Little David comes home from first grade and tells his father that they learned about the history of Valentine's Day."Since Valentine's Day is for a Christian saint and we're Jewish," he asks, "will God get mad at me for giving someone a valentine?"David's father thinks a bit, then says, "No, I don't think God would get mad. Who do you want to give a valentine to?""Osama bin Laden," David says."Why Osama bin Laden," his father asks in shock."Well," David says, "I thought that if a little American Jewish boy could have enough love to give Osama a valentine, he might start to think that maybe we're not all bad, and maybe start loving people a little bit. And if other kids saw what I did and sent valentines to Osama, he'd love everyone a lot. And then he'd start going all over the place to tell everyone how much he loved them and how he didn't hate anyone anymore."His father's heart swells and he looks at his boy with newfound pride. "David, that's the most wonderful thing I've ever heard.""I know," David says, "and once that gets him out in the open, the Marines could blow the shit out of him

An escaped convict broke into a house and tied up a young couple who had been sleeping in the bedroom. As soon as he had a chance, the husband turned to his voluptuous young wife, bound up on the bed in a skimpy nightgown, and whispered, "Honey, this guy hasn't seen a woman in years. Just cooperate with anything he wants. If he wants sex with you, just go along with it and pretend you like it. Our lives depend on it!" "Dear," the wife hissed, spitting out her gag, "I'm so relieved you feel that way, because he just told me that he thinks you're really cute!"

The was a man named George who got a new job. His fellow employees always met for a round of golf every Saturday. They asked George to meet them at 10:00 Saturday morning. George replied that he would love to meet them, but he may be 10 minutes late.On Saturday morning George was there at exactly 10:00. He golfed right handed and won the round.Next Saturday rolls around, and George says that he will be there, but he may be 10 minutes late again. He shows up right on time, golfs left handed, and wins the round. This continues for the next few weeks, with Geoge always saying that he may be 10 minutes late, and then always winning the round golfing, either left or right handed. The other employees are getting tired of this, and decided to ask him what the deal was. They said, ''George, every Saturday you say you may be ten minutes late. You never are. Then you show up and golf with either right handed or left handed, and always win. What is up with that?''George replies, ''Well, I am a very superstitious kind of guy. Every Saturday when I wake up, I look over at my wife. If she is sleeping on her left side, I golf left handed. If she is sleeping on her right side, I golf right handed.''''Well,'' one of the employees questioned, ''What happens if she is laying on her back?'' George replies, ''Then I am 10 minutes late.''

I was just wondering why some people think that lying is better than saying the truth and how come people hide their own real personality until you get involved with them and then you get surprised.i know that people should be themselves and show their real iron and not hiding their personality and say when get involved with a relationship he will never get away from me, weird and sucks to beleive that you or we can not trust anyone any more.

I'm going to tell you the truth aboutwhy some men cheat in relationship and you are going to be surprisedto hear that SEX IS NOT THE MAIN REASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH? yes! youread it right! SEX IS NOT THE MAIN REASON! many people think thatmen cheats because of their lack of sex, well some of them do it forthat reason but of Psychologist M. Gary Neuman wrote a book call “Thetruth about cheating: why men stray in relationships and what to doto prevent it” which tell those reason. He discovered that mencheat in relationships because of the lack of emotional connection!(sounds like if we were talking about women right?) Let me tell yousomething: The fact that men cheat IS NOT JUSTIFY for any reason thatcauses his action! For example, what the doctor Neuman mean byemotional connection is that the man doesn't feel what he use to feelwith his wife, why do is that? well, the woman has to do with thistoo. Men do everything they can to do well and be winners, theythink that winning is the only way to feel like a man since theywere little.(Is a stupid thing for us, Women! but it makes sense forthem.) Women may push theirs parters to the arms of another woman byfocusing in the things men don't do instead in what they do! This isvery important, women sometimes are criticizing them. There isnothing men can do to satisfy women most of the time. This is anexample that is in the book, It was George's wife birthday, he wakeup very early to make breakfast for his wife before she wakes up togive her a nice surprise. He wanted to do his favorite meal but theirchildren's wanted to to pop corns! He accedes do pop corn and placedthem in the microwave but he put more than 4 minutes in themicrowave!, and obviously the pop corn get burn and a nasty odor cameout from the kitchen. Sarah (George's wife) wake up instantaneouslyand start screaming to George and telling him what the hell has hedone not taking in count his intentions! ( women , don't we said theintentions are what really count? well if you are like Sarah then YOUARE A COMLETLY LIER!) she should focus in his intentions to give hera nice surprise for her birthday! ATLEAST HE TRIED! and what hegains? a rude and crazy women that doesn't APPRECIATE WHAT HE HASDONE! this is a turn off for men. They need to be appreciated inorder to feel complete as we, women want that too is in it? well inorder to have what you want you have to give first. and the mainthing we should do is to appreciate little things to make the otherhappy ! doesn't this makes sense? As i said before, CHEATING ISBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD! but we are the oneswho perhaps create it,. SO HAVE IN MIND THAT IN ORDER TO HAVE YOU MANWITH YOU, YOU HAVE TO APPRESIATE HIM, SHOW HIM YOU LOVE BUT NOT IN ANEXESIVE WAY BUT OFTEN IF YOU WANT HIM TO DO THE SAME FOR YOU, IF YOUAPPRECIATE THE LIITTLE DETAILS HE DOES YOU ARE MAKING HIM WANT TO DOMORE AND MORE, PLEASE DONT LACK HIS WISH OF BE NICE AND MAKE YOU FEELGOOD! APRECIATE HIM AND HE WILL DO IT MORE AND MORE. DONT MAKE DRAMASAND ACT AS AN ADULT , KEEP IN MIND THAT IN A RELATIONSHIP BOTH NED TOHAVE THEIR OWN TIME ALONE AND WITH FRIENDS IS NOT QUANTITY ISQUALITY!!!!!!!!!!!! IF HE HAS A FRIEND YOU DONT LIKE WELL STAY CLOSEAND DONT SCREAM TO YOUR PARTER COMPLAINING WITH HIM ABOUT HIS FRIENDBECAUSE WHAT YOU ARE DOING IS LACLKING HIM TO TELL YOU WHAT HE DOESWHEN HE IS WITH HIM TO NOT CREATE FIGHTS WITH YOU BECAUSE OF THATSILLY THING! , INSTEAD OF THAT, STAY CLOSE AND TRY TO KNOW THATFRIEND, MAYBE YOU LL LIKE HIM. IF YOU MAN IS A SPORT FANATIC BUT YOUDONT, PLEASE TRY TO KNOW WHY HE LIKE IT SO MUCH! WHY HE HAS THATPASSION! IF YOU DO THAT YOU 2 LL BECOME MORE CLOSE AND WILL ENJOY TOTALK ABOUT IT, IF YOU DONT AND AVOID HIS CONVERSATION ABOUT IF, WHATYOU ARE DOING IS TO PUSH HIM AWAYS AND HE WILL TALK ABOUT HIS PASSIONWITH SOMEONE WHO SHARES IT! MAYBE HE WILL MEET A WOMEN IN THE STADIUMTHAT LIKES HIS FAVORITE SPORT AS MUCH AS HE DOES AND WITH THE TIMEBECAUSE THEY WILL GET CLOSER BECAUSE OF THAT HE MAY BE FALL IN LOVEWITH HER BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT SHARING THE SAME INTERESES AS HE! IM NOTSAYING GO AND BE A CRAZY LUNATIC OR THAT BOTH MUST HAVE EVERYTHINGIN COMMON! WHAT IM SAYING IS THAT IN A RELATIONSHIP WHAT MUST WEIGHTTHE MOST IS POSITIVE THINGS AND WHAT YOU 2 HAVE IN COMMON! WHILE ISMORE THINGS IS BETTER THE BOND WITH YOUR PARTNER. WELL THAT THE MAINREASON AND WHAT YOU CAN DO TO PREVENT IT. IF YOU LIKE WHAT YOU READPLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT AT LEAST. I HOPE YOU ENJOY READING IT ANDTHINK IN ALL THIS STUFF. A RELATIONSHIP IS MADE OF 2 NOT ONLY ONE,BUT APRESIATION IS NEEDED!!!!! PLEASE APPRESIATE YOU MAN AND GUYS DOTHE SAMETHING WITH YOU GIRLS BECAUSE THIS STUFF APPLY WITH WOMENTOO. THERE ARE ALOT OF MEN WHO ARE FAITHFULL AND BELIEVE ME THEY WORTH IT. I KNOW THAT THERE ARE MEN WHO JUCT CHEAT FOR SEX BUT THOSE WHO DO IT FOR THIS REASONS WILL END UP LONELY AND REJECTING FOR THEIR ACTIONS, GIRLS WE HVAE TO BE AWARE OK? DONT LET ANYONE HURT U AND DO THE BEST U CAN IN UR RELATIONSHIP SO IF UR BOYFRIEND CHEAT ON U AT LEAST IS NOT UR FALL 4 SURELast edited by PyLy on Sat Feb 07, 2009 10:43 am, edited 3 times in total.

Think of Valentine's Day as a game like Monopoly. You'll probably spend your cash like it's play money. If you invest money in nice hotels, you'll monopolise his time and if you impress him, you'll earn a "get out of jail free" card. But seriously, it's the moves you make on February 14 that will determine if you win free (overnight) parking at his apartment. So don't leave it to "chance." Here are all the tips and hints you'll need counting down to V-day.1. You should never ask a guy, "What do you want for Valentine's Day?" The best present is to show that you "get him," which means you don't have to ask.2. If you listen to him, he'll throw you a few hints. Look out for comments like, "I really need a ___," "His top is so cool," "When's the last time we spent the day together?", or "We've never been to that restaurant!" If he says anything like this, that means he wants it.3. Avoid any stuffed animal holding a cheap, red heart-shaped box. The entire red and pink aisle at Priceline should only be scouted by high school freshmen boys.4. If he bugs you for a massage every night, book her one with a professional. Can't bear someone else's hands all over him? Pretend he's at a spa and you're the masseuse. Buy massage oil, set up a table, and rub his back until he tells you to stop. It'll be happy ending for all...5. Valentine's Day is not all about material objects. In fact, the more material it is, the less impressed she'll be. An electric razor? He'll be more likely to let his legs go prickly in protest than use it. If you want to purchase something, stick to the jewellery and sexy underwear etc..6. You can cook a nice dinner, light a few candles, and share a decadent dessert, and it'll be more meaningful and intimate than any high-priced restaurant reservation.7. Pick up or order a pricier bottle. Life's too short to drink cheap wine.8. Don't wait until the last minute to pick out flowers. All you'll get is the last dog-eared bouquet. Actually, forget the flowers. They're overpriced this time of year, and you should really only give them when you want to cheer him up or say, "I'm sorry." They're the most last-minute gift you can give.9. ...Unless you use the flowers more creatively. For some reason, some men get wound up seeing roses torn up in little pieces and covering the bed or floating in a warm bubble bath you've drawn for us.10. In the beginning of a serious relationship, get him a baby-potted plant. Attach a note that says, "I hope our relationship grows." If he waters it, he wants to keep you. And if you end up beginning with him, it'll be a great memory.11. Write him a poem. Even if it sounds like one of Adam Sandler's ballads, nothing says love like, "Your butt looks so good in those jeans - I promise next time, I'll lay off the beans."12. If it's booked, don't panic. You want to take him on a Valentine's weekend getaway, but all the places you choose aren't available. Don't ditch the idea. Choose another weekend. We won't mind the wait as long as you tell us what's in store.13. Don't leave all the nasty chocolates in the box you gave him.14. Never sign a card with just "Love, Larry." We skim over all the commercially printed words on there to see if you've written a message from your heart. If words really can't express how you feel about us, then you better draw a picture.15. Don't go too crazy your first few Valentine's Day's. Remember, every year you'll be expected to top last year's gift. Pace yourself.Itbenz

miss you in the morning,When all the world is new,I know the day can bring no joy,Because it brings not you.I miss the well-loved voice of you,Your tender smile for me,The charm of you,The joy of your unfailing sympathy,Because the world is full of folks; it's true,But there was only one of you.I miss you in the noontide,The crowded city street,Seems like a desert now,I walk in solitude complete.I miss your hands beside my own,The light touch of your hand,The quick gleam in the eye of you,So sure to understand.I miss you in the evening,When daylight fades away,I miss the sheltering arms of you,To rest me for the day,I try to think I see you yet,There in the firelight gleams,Weary at last; I sleep,And I still miss you in my dreams.

(Why people get married to later find out they are in trouble.)The Family of Mr. and Mrs. Johnson is a known family in their street; they are known for fighting and trouble such that their neighbors can categorically affirm that they is no week gone by since they moved in without them going to settle some form of dispute for them. Joanne (Mrs. Johnson) now advise singles not to ignore the signs that appear little that the person they are dating may be revealing because it shows who the person really is.When she was single, Michael (Mr. Johnson) showers her with love and so much attention; but she noticed that he was always mean and selfish to people around him. His parents complain to her of how he wasn’t caring for them and his siblings who are in the university despite the fact that he works in one of the leading oil company in the nation. They had implored her to speak to him on the issue; whenever she raises it, he always has one logical excuse or the other to give for his action and in the end she felt his parents were not been appreciative of all he was doing for them. She felt in heart an uncomfortable feeling about the way she sees her fiancé treat people; but since he wasn’t do the same to her she calmed her conscience with the word he loves me. Love is what he keeps showing her with until they got married; the same guy that was always meeting her needs began complaining about how she spends money and the need to economize despite the fact he is given the list of the items the home needs and the price. Sometimes Michael will do the shopping for the family himself leaving the impression that she was managing the money given to her properly. She also came to the rude discovery that he was treating her in the same mean way that she saw him treat others while she was single; he screamed at her at will and at the slightest provocation, he hits her. Joanne’s heart cry today is that she wished she didn’t close her eyes to the obvious facts that she saw in Michael, she now live in regret for allowing her emotion blind her to the facts that were clearly visible before marriage.Stories like this are common one; check out divorce columns in daily newspapers, you will find that over 70% of those opting out of their marriage saw that things weren’t right when they were singles but assumed that their partners will change. So one of the lamentable statement that I have read in this column is, I thought he will change after marriage. The reality is that marriage don’t change people, it amplifies who they are.I have been privilege to counsel married people who lament about their partners and want to opt out of their marriage; I can visibly feel the pain some of them are going through. However, the counsel that I have always given them is that them must stay in their marriage and make it work.My question to every single that will read this article is, the love you have for the person you are dating, is it a blind one/realistic one? Someone said that ‘Love is blind, but marriage is an eye opener,’ the worst time to have your eyes open is after marriage. Permit me to question your love; can you walk out of the relationship now if you find out that your partner is two timing? Can you see the character flaws of your partner? Can you walk out of the relationship if he hits you? Can you walk of the relationship if deep inside of you; you feel that all isn’t well? Some of the singles reading this article have been beaten by their partner, some have caught their partners two timing, and some know that the best thing to do is to leave the relationship. However, they still hang on because they love their partner. This type of love is what has put many in trouble in the later part of their lives; this cycle of even will not stop because many of the emotion people call love, blind their minds from the obvious danger signs around. I don’t believe that it’s every body that you have feelings for that is you should get married to; the reason is because feelings can’t sustain a marriage. When challenges come, it’s the strength of ones character that will determine how far the marriage will go.The English adage that says ‘look before you leap’ is one that singles should not only observe before going into marriage; but it should also be taken as a maxim of life.Femi Fasanya is a prolific writer and speaker who have given talks on relationship issues in seminars and campuses in Nigeria; he’s one of the interviewers in the programme, The Lord reigns in time inspirational cable television. God will judge NigeriaSIR: I am Rev. Bunmi Olusona, a personal friend and brother to the late Paul Abayomi Ogundeji. Between 1989/90 academic session at the University of Ibadan when I was elected as the President of the University of Ibadan Student Union, late Paul Abayomi Ogundeji was elected Public Relations Officer of the union, this afforded me the opportunity to be very close to him and other members of his family back at Ogbomosho. After graduating from the University of Ibadan, we were living together at Egbeda/Akowonjo area of Lagos State before I travelled out of Nigeria in 1996. If 'Yomi' as we his friends call him were to be alive today, he probably would be the one to edit/proof read this press statement for me. I have followed his progress as a journalist right from when he took up employment wit the 'Third Eye' and later 'The Guardian Newspaper', The Punch', The Comet', he was briefly appointed to This Day editorial board.I have one thing to say, Yomi did not deserve to die the kind of death he died. During the Babangida misrule, he was the voice of our union and that of many voiceless Nigerians trying as it were to expose the decadence and total lack of direction our country was been force to go through. Yomi was a young man who came from a very humble background who endured so much hardship to attain this height, whatever he achieved was not because of any connections or one godfather somewhere but by the Grace of God, his brilliance and hard work. This guy suffered, I mean really suffered to get to where he got to.The truth is that we are not running a country, we are running corruption and confusion. I was discussing with an Irish friend who told me he had been to Lagos and called it the world headquarter of confusion. Why would there not be confusion as more that 70 per cent of the people recruited to the Nigeria police were either former armed robbers or former area boys, many more have been lured into it. Our politicians are the most corrupt and wicked political elite you will ever find or come across in your life, rather than stressing to find solution to the nation's problems, they are busy grabing whatever they can and displaying lavish wealth where they can and creating massive social problems to the chagrin of us all. Many of the so-called thieving governors are walking tall and freely everywhere and the populace has been held captive by all kinds of societal problems you can ever think about. Every one has become his own Local Government, you generate your own electricity, water, etc. Our leaders past and present should hang their heads in shame! God almighty will demand the blood of this innocent young man from our elected leaders beginning from President Yar'Adua to the Governors and the so-called law enforcers. Our law enforcement agents are beggars in the daytime and armed robbers at night! What can we do now other than for the true friends of the late Yomi to come together and see what difference we can make in the lives of his loved ones he left behind.Bunmi Olusona,Republic of Ireland

WASHINGTON – Barack Obama opened his presidency by breaking sharply from George W. Bush's unpopular administration, but he mostly avoided divisive partisan and ideological stands. He focused instead on fixing the economy, repairing a battered world image and cleaning up government."What an opportunity we have to change this country," the Democrat told his senior staff after his inauguration. "The American people are really counting on us now. Let's make sure we take advantage of it."Barack ObamaIn the highly scripted first days of his administration, Obama overturned a slew of Bush policies with great fanfare. He largely avoided cultural issues; the exception was reversing one abortion-related policy, a predictable move done in a very low-profile way.The flurry of activity was intended to show that Obama was making good on his promise to bring change. Yet domestic and international challenges continue to pile up, and it's doubtful that life will be dramatically different for much of the ailing country anytime soon.Obama's biggest agenda items — stabilizing the economy and ending the Iraq war — are complex tasks with results not expected soon. Even as Obama made broad pronouncements and signed a stream of executive orders to usher in a new governing era, his actions leave unanswered or unresolved questions, including how he will close the Guantanamo Bay prison camp for suspected terrorists. In other cases, Obama set out new policy, only to signal it could be applied selectively. He decreed that interrogators must follow techniques outlined in the Army Field Manual when questioning terrorism suspects, even as he ordered a review that could allow CIA interrogators to use other methods for high-value targets. Also, while a new White House rule limits staffers' previous lobbying activities, exceptions were made for at least two senior administration officials."It's always a delicate task to maintain your coalition and try to expand it," said George Edwards, a Texas A&M University political science professor. "He's making the moves in the right direction to please his supporters on signature issues. At the same time, he has not elicited immediate outrage from Republicans because he's gone out of his way to reach out to them."Certainly, some Republicans are griping about Obama's economic stimulus plan and closing Guantanamo. But their protests are somewhat muted, perhaps because little of what Obama has done thus far is a surprise. He had prepared the country and Congress for such steps during the campaign and transition. He also has emphasized a pragmatic, bipartisan approach, and enjoys broad public support. Most of what he tackled came in areas where there is agreement across the political spectrum for a new direction, although the country is divided over shuttering Guantanamo.Obama long has emphasized solutions over partisanship, and he doesn't seem eager to address issues — at least for now — that create great ideological divides. That is a sharp contrast with Democrat Bill Clinton, who set the tone for an ideological presidency when he tried to overturn the ban on gays in the military. It pleased liberals, enraged conservatives and angered both the military and Congress, neither of which was consulted. So far, Obama's only real brush with issues that stoke partisan passions came when he revoked a ban on federal funding for international groups that provide or promote abortions. He did that quietly by issuing a memorandum late Friday afternoon. The move was expected; the issue has vacillated between Republican and Democratic presidents. Obama was sworn in Tuesday with huge support — 68 percent in a Gallup poll released Saturday — and incredible optimism from the public; Bush left Washington with record-low job approval ratings.A picture of poise, Obama didn't get rattled when Chief Justice John Roberts flubbed the oath of office, an exercise repeated a day later to ensure constitutionality. He breezed through his speech — which repudiated Bush's tenure though never personally attacked him — without a misstep. Even with the weight of the country's troubles now on his shoulders, he was relaxed as he twirled his wife, Michelle, at celebratory balls. "I don't sweat," Obama said on the eve of his inauguration — a comment meant literally, and, perhaps, figuratively.Maybe not. But he has yet to face a crisis head-on as the country's leader, and it's only then that his confidence truly will be tested. Still, Obama clearly has made the transition to governing. "It's as if Superman stepped out of a phone booth and became Clark Kent," said Fred Greenstein, a Princeton University professor emeritus of politics."He's beginning to put aside the rhetoric in favor of listing the policies and doing the checklist. He's not going out of his way to show a lot of flash. It's much more lets-get-down-to-work."That said, there's a limit to what he can immediately accomplish, Greenstein said, and "the really big things can't be done on Day One, particularly if they are going to be done well."In a mix of symbolism and substance, Obama used a host of executive tools to put his stamp on the country without having to go through Congress, making statements from the bully pulpit and signing White House directives. He pledged to take bold steps to reverse the recession while meeting with his economic team, and told top military officials to do whatever planning necessary to "execute a responsible military drawdown from Iraq." He issued new ethics rules for his administration and pledged to preside over a transparent government. He ordered the Guantanamo detention center shut within a year, required the closure of any remaining secret CIA "black site" prisons abroad and barred CIA interrogators form using harsh techniques already banned for military questioners. He also assigned veteran troubleshooters to the Middle East, and Pakistan and Afghanistan. Throughout it all, Obama demonstrated noticeable stylistic differences with his predecessor. The high-tech Obama chose to keep his cherished Blackberry, becoming the first sitting president to use e-mail. He made an impromptu visit to the White House's cramped media quarters just "to say hello." He also was spotted at one point ducking into the White House press office to consult with an aide. Bush avoided both areas at all costs. In one Oval Office ceremony, Obama went through each executive order as he signed them, reading parts of each and methodically explaining them. He even halted a few times to ask for clarification from his White House counsel. That sort of deferral to someone else in a public setting and admission of a less-than-perfect command of the facts was never Bush's style.
