and the Ibibios. I love Nigeria as one, but the politicians are stoking the death of this great nation, called Nigeria. They are taking Nigerians for granted.A friend called me from Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, May 10, 2009 with sad news. He has been preparing this business trip to Nigeria for months now and his business associates have all agreed to make this trip to Nigeria. Memorandum of Understanding has been completed, but when he asked them to bring their passports for visa, they shocked him with refusal not to go again; the reason being the incessant kidnapping that will finally kill our nation. I shrugged in my bed, for minutes, I did not utter a word. I was angry, I love Nigeria and out of anger, all I said was how I wish God would kill all the present rulers (not leaders), who are dragging Nigeria behind and replace them with people of good will and good conscience. On Sunday evening, May 11, 2009, I read in the Sun that Canada has stopped free medical treatment to Nigeria due to the kidnapping of the Canadian woman, Julie Mulligan in Kaduna. This medical mission is sponsored by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada in collaboration with Association of African Physician in Canada. Chairman Mao said little spark that sets prairie on fire.Only an idiot can take this matter unserious. In a country that does not care for her citizens medically and other social services, this is a big deal. Who are the brunt bearers, the poor who benefits from this medical mission to Nigeria? There are some other many potential investors, who will shun Nigeria because of fear of being kidnapped and the nation is the loser. If all the foreign investors in USA pull out today, American will fall, so a country like Nigeria needs foreign investors to survive as a nation, but who wants to be kidnapped by hooligans for ransom. In the early stage of 419, the government played ostrich and those crooks garnered too much money and they bought themselves political positions. It is not uncommon to see today that some of the state governors, federal and state legislators are 419 practitioners, so the vice has a strong foothold. Nigeria is on song again, the present kidnappers will amass dirty wealth and form a cartel that in 2011, most of them, will be state governors and legislators, and they will have small fries working for them. They will by that time reason that those state governments that imposed life imprisonment and death sentence on kidnappers will be revisited, because such moved will not in any way deter kidnapping, and will be against international dictates on human rights. But who says Nigeria will survive? You can accuse me of seeing glass half empty instead of half full. Folks, it is really hard on our nation right now. Nigeria is a country one hears negative and debilitating news at the dawn of every morning. Check out this roll call: poor infrastructure, no power supply, no drinking water, no roads, dwindling education, no planning, official corruption, armed robbery, child trafficking, unemployment, youth revolts, high mother-child mortality rate, incessant road accidents, bribery, teenage prostitution, no medical care, abandoned babies, frustrated widows, fake drugs, no retirement benefits, political robbery, election rigging, contract scam, financial scam, run away inflation, high interest rates, nepotism, ethnic rivalry, oppression, suppression, victimization, lawlessness, anarchy, brigandage, short longevity, youth neglect, school drop-outs, kidnapping for ransom and no leadership at all levels, except in Lagos state where there is notable visionary captain. Fashola Babatunde, may God bless you. How can a nation survive these avalanches without stress and strain?People opt for kidnapping because of two major reasons: greed and lack of employment. People opt for executive corruption because of lack of faith in the nation and unmitigated greed. There are two things that can cure all these mess: provision of employment and stringent laws. Those engaged in kidnapping may have reasons, and the only reason is lack of job and the government will be blamed for lack of concerted efforts in creating employment avenues for the teeming youths. There must be an alternative for these hooligans, but I still support the death penalty and life imprisonment passed by some state governments. The politicians, who are caught in corruption are supposed to face life imprisonment, there will be no option of fine; and we will see a reduction in executive corruption. I still agree with Lord Shang that when the law is stiff, corruption is reduced to barest minimum.Yar’Adua has not given any sign that he wants to curb corruption in the high places. I was surprised when I read that he gave the EFCC the go-ahead order to go after those who are involved in the rural electrification project scam in which Ugbane was arrested. This shows that Ibori is not convicted yet for raping Delta state because Umaru is giving him a cover. The ugly implication about all these is that we have not built an anti-corruption agency, which will act on the laws establishing it without recourse to the presidency for directions. There is need for a referendum, so that Nigerians will vote on the type of powers we will give to EFCC, to stop the country from dying from corruption. Another problem is that, who will oversee the referendum, Maurice Iwu? Forget it! Even the legislators in Abuja will not give us the type of EF
