The Ondo State police have arrested five persons in connection with the kidnap of Mafe Ibrahim, the mother of Jimoh Ibrahim. According to an assistant commissioner of police who prefers anonymity, the suspects were arrested in the environs of Igbotako and are helping the police in their investigations. The police officer told NEXT that the kidnap was not politically motivated.

The state police command had recently announced that the case has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.

Playing politics with the kidnap

While the PDP, Mr Ibrahim’s party alleged that the ruling Labour Party was behind the abduction, the state government advised Mr Ibrahim and his party men to look within themselves for the kidnappers.

The state government through the commissioner for information, Ranti Akerele, accused Mr Ibrahim of “playing politics” with the kidnap of his mother.

The commissioner faulted Mr Ibrahim’s account of the kidnap saying, “Ibrahim presented the case as if the kidnap was masterminded and executed by the state government, hence his demand for the declaration for a state of emergency in the state.” Mr Akerele added, “the security agencies that have already been drafted to effect the release of this woman should look beyond the ordinary and search the confines of Jimoh Ibrahim’s household.

“They should look among his political associates who seem to be rejoicing at the sad development and his myriad of business associates.

“It is the height of immorality for anybody to think of scoring cheap political goals with the kidnap of a 65-year-old woman.

“If a beneficiary of the kindness and love of one earlier victim could organise and mastermind the kidnap of his benefactor, who says desperate political rookies cannot plan and execute the kidnap of a poor old woman?” He asked.

The commissioner also noted that the act could be carried out by the PDP, “in order to create a band of phantom stakeholders whose only tangible solution to the incident is to call for a state of emergency in Ondo State.” He said: “With all the powers at the disposal of the peace-loving government of Ondo State, issues of security have been pursued with unprecedented focus since April 2009. Such that in all the reported cases of kidnap, not only have the victims returned to safety but the culprits have been apprehended to the eternal shame of those who cry wolf when there are none.”

They wanted Jimoh out

But the PDP in a statement by its Director of Publicity, Ayo Fadaka, alleged that the Labour Party carried out the act, “to discourage Jimoh Ibrahim from further participating in politics.” Mr Fadaka said, “Our attention has been drawn to the kidnap of Madam Ibrahim, the mother of Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim who is a solid pillar of our Party both in this state and nationally. It will be recalled that our state has been going through lots of security challenges in recent weeks and this is occasioned by the garrulity of Labour Party leaders and rank and file whose concept of politicking is to stand the laws on its head and use under the table tactics to secure victory. Their approach so far has led to the death of Emmanuel Adebayo in Ose and scores of brutalised and wounded people across the state. Their latest action is the kidnap of this old woman, this development is not only evil, but sadistic, comprehensively wicked and unacceptable.

“In their imagination it is the needed trump card that is needed to disorientate, disorganise and discourage Jimoh Ibrahim in his quest to join others in leading the party to victory in the forthcoming elections in Ondo State. But we want to assure them that their calculation is not only shallow but will fail to achieve their desired goal.” Mr Fadaka called on the law enforcement agents to treat the matter with urgency, adding that the culprits and their sponsors should be brought to book.

Mr Ibrahim’s mother was kidnapped from her Igbotako home on Sunday evening by four unidentified gunmen. It was gathered that the gunmen arrived at the house, a one-storey building located in the outskirts of the town around 8pm, and pretended to be customers who wanted to buy some locally made mats which the woman was selling.

A look at this lady will never give her away for a man. From her breast and well shaped figure, to her steps , she looks every inch like a lady. But the bubble burst after she was discovered to be a man.

In a Strange Case of What a Woman Can Do A Man might just get caught doing it .

19-year-old Ogunleye Idris, is one of the numerous young men who pose as ladies out there , in order to get money from their men folk.

Idris who just finished his secondary school education at Kings college Lagos, last year, was apprehended in a bar in Surulere area of Lagos, Sunday, where he had as usual, dressed like a man, waiting for a prey.

By sheer stroke of luck, a man(names withheld) reportedly walked into the bar in the company of two other ladies. But he was said to have been attracted to Idris who gave him an inviting look.

But Idris attitude was said to have raised the man's suspicion, when he attempted to fondle with his breast. Out of curiosity, the man reportedly managed to touch Idris' breast, where to his surprise, a sachet water fell off from the brazier. This caused an uproar, following which Idris was subsequently arrested.

In this interview with crime Alert, the Ogun state born disclosed that he began the illicit business this month, with a view of raising money to further his education.12166297482?profile=original

Hear him, " I went into it in order to raise money for my education. After my secondary school education, my father told me he could not afford money for me to buy JAMB form. Again there was nobody to help me because I am a man... I realized that men do not help their fellow men but women. Then, I decided to start dressing like a lady to deceive men and get money from them but I do not sleep with them. Whenever it gets to that stage, I stylishly excuse myself"

Asked how he usually collected money from men, he revealed that he would dial any number and if the owner happened t o be a man, he would invite him over, posing as a club girl. His preys according to him, sometimes fell into his trap while others disregarded him.

Continuing, Idris said, "so far, I have realised N20,000, out of which I used to buy part time form in University of Lagos and a JAMB form"

Asked if his parents are aware of what he was into, he shook his head, explaining that he never paraded himself like a lady around his vicinity in Isolo. On how he usually got himself dressed, he explained, " first , I would get a female dress and place two sachets of water on my breast, to make me look like a female and then, I will wear female shoes. I cat-walk like women because I always watch them walk and have been practicing the way they walk until I started this year. I had contemplated quitting at the end of next month,", he said.

The Lagos State Police Deputy Public Relations Officer, Mr Adesanya Jinadu, who cautioned men to be and wary of the likes of Idris out there, said he would be charged to court for attempt to defraud and attempt to breach public peace.

PLAIN clothed security agents in their hundreds seized, Charles Okah, the younger brother to detained MEND leader, Henry Okah, in Apapa area of Lagos.

Charles Okah was arrested with some of his children according to family sources.

His brother, Henry Okah, who is currently detained by the South African police and undergoing trial for terror -related charges claimed in diary seized from him that Charles was faking his voice to negotiate with the Nigerian authorities in a "cease-fire" deal.

It is not clear if Charles was arrested over his brother's claims before South African magistrate or relating to the latest MEND threats which security sources said might have been traced to him.

Nigeria tightened security Saturday at the busy Abuja International Airport, a day after the militant group MEND threatened an imminent attack in the nation's capital, travellers said.

The officials, armed with bomb detectors, screened vehicles about 250 metres (800 feet) out on the airport access road, including conducting physical inspections of some vehicles.

"There was no such security measures in place at the airport three days ago," one traveller said.

The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) threatened in a statement on Friday that a bomb attack was "imminent" in Abuja, which experienced twin car bombings two weeks ago in which at least 12 people died and several others injured..

The threat came in a statement that criticised the government's response to the October 1 Independence Day bombings.

More details has emerged as to why the Director General of the IBB Campaign Organization, Chief Raymond Dokpesi was invited and detained by the state security services, earlier today. According to a top security source who elected anonymity,

Chief Dokpesi was arrested, following a revealing Short Message Service (SMS) text message sent to the phone of one of the suspects in police custody, asking “if Dokpesi has paid the balance”, and another SMS “inviting another suspect to a meeting at IBB Campaign office”..

Raymond Dokpesi a source revealed brings to seven the number suspects so far
arrested out of the nine on the wanted list of the police.

According to top security sources, Dokpesi was being detained for
questioning by the security agencies, following “a text message found in
the phone of one of the arrested suspects. The text message reads:
“have you collected the balance from Dokpesi?”

The source said, “this was said to have sent alarm signals across the
nation’s security apparatus, since the suspect concerned is considered to be
neck deep in the bombing plot.

“It became more dramatic when another text sent to another suspect in our
custody reads: ‘lets meet at IBB campaign office’, this led to what is
called security circles as ‘a high tech sting operation’ which in a matter
of hours, has netted a wider ring of suspects”.

It was also gathered that a suspect who never knew he was already under
surveillance confided in a friend via a text that
“na we do am…..meet me make I brief u”, is currently confessing more details to the security agencies.

According to our source, another suspect allegedly confessed that “in the last two weeks he bought a brand new Nissan Murano SUV from funds received from Dopkesi”.

The confession, according to the source, includes a directive from
Mr. Henry Okah that they should destabilize the government since Jonathan
“was not ready to put serious money on the table”.

However, just before press time sources within the IBB 2011 Campaign Organisation revealed that Chief Dokpesi has regained his freedom.

Edo monarch arrested for human trafficking

An Edo monarch, Chief Dogwo Ebiredelu, and the Nigeria Immigration Service, Lagos State Command, are bickering over an alleged attempt by the monarch to traffic two ladies to Turkey.

Ebiredelu was intercepted at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja, on Friday with two ladies, Mrs. Queen Ebiredelu and Miss Egharevba Omozuwa, both 22 year-old, whom he claimed were his wife and maid respectively.

On one hand, the monarch, who is the Ebiredelu of Emuhi in Esan West Local Government, Edo State, said his wife and maid needed to travel with him so as to attend to his need in Turkey..

"They said they will deal with me because I refused to settle them. As a traditional ruler, I travel with my wife and maid to take care of my needs," he said.

But on the other hand, the NIS said the monarch gave a similar reason when he was intercepted on a similar journey with two ladies on their way to Switzerland in January 2009.

Ebiredelu carried a genuine diplomatic and a valid Turkish visa, while the ladies had their visas on Nigerian e-passport.

Parading the suspects before newsmen in Lagos on Tuesday, Comptroller of the Lagos State Command of the NIS, Mr. Lasun Olaitan, said in the course of routine investigation at the airport, NIS officials discovered that the Edo monarch could not give any genuine reasons why he was travelling with the two ladies.

Olaitan said, "We did not allow him to continue with his journey because he could not give genuine reasons why he was travelling with the two ladies. The monarch was also using a diplomatic passport, which is strictly meant for top government officials. This passport is only owned and used by government officials who have official duties to perform for the federal or state government outside the country.

"But the chief said he is going for seven-day holiday in Turkey and you know, the issue of human trafficking has become rampant and we are trying to curb it.

"The situation also became worse when we discovered that the monarch was interrogated in January 2009 for also attempting to carry two ladies abroad and he gave the same reasons."

Olaitan said that while investigations continued, Ebiredelu and the suspected victims of human trafficking would be handed over to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons and Other Related Offences for further questioning.

Speaking angrily however, the monarch said he obtained his diplomatic passport from the Federal Government, adding that it was the sixth that he was using.

He blamed the Immigration for not carrying out proper investigation on the authenticity of his passport and visa before going to the press.

Ebiredelu also clarified that the ladies and not him were intercepted, adding that it became incumbent on him to intervene since they were travelling with him.

When asked if he had any document to show one of the ladies was his wife, he said there was no document, adding that he had three wives and eight children.

The alleged wife, Queen, who appeared weak, said they had been married since 2005, adding that there was no document to show that they were married because they had traditional wedding.

She also claimed to possess an Ordinary National Diploma certificate from Edo State Polytechnic, Usen.

The maid, who said she stopped schooling after obtaining Junior Secondary School Certificate in 2004, but spoke eloquent English Language, also corroborated her master's claim that she was a maid going to Turkey to tend to the monarch.

Tomb raider arrested in Lagos

A 30-year-old man, Femi Ade, is in the police custody for allegedly stealing corpses at a cemetery in Lagos.

Mr. Ade, a married man was arrested by police officers from the Ojo police station on June 3rd during a stop and search operation. The suspect was riding an unregistered Suzuki motorcycle, and had a black polythene bag tied to the motorcycle. The lack of license plates caught the attention of the police officers who stopped him to demand for an explanation.

Startled by what they described as an offensive odour emanating from the polythene bag strapped to the motorcycle, the officers questioned Mr. Ade about the contents. The suspect reportedly could not give the officers a convincing answer, and was subsequently asked to open the bag.

Shocking discovery

The opened bag revealed decomposed human parts. The bag allegedly contained a severed female head, two hands, two legs, intestines, and other unidentified human parts.

The suspect was taken to the Ojo police station, and upon interrogation, confessed to have severed the human parts from the corpse of a teenage girl, identified as Sakirat, from the Era cemetery at Ijanikin. Mr. Ade, however, said he was only running errands for a security man at the cemetery.

“My name is Femi Ade and I am married with a child,” he said. “I am from Ijebu-Ode. I am a bricklayer and an Okada rider. I used to work as a security guard at the Era cemetery, but I had stopped working there a few months ago. When I was still working at the cemetery, I was with one Baba Ikale, who is also a security man at the cemetery.

One day, one man came with his family that they want to bury their daughter called Sakirat. Baba Ikale and I gave them a parcel of land where we buried the girl. They paid Baba Ikale some money and they gave me five hundred naira for my assistance. It was Baba Ikale that came up with the idea that we should remove the body and sell to people who need them. I was only running errand for Baba Ikale. He asked me to take the human parts to a man called Lanre at Ojo Market. This is my second time of doing this, the first time, I was paid N1500 and this time, I got N2500.”..

Police on their trail

Police spokesperson, Frank Mba, who paraded the suspect at the Oduduwa police station on Monday with the decomposed human parts, said the Lagos state police command is on the trail of suspected criminals who buy and sell corpses in the state.

“Investigation into this case is ongoing and the essence of this parade is to clear the insinuation that ritualists are on the prowl in Lagos,” he said. “This is a case of a deceased taken from the grave and the parts severed to be sold. The suspects are desperados who are morally bankrupt raiding and scavenging cemeteries and removing human parts for money. The police officers visited the suspect’s house and found human bones and other parts in his room. Part of our target is to know the motive behind the act, and arrest other people involved in this dastardly acts and bring them to face the law.

Mr. Mba, a superintendent of police, assured Lagos residents that the force was capable of exposing such grisly merchants, and appealed to people who have buried relatives recently at the cemetery to assist the police in their investigations.

“We would like to assure Lagosians that there is no cause for alarm as the police is prepared to nip all crime in the bud,” he said. “We give kudos to the DPO of the Ojo police station and the officers who made this arrest. The suspect tried to bribe the policemen with N50, 000 but as professionals, they rejected the amount and arrested the suspect. We would like to appeal to the public and to families who had buried their loved ones at the cemetery in the past few weeks should come to the Ojo police station and provide us with useful information that will help us with our investigations.”

An Edo State House of Assembly 2011 aspirant, Eme Zuru Ayortor, 52, has been apprehended by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), for attempting to smuggle 2.12kg cocaine in his stomach.

The suspect, who is a pharmacist, was nabbed at the screening area for passengers at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, while trying to board a Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt.

Mitchell Ofoyeju, spokesperson for the anti-narcotics agency, disclosed that the politician is one of the high profile suspects nabbed by the NDLEA at the airport in recent times..

“After undergoing observation, the pharmacist-turned-politician excreted 100 pieces of powdery substance that tested positive to cocaine, weighing 2.12kg. The quantity also makes him the highest drug ingesting suspect since January 2010,” he said.

According to Mr. Ofoyeju, the suspect claimed to have relied on his physique and social status to evade arrest, stressing that the strategy was not successful for the suspect this time.

“A preliminary check on him revealed that he was preparing himself financially for the forthcoming election into the Edo State House of Assembly,” said Ofoyeju.

Ahmadu Giade, chief executive of the agency, assured that the police is determined to expose anybody dealing in narcotic drugs under any guise.

“We do not look at faces in conducting drug screening, and we are not moved by credentials. Whoever is dealing in narcotics shall be exposed and prosecuted in line with the agency’s act,” he said in a statement.

The suspect

According to the agency, the suspect, Mr. Ayortor, taught at the Baptist High School, Benin City, before going to the United States where he studied Pharmacy at the University of Wisconsin, adding that he returned to Nigeria in 2006, and the following year contested for a seat at the Edo State House of Assembly but he lost.

Hamza Umar, airport commander for the agency, disclosed that the case is under investigation, adding that follow-up operations on the development have been positive.

“A follow-up operation into the case is yielding very positive results, and at the appropriate time, more facts shall be released to the public,” he said.

The suspect, in a statement from the agency, disclosed that he lost all he had as a pharmacist when he contested the 2007 elections in Edo State.

“I contested the 2007 House of Assembly election in Edo State and lost. I also lost all my savings as a practising pharmacist in that election. Now, the coast is clear, and I am being favoured to run in 2011 in my party. That was how I got involved in this mess. I needed to reposition myself for the 2011 election financially. I thought that with my position and appearance, there will be no problem at the screening. I do not know where to start from here,” he lamented.

Meanwhile, Mr. Ofoyeju disclosed that the agency had in times past arrested a doctorate degree holder, an ex-counsellor, and a family at the Lagos airport. He added that the politician and drug peddler will soon be charged to court.

9gerian shot dead, 32 arrested in Poland

A yet-to-be-identified Nigerian was shot dead in the Polish capital of Warsaw yesterday after a struggle with policemen who chased him through a crowded open-air market.

Traders pelted officers with bricks, in the process, police said after making 32 arrests.According to the Polish police, 32 other Nigerians are under detention following the development. The 36-year-old man took flight when a police patrol entered the market in the central Praga district, Police Spokesman Mariusz Sokolowski told AFP.

Traders threw bricks and other objects at police when they began to pursue him, Sokolowski said..

“According to certain witnesses, the man tried to wrestle a gun away from a policeman,” when it went off, he said.

“A police officer was wounded and hospitalised. Thirty-two people were detained, most likely all Nigerians, but we are still checking their identities,” Sokolowski added.

Investigators have opened an inquiry into the circumstances of the man's death. A similar case in Greece, another European country in 2007, had led to a massive protest by African immigrants.

The Nigerian in his 20s had died after he jumped from a building where he was selling pirated DVDs in a café in the Northern city of Thessaloniki..

He had fled when he believed police in the cafe were trying to arrest him.

The prefect of the region of Greece, Panayiotis Psomiadis, had condemned the action stating: “The tragic death of the young man from Nigeria reminds us all of the difficult days we Greeks experienced a few decades ago when we emigrated to make a living.”

The protest that ensued attracted immigrants from all over Africa while the police had a tough time trying to restore peace and order.

They fired tear gas while the crowd threw stone at them outside the police station holding up photographs of the dead man.

According to the prefect, it is the duty of the Greek state, whose development was influenced by emigration, to show sensitivity and attribute blame where necessary. Poland has diplomatic relations with Nigeria with its embassy in Abuja and that of Nigeria situated in Warsaw.

Many Nigerians had travelled to the European country on scholarship in the last three decades especially in the area of medicine and pharmacy. Intermarriages between them and Nigerians have led to the formation of Nigerwives, an association of foreign women married to Nigerian men.

RCCG pastor arrested over N7.5m unpaid loan
By CHRIS ANUCHA

Thursday, April 29, 2010
A Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) pastor, Akin Obatusin, has been arrested and detained at the Special Fraud Unit (SFU), Milverton Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, over a loan of N7.5 million.

Daily Sun gathered that another RCCG pastor, Abimbola Oresegun, wrote a petition to SFU that led to the arrest.

His detention at the Special Fraud Unit was also confirmed by a senior police officer, who spoke to Daily Sun but wouldn’t want his name in print. Problem started when Pastor Obatusin, an Estate Agent, allegedly borrowed the sum of N7.5 million, from the complainant on August 2009, to execute a contract.

The condition attached to the loan was that the suspect would pay back, after one month with 8 per cent interest. Also, the duration of the loan was one month. Two days after collecting the N7.5 million, Obatusin approached Oresegun and requested for another N2 million loan, this time, for himself.

The cleric had told Oresegun he wanted to use the money to complete the construction of his parents’ building, located at Layori Soetan Street, Sawmill, Gbagada, Lagos. The suspect was said to have promised to pay back the money, with 5 percent interest per month, immediately tenants moved into the house. He was also expected to pay back in one month..

However, Oresegun started to smell a rat when his pastor -colleague failed to pay back at the expiration of the one month.

According to a source, when Oresegun approached Obatusin, he (Obatusin) begged him to allow him use the money for further business transactions, a request which Oresegun turned down. After he failed to convince him to allow him hold on to the money, the pastor, again promised to pay in September 2009, before the lender traveled to Toronto, Canada, for further studies. But he never did.

While in Canada, a couple of e-mails were exchanged between the two pastors, during which Obatusin promised to make the money available by the first week of December 2009, when he would have returned to Nigeria. It was gathered that he again extended it to January 4, 2010. Following many breach of his promises, Oresegun decided to take the matter to their senior pastors, through a letter dated March 18, 2010. In the letter, the lender narrated how he lent some money to Obatusin and how he failed to honour the gentleman agreement he entered into with him.

Oresegun sought the Senior Clerics’ intervention, to prevail on Obatusin, now a Church Administrator, to pay back the money he borrowed from him.

Also in the letter, he told his fellow pastors how the suspect had in a separate business deals, assisted his wife to refurbish a building, let it out and allegedly collected N3.6 million, but refused to remit the money to his wife. It was when his efforts to collect the money failed that Oresegun decided to report the matter to the Special Fraud Unit. At SFU.

The complainant narrated how he had known the suspect at RCCG, Maranatha Chapel, Gbagada, Lagos, since 1999, which his wife attended.

He explained that his trust in Obatusin was based on the fact that he (Obatusin) once assisted him to procure a land and Certificate of Occupancy (C of O). The complainant also attached copies of e-mails exchanges between two of them to the petition he sent to SFU. The e-mails also were made available to Daily Sun.

Quite Strange that Al Qaeda is losing its touch as two failed attacks on American Soil have occurred .s-FAISAL-SHAHZAD-TIMES-SQUARE-large.jpg

A man has been arrested in connection with Saturday's attempted car bombing in New York's Times Square.

The suspect is Faisal Shahzad, a 30-year-old U.S. citizen of Pakistani descent. The Connecticut native was captured at JFK International Airport while attempting to board a flight to Dubai. According to a colleague, CNN's Deb Feyerick "reports the suspect was taken off the plane when he was arrested."

Statement from U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder:

Earlier this evening, Faisal Shahzad was arrested in connection with the attempted car bombing in New York on Saturday. Mr. Shahzad, an American citizen, was taken into custody at JFK Airport in New York as he attempted to board a flight to Dubai.

Since this plot was first uncovered on Saturday night, the FBI, prosecutors and intelligence lawyers in the National Security Division of the Justice Department and the U.S. Attorneys Offices in Manhattan and Connecticut, along with the NYPD have worked night and day to find out who was responsible for what would have been a deadly attack had it been successful. Over the course of the day today, we have gathered significant additional evidence that led to tonight's arrest, which was made by agents from Department of Homeland Security's Customs and Border Protection.

This investigation is ongoing, as are our attempts to gather useful intelligence, and we continue to pursue a number of leads. But it's clear that the intent behind this terrorist act was to kill Americans..

FBI agents are working with their state and local counterparts in New York, Connecticut and other jurisdictions to gather evidence and intelligence related to this case. We are also coordinating with other members of the President's national security team to ensure we use every resource available to the United States to bring anyone responsible to justice.

We continue to gather leads in this investigation, and it's important that the American people remain vigilant. The vehicle in Times Square was first noticed on Saturday by a citizen who reported it to authorities, and, as always, any American who notices suspicious activity should report it to the appropriate law enforcement agencies.

This investigation is ongoing, it is multi-faceted, and it is aggressive. As we move forward, we will focus on not just holding those responsible for it accountable, but also on obtaining any intelligence about terrorist organizations overseas.

Because of the fast-moving nature of this investigation, I am not able to make any further information public at this time. But the American people should know that we are deploying every resource available, and we will not rest until we have brought everyone responsible to justice.

From TONY OSAUZO, Benin

Friday, April 23, 2010
About 17 private secondary schools proprietors have been arrested for allegedly forging the signature of the Edo State Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Ngozi Osarenren in their desperate bid to illegally enroll candidates for the 2010 West Africa Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSSCE).

The proprietors were alleged to have gone through the back door to get the clearance of the Ministry of Education to register extra candidates for the examination..

The commissioner, who disclosed this while addressing journalists, said her ministry had put strict measures in place to ensure a hitch-free conduct of the examination, adding that the measures were to plug loopholes that could lead to examination malpractice by some of the private schools.

She explained that schools were expected to obtain clearance from the ministry’s Department of Planning, Research and Statistics using particular form. She added that the clearance involved private schools producing the certificate of approval and renewal fees for three years up to 2008.

“The clearance is, thereafter, taken by the proprietor/proprietress to the Chief Inspector of Education of the school’s Local Government Area where the Chief Inspector of Education clears for the Junior School Certificate Examination Certificates and the number to be enrolled,” Dr. Osarenren explained.

She added that the clearance letter was to be issued by the Honourable Commissioner for Education to the West African Examinations Council for enrolment of a particular number of candidates for the school, after all processes had been checked by Director of Education.

The commissioner announced that 17 schools in Benin City were discovered to have forged her signature and official letter head paper to get clearance for enrolment and promised to release more list of offending schools.

Five persons who claimed to be pastors are currently in the custody of the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly operating an illegal military outfit.

They were also accused of unlawful possession of Nigerian Army uniforms with badges of ranks.

The suspects include Bishop Macrran Ransome; Rev. Al-Hassan Emmanuel; Bishop Raymond Bakeh; Prophet Sunday Ofordu; and Robinson Igbarumah.

The command's Public Relations Officer, Mr. Frank Mba, told journalists on Tuesday that the suspects were accused of running a military outfit known as Go Army.

Mba, a superintendent of police, said the suspects were arrested by the Military Police, Nigerian Army, Arakan Barracks, Lagos and were handed over to the command for further investigation and prosecution.

As at the time of their arrest, they were said to be wearing military uniforms with badges of ranks ranging from Lt.Col. to Maj.-Gen. and were in possession of identity cards bearing military ranks.

Ransome, who claimed to be the group's Commandant-General and goes by the rank of "Chaplain Lieutenant Colonel," told journalists that the outfit was established to provide service to humanity.

He said he lured others into the group with the claim that he had the backing of the Director of Chaplain Service (Protestant) of the Nigerian Army and that the group would afford them the opportunity to sharpen their pastoral skills.

He was allegedly using the auditorium of his church, The Apostolic Christian Chapel, Itire, Lagos, for military training for members every Saturday.

Other suspects, who spoke with journalists, confirmed that Ransome fooled them into joining the group.

They claimed that he had realised over N4m, especially from the over 50 members of the group that were made to part with between N70,000 and N80,000 for registration and kits.

They alleged that trouble started when they suspected that he was not saying the truth about the involvement of the military in the programme and they decided to approach the said Directorate to ascertain the true position of things.

Apart from being a clergyman, Igbarumah claimed to be a chartered accountant and the managing partner of an accounting firm, Robinson Igbarumah and Co.

Yemen Bombed 3weeks Ago by the Sauidis/ US ,2 former naija Justices sons accomplices of Mutallab Bombshell Eyewitness Revelations: Confirmed FBI Cover-Up Of Flight 253 Attack Detroit attorney Kurt Haskell dropped bombshell revelations concerning his eyewitness experience of the Flight 253 attack and how the FBI detained a second man after dogs detected a bomb in his luggage on The Alex Jones Show today. The FBI has not only ignored Haskell’s story, but they have launched a cover-up by refusing to even acknowledge the existence of another man who filmed the entire flight, including the aborted attack, as well as the well-dressed man who aided the bomber to board the plane even though he had no passport and was on a terror watch list. Watch this space for more stories on this astounding news that the corporate media has completely failed to cover. Detroit attorney Kurt Haskell appeared on the Alex Jones Show today and detailed his experience at the Amsterdam airport and on flight 253. Mr. Haskell provided information not covered by the corporate media. Kurt Haskell. In addition to a detailed retelling of the story he gave the corporate media, Mr. Haskell addressed the unprofessional and lackadaisical behavior of the FBI and airport security after the plane landed at the Detroit Metro airport in Romulus, Michigan. He characterized their behavior as a “complete embarrassment. They actually put us in more jeopardy than we were already in.” Passengers were told to remain seated in the aircraft for 20 minutes after landing despite the fact security did not know at that point if there was an explosive on the plane or if the fire started by the suspect Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab while on descent to the airport had spread under the floor in the cabin or to the fuel tanks in the wings. After being allowed to disembark from the plane by officials, passengers were detained in customs with their carry-on luggage for six hours while they waited to be interrogated by the FBI, according to Haskell. At this point a bomb-sniffing dog pointed at carry-on luggage in the possession of a man Haskell described as Indian around 30 years old. Officials led the man away to an interrogation room. Haskell said he was concerned because the bomb-sniffing dog had flagged the man, indicating he may have had explosives in his carry-on luggage. The Indian man was subsequently led away in handcuffs. Following this incident the FBI moved the passengers to another location. “You’re being moved,” the FBI told them, “it is not safe here. I’m sure you all saw what happened and can read between the lines and why you’re being moved.” Haskell said the corporate media refuses to cover this aspect of his story. He has repeated it to “countless” news agencies and they uniformly have not included it to his knowledge. Mr. Haskell questioned why officials have not released the Amsterdam airport security video that will undoubtedly reveal crucial information about the “sharp-dressed man” who escorted a disheveled Mutallab to the boarding area. Haskell described the suspected terrorist as appearing to be a “poor black teenager.” The well-dressed Indian man did all the talking. He insisted Mutallab be boarded on the plane without a passport and when an airport employee refused to do so Mutallab and the Indian man went to talk with a supervisor. The Indian man tried to pass off Mutallab as a Sudanese refugee and have him boarded despite the fact doing so would be in violation of regulations concerning refugees. In general, documentation must be provided by an embassy in order for refugees to board international flights. Mr. Haskell did not see Mutallab again until the botched terror bombing inside the plane on the approach to Detroit. He did not know how Mutallab finally boarded the aircraft. The FBI was not pleased with Kurt Haskell when they conducted a follow-up interview earlier today in Michigan. They showed him close-up photographs of various people, including Mutallab. “They kind of tried to trick me,” Haskell explained. The agents tried to pass off two photos of Mutallab as different people. Kurt asked the agents if they were attempting to impeach his story and smear him. The Indian man was not included in the photographs. Haskell asked them why he was not shown a full body shot of the suspect. Haskell was eight rows back from the suspect. The FBI agents did not answer and were displeased with the question. He also asked the FBI agents if it would be more appropriate to bring the surveillance video from the Amsterdam airport instead of still photos. “I don’t think they liked that comment from me,” Haskell added. The FBI said they did not have the videotape. The agents showed Haskell a photograph of the man flagged by the bomb-sniffing dog and taken into custody in customs. “Isn’t this the man who had the bomb in his carry-on bag that you arrested in customs who you refuse to admit exists?” Haskell asked the agents. “They really didn’t like that comment from me and had no comment back to me but I said it sure looks like the man you refuse to admit exists.” Kurt Haskell was circumspect and careful not to speculate during the interview with Alex Jones. He indicated he is only interested in the facts and does not want to endanger his version of events by speculating on motives. More Reports In a full unedited interview with Alex Jones, a nationally syndicated radio talk show host, Mr. Haskell recalled that just before being questioned about the sharp dressed man incident a man was pulled into a room, handcuffed, and detained by authorities. Who was he? Why was he detained? Is there any relevance to the story? Haskell described the man as being a much younger Indian man. After the incident authorities asked the passengers to move to another location. Obviously it was a big deal. Surely the larger media outlets could find out who this man was and what he was detained for. According to Haskell the authorities then told the passengers that obviously they had a problem. The passengers were then told they could figure out what was going on but nothing more.Something doesn’t smell right and it’s not the underwear bomb. The reason given for the terrorist attempt was the bombing of Yemen by Saudi’s with help from American CIA. Ron Paul called that one right away before Mutallab said it to authorities. Why didn’t any news agencies cover the bombing of Yemen before yesterday afternoon? It was almost like they had to cover it after the alternative media had already let the cat out of the bag so to speak. That also brings up the question why didn't they cover the man who was detained prior to questioning?

31 years later US Movie-maker Polanski arrested

WHAT A LEGAL AND POLICE SYSTEM CAN THIS HAPPEN TO JAMES OHANEFE IBORI ?Film director Roman Polanski, whose turbulent life has come close to resembling the violent, perverse world of his movies, was arrested in Switzerland on a 1978 U.S. arrest warrant for unlawful sex with a 13-year-old.Polanski, 76, had been due to receive a prize for his life's work at the Zurich Film Festival on Sunday evening, opening a retrospective of his film career but was arrested on arrival at Zurich airport on Saturday night.Calling Polanski, who won Best Director Oscar for "The Pianist" in 2003, one of the greatest film directors of our time, the festival directors said they had "received this news with great consternation and shock."Polanski's Los Angeles agent and the U.S. embassy in Zurich were not immediately available for comment.Zurich Cantonal Police spokesman Stefan Oberlin said Polanski's arrest had been carried out on instructions from the Federal Justice Department in Berne.Polanski was arrested in the United States in the late 1970s and charged with giving drugs and alcohol to a 13-year-old girl and having unlawful sex with her at a photographic shoot at Jack Nicholson's Hollywood home.Maintaining the girl was sexually experienced and had consented, Polanski spent 42 days in prison undergoing psychiatric tests but fled the country before being sentenced.Considered by U.S. authorities as a fugitive from justice, Polanski, whose films include "Rosemary's Baby" and "Chinatown," has lived in France avoiding countries that have extradition treaties with the United States.Turbulent lifeFew lives have turned into the macabre public spectacle that Polanski's has, first after the gruesome murder of his pregnant wife Sharon Tate in 1969 by the Charles Manson murder gang, and again eight years later when he was arrested for the statutory rape of the 13-year-old girl. But few directors have laid bare their inner fantasies and fears like Polanski in films such as "Repulsion," "Rosemary's Baby" and "The Tenant" -- films of disturbing brutality shot through with voyeurism and dark humour. From early childhood when he escaped the Nazi holocaust in Poland, Polanski's life has appeared, like his movies, to hover precariously on the brink of tragedy.Born Raymond Polanski to Polish-Jewish parents on August 18, 1933, he spent the first three years of his life in Paris before the family returned to Poland. When the Germans sealed off the Jewish ghetto in Krakow in 1940, his father shouted to Roman to run and he escaped. His mother later died in an Auschwitz gas chamber. His first full-length feature film after graduation, "Knife in the Water," won awards and, most important for Polanski, was his ticket to the West.As his reputation grew -- first with "Repulsion," his study of a woman terrified by sex who becomes a psychotic murderer, and then with the absurdist masterpiece "Cul de Sac" -- Polanski developed a taste for the high life and beautiful women. In 1974 Polanski had another major Hollywood success with "Chinatown," a stylish thriller starring Nicholson, but his private life stayed unsettled as he drifted between Paris, Rome and Los Angeles and embarked on numerous short-lived affairs. In 2003, he won the Oscar for "The Pianist.""I am widely regarded, I know, as an evil, profligate dwarf," Polanski wrote in his autobiography. "My friends -- and the women in my life -- know better."
