Teenage pop sensation Justin Bieber took time out from touring on Tuesday to visit the Madame Tussauds museum in London and pose next to a waxwork model of himself.

The model, dressed in a red and black checked shirt and black jeans, was one of three Bieber replicas being unveiled -- the others were in Amsterdam and New York. "It's pretty incredible to see," said the 17-year-old, before joking about how small the waxwork was. "As you can see, you know, I'm at least six feet taller than this guy." Liz Edwards, spokeswoman for the museum, said the real Bieber would naturally change quickly over the eight months it took to create the life-like model.

"So we really wanted to make sure we made a ‘moment in time' figure," she said.

"But it's the hair that everyone is paying the biggest attention to. So,

I'd say it's the hair that's been the biggest challenge." The singer, already one of the world's biggest pop stars with albums ‘My World' and ‘My World 2.0', was accompanied to the event by his mother, and he greeted a small crowd of fans.

He said that he would ideally like his waxwork figure to stand next to U.S. rapper Tupac Shakur.

Jermaine Jackson to pen memoir on brother Michael

Singer Jermaine Jackson is detailing the life of his famous family and late brother Michael Jackson in a memoir that its publisher promises gives a close look at the complex life of the King of Pop.

The book, titled ‘You Are Not Alone: Through a Brother's Eyes' and set for release in fall 2011, will look at the Jackson family from growing up in working class Gary, Indiana to Michael Jackson's private life behind the gates of his Neverland ranch in southern California.

‘You Are Not Alone' also will examine his complex relationships with his mother Katherine and father, Joe. "It is a frank, but sophisticated examination of the human, not the legend, with revealing insights and no subject off limits," publisher Touchstone said on Wednesday.

In a statement, Jermaine Jackson noted the upcoming trial and said that his family does not want what is said in court to remain the final word on the life of his mega-star brother. "We want the world to remember his truth, his legacy, and some wonderful memories we shared as brothers, as a family. We don't want Michael's life to be an eternal mystery," Jermaine Jackson said.

Apple TV competition ?
When Google announced Google TV last week, the company made it clear that it would attempt to combinethe appeal of the Web with the abilities of set-top boxes such as TiVoor Apple TV. And although it didn't give all the details that consumerswill want to know before they pick up a Google TV device in the fall, the company made it clear that it views the entertainment text-decoration: none ! important; border-bottom: 0.2em dotted rgb(43,101, 176) ! important; padding-bottom: 0px ! important; color: rgb(43,101, 176) ! important; background-color: transparent ! important;background-image: none; padding-top: 0pt; padding-right: 0pt;padding-left: 0pt;" classname="iAs" class="iAs">as center to its consumer operations going forward. And it plans to doas much as it can to take over that space.

However, as Steve Jobs has said numerous times since its launch, hiscompany views the Apple TV as a hobby product. And that likely won'tchange anytime soon. Google TV isn't a hobby product. And the companyseems committed to being the dominant player in the home-entertainmentspace. Although other solutions could come out between now and the fallto hurt its chances of achieving that, the company ensured last weekthat at least one font-size: 100% ! important; text-decoration: none ! important;border-bottom: 0.2em dotted rgb(43, 101, 176) ! important;padding-bottom: 0px ! important; color: rgb(43, 101, 176) ! important;background-color: transparent ! important; background-image: none;padding-top: 0pt; padding-right: 0pt; padding-left: 0pt;" classname="iAs" class="iAs">- Apple TV - won't have a chance to compete.

Sites Will Be Optimized for It.
There is one potential problem with the Google TV that the search giant needs to address: sites won'tbe optimized for the set-top box. Luckily, Google has already thoughtabout that. According to the company, it will offer an SDK to siteoperators, so they can optimize their pages for the Google TV. Oncesites start supporting the Google TV, pages will be displayed just asthey are on typical monitor sizes. Unfortunately, Google said that theSDK will likely appear sometime after launch. That means folks who pickup a Google TV box in the fall will be out of luck for some months. Butthat shouldn't keep it from becoming a superior alternative to the AppleTV.

Jonathan meets Obama
By Olusola Balogun

Sunday, March 14, 2010Image5.jpg
The Presidency of acting President Goodluck Jonathan seems to be getting more international acceptance and support as American President, Barrack Obama, is reported to have invited the Nigerian leader to an international summit scheduled for next month..

Although the agenda of the said summit is still very sketchy, it was gathered that Obama personally called up the former Bayelsa governor asking him to attend the conference.

According to a source at the Presidency who confirmed the development, “it is true that the acting President will be going to the US in April and he will be attending a summit. They called it a nuclear summit.

He was personally and specially invited by Obama to attend the meeting.”

He disclosed that Jonathan is already making arrangements to attend the meeting, hinting that the acting President might use the opportunity to further press for the issue of delisting Nigeria from the list of terror nations that it was included soon after Farouk Abdulmutallab’s attempted suicide bombing on American soil.

Political analysts view the development as a major boost for the Jonathan administration that is facing some acceptability challenges from some quarters in the country.

It is also seem as a clear departure from the era of ailing President Umaru Yar’Adua who seldomly attend international summits and is in the habit of sending representatives to such meetings even before he took ill in November 2009.
