Information at our disposal reveals that the handsome actor who is a Commissioner in Delta State, Richard Mofe Damijo a.k.a. RMD has just impregnated two women, a London lover and another undergrad of the Delta State University, Abraka.

Our source who regaled us of this new development in the life of Dr. Gov. Uduaghan’s aide, RMD informed us that one of the ladies he has just put in family way is one of the daughters of a top PDP political stalwart in Delta State.

While information is said to be going underneath to uncover the owner of the pregnancy by his highly disciplined father, RMD, we reliably gathered, has been begging the beautiful girl not to mention him to be responsible for it.

Aside these two women that are already carrying his babies, RMD, we learnt has also made it a point of duty to date, at least, one girl per day, though, most of the girls, having had a taste of his joystick all regret dating him because they say he’s stingy by nature..

Before now, RMD, who has been enmeshed in affair with a certain wife of former military governor of Lagos State, Buba Marwa and another actress who is now a widow and divorcee, Stella Damasus, was tagged a gigolo who leaves on rich women’s means.

Comfort Monday is seven months pregnant and she is an inmate at the Kirikiri Female Prison in Lagos State. Since January 2010, Ms Monday has been locked up for an offence she claims she did not commit, courtesy of the man she says is responsible for her pregnancy. She appears to be paying the price of coming from a poor background.

She recalls how, about 18 months ago, while living with her father and siblings in Port Harcourt, her father told her to accompany to Lagos, their landlord’s friend, one Wintua Nadu, who was in need of a female assistant.

In Lagos, Mr Nadu, whose residence doubles as his shop and is located on Owode Street in Abule Egba, a suburb of Lagos State, enrolled her in a secondary school nearby. But soon after she became his house-help, she said the man she regarded as an ‘uncle’ began sleeping with her, and subsequently stopped her education.

“I came from village and was doing house-girl for him. That is when he started sleeping with me. It has been long. At first I was going to school but after like a month, I stopped. I was in JSS 2 that time. If I am not doing housework, sometimes I will sell in the shop,” said Ms Monday.

The alleged sexual abuse did not stop and she later became pregnant. According to her, when she told him she had missed her period, Mr Nadu, who is about 50 years old, beat her thoroughly. In late January 2010, Ms Monday says, he travelled, after instructing her to sell some compressors worth about N95,000 in the shop, and give the money to his gateman; which she did but the said gateman allegedly disappeared with the money.

Journey to prison

When he returned and was told the gateman had made away with the money, he got police officers from the Oko Oba Police Station to arrest Ms Monday and a neighbour, identified as Kennedy, for theft. He further claimed that Ms Monday stole an additional N200,000 from his safe in the house and accused Kennedy of being responsible for Ms Monday’s pregnancy.

“If I stole that kind of money, why will I still remain in the house? He brought me from village. Where will I even go? Who do I know in Lagos? Nobody! One naira, I don’t have in my pocket. Kennedy is just a neighbour; he has nothing at all to do with this matter. I don’t know why he arrested him. Or is it because he has seen us talking before? I swear, he is innocent,” she said.

Both Ms Monday and Mr kennedy were arraigned at the Abule Egba Magistrate Court on January 26, 2010, where they both pleaded not guilty. But while Kennedy secured bail for himself, Ms Monday could not, and has been languishing in prison since then, even as her due date draws near. At present, she has no legal representation.

A question of age

A twist in Ms Monday’s situation is her age. She says she was 16 when Mr Nadu brought her to Lagos in 2009. If true, she would be 17 years old in 2010. By law, if less than 18, she is a minor and it would be illegal for her to be remanded in prison.

In a telephone conversation, Ms Monday’s father, Ezekiel Monday, who is a farmer in Elele Alimini, Rivers State, confirmed her age, while lamenting the plight of his daughter in the hands of the man he entrusted her to..

“It never reach two years my pikin follow my landlord friend. And that time na 16 years she be. Na because she no dey do anything for village, people talk make I let am follow am go Lagos, that she go school for there,” Mr Monday said.

“I no collect any money from the man. I just tell am make he take care of her. As I come hear say she steal money, I no believe because even for village here, nobody don ever report say she be thief. We know say the man na big man so we dey beg am please make him release my daughter.”

When NEXT contacted Mr Nadu, whose wife and children are said to live abroad, he requested a one-on-one interview. But when a telephone call was made to him one hour after he failed to show up at the agreed place, he threatened not to spare NEXT if this story is published.

“Have you verified your facts? Don’t go and publish anything that will cost your company a lot of money o! Otherwise, I will not spare anybody in this matter because this matter is a very bad matter,” Mr Nadu said.

On another occasion when NEXT called, he handed the phone to a man who did not disclose his full name but who identified himself as a lawyer. The said lawyer stated that he would not make any comments as “it will pre-empt the judgment of the court and influence the outcome of the case” being heard at the Kirikiri Magistrate Court, Apapa..

Ms Monday’s next court date is July 19, 2010 and, according to her, she is praying for a miracle, as she does not want to give birth to her child while in detention. She is desperate and alone. She came to Lagos dreaming of a better life. Now, all she wants is to return to her village, where she knows people and feels safe...

In Prison Should I be Happy, Should I be sad ? Are you waiting for Jamb results,on lecturers strike ? or looking for a Job or looking for a husband, wife or are you by any chance in Jail ? or in a state that can be defined as prison ? Then this article might be for you .

True freedom, for me anyway, takes practice. Actually, it takes a set of practices that serve as a guideline and map to freedom. Walk around rudderless without direction long enough and you’ll find you’re creating the same mess repeatedly.

Habitual patterns mistaken as freedom by most Christians
Monday wake up goto work come back ..Wednesday: midweek service.....Friday: TGIF Clubbing,Saturday: Sleep,Weddings,Clubbing..Sunday: Church, parties etc ,.Monday : Wake up again .

Excerpt from a liberated Prisoner

Then it hit me... I was actually free! Just like that! I realized that though the state had my body, only I could give anyone permission to enslave my mind. It may not sound like a lot to you, but for me it was transformative experience. The fact that I could choose to be free no matter where I found myself blew me away.

From that day on, I was free, really free, and all my interactions reflected this realization of freedom. What happened was that people began responding to me differently: guards, who previously were able to press my buttons, didn’t know how to deal with the newer, free me, leaving them confused and anxious.

Other inmates would ask me why I “looked” different: was I exercising more, did I gain weight?

Ultimately, I have learned that my freedom demands I choose happiness. I never even knew I had that choice. It is my responsibility as a human being, actually, this choice. This is why I always say that everything we ever need for our happiness exists right here, right now, this very moment… this very life. This is true whether your prison is made of concrete and bars or psychic cockroaches.

"It was during those long and lonely years th"at my hunger for the freedom of my own people became a hunger for the freedom of all people, white and black."Nelson Mandela

TEXT: Genesis 39:23 “The keeper of the prison looked not to anything that was under his hand;

because the LORD was with him (Joseph), and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.”

Our text finds Joseph still in the midst of a great trial of faith. He has been mistreated,

misrepresented, maliciously accused and imprisoned. In the midst of it all Joseph remained patient

and kept his testimony intact.

A glimpse at Joseph’s life reveals the trials he was forced to face...

• He was treated unfairly by his own brothers and sold into slavery.

• He became a slave in a foreign land.

• He was falsely accused of sexual assault and unjustly imprisoned.

HOWEVER – Joseph chose not to be a victim. He understood that “The Lord was with Joseph!” That

truth alone made his prison experience bearable.

As we rejoin Joseph in prison, we see his experience reveals some important lessons for God’s people

today. Chapter 40 finds Joseph shut up in prison, but still believing and serving the Lord. In that prison

he was forgotten by many, but he was never forgotten by the Lord.

The path of life leads us into similar prison situations. We all face hardships and trials. That is the

way of life!

John 16:33 “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye

shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

Romans 8:38-39 “I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor

powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall

be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

We may, at times, we feel we are forgoten. We may be forgotten by those around us, but we are

never forgotten by the Lord (Heb 13:5).
#1. JOSEPH’S PRISON DUTY (v 1-4). “And it came to pass after these things, that the butler of the

king of Egypt and his baker had offended their lord the king of Egypt. 2 And Pharaoh was wroth against

two of his officers, against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers. 3 And he put

them in ward in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was

bound. 4 And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he served them: and they

continued a season in ward.”

While Joseph waits in prison, he receives some new roommates – Pharaoh’s Butler and Baker.

• The Butler was Pharaoh’s Cupbearer. When anything to eat or drink was brought before

Pharaoh, the cupbearer would taste it first to make sure it was safe for Pharaoh. Cupbearers were

close to the rulers they served. They were so close that they had conversations and where some-times

were privy to royal secrets. They were highly trusted servants that literally held Pharaoh’s life in their

hands (Nehemiah 2:1ff).

• The Baker was Pharaoh’s Personal Chef. He was responsible for the food that Pharaoh ate as

well as those that dined at his table. He too would have been a trusted servant in Pharaoh’s

household.

• Apparently, there had been a problem with Pharaoh’s food and these men are in trouble.

They have been cast out of their positions and find themselves locked up in prison.

When these men get to prison, they receive privileged treatment. They were treated like celebrities;

they even have a

servant assigned to minister to their needs. Joseph is picked to be their servant.

• On the surface, this seemed to be just another assignment; but, in reality this was the

providence of a sovereign God at work in Joseph’s life. God had just brought Joseph face to face with

the man God would later use to secure Joseph’s release from prison.

We should never discount the seemingly small twists and turns of this life. God can and does use

small things in great ways.
• The same is true in your life and mine. What we see as a “chance” encounter may be the

meeting of a lifetime. What we see as an “accident” or as “coincidence” may be God at work in your

life.

• God guides through the tiny details of our life! There are no accidents with Him.

Psalm 37:23 “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.”

Proverbs 16:9 “A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.”

#2. JOSEPH’S PRISON DISCOVERY (v 5-19).

One morning Joseph checks on his charges and they are both sad. They tell him they have had

disturbing dreams and don’t know what they mean. When Joseph hears this he must have thought of

his own dreams (Gen 37:5-11). His dreams seemed as though they had been derailed, or at best

delayed. He encourages the Butler and Baker to tell him their dreams. Joseph knows the God Who can

give them the interpretation.

• The butler tells Joseph his dream and receives good news (v 9-13).

• When the baker hears the butler’s good news, he tells Joseph his dream. His interpretation is

not good, but Joseph humbly tells him the truth anyway (v 16-19).

Try putting yourself in Joseph’s place. He has been given a dream from the Lord. In his dream, he is

going to rule someday. His dream has yet to be fulfilled. In fact, from all appearances, Joseph’s

dreams have all been shattered.

What does Joseph do? Does he get angry and give up on the Lord? Does he say, “I’m finished with all

this dreaming! Just leave me alone!”

Even though He finds himself in an unpleasant situation, he doesn’t lose his hope in those dreams or

in the God who gave them to him (v 8).

What a lesson for us today! There are going to be times when it seems like God has forgotten all

about you. There will be times when it seems that your dreams have been derailed. What you do then

will have an impact on what the Lord will do for you later.

Our duty in the prisons of life is to seek ways to glorify God (1 Cor 10:31).

timers! Joseph, on the other hand is there to stay. Yet, he is not sad! In fact, he’s concerned about

others and reaches out to help the Bulter and Baker get through their prison experience.

What a lesson for us! Most people can see no further than our own need! All they can think about is

how bad they hurt. Most people are petty and self-centered. Did you know that attitude is not what

the Lord wants from His people?

He wants us to lose ourselves in the needs of others (Philippians 2:4).

“Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.”

He wants us to look around for someone that we can help (Galatians 6:1-2).

“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of

meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. 2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so

fulfil the law of Christ.

He wants us to be like Jesus, who willingly laid down His life so that others might live! That’s not

easy, but it’s Scriptural!

When you and I get our eyes off self and set our heart to the business of helping someone else, we

will find that our own load gets lighter! The Lord wants us to be a blessing, even when we are in the

prison of life!

That is the kind of prison demeanor we need to display when we walk through our own difficulties. May

God help us to learn that He is always God and always good, regardless of how we are treated by

others!

#4. JOSEPH’S PRISON DISAPPOINTMENT (Gen 40:20 – 41:1). “And it came to pass the third day, which

was Pharaoh’s birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the

chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants. 21 And he restored the chief butler unto his

butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand: 22 But he hanged the chief baker: as

Joseph had interpreted to them. 23 Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him. 41:1

And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the

river.”

The dreams of the butler and the baker were fulfilled just as Joseph said they would. The butler was

restored to his office and the baker was executed.

• Joseph had asked the butler to remember him when we was restored (40:14-15), But, that’s

not what happens. We are told, the man “forgot him” (40:23). Surely this must have broken Joseph’s

heart.

• Days turned into weeks; weeks into months and months into two long years, (Gen 41:1). All

the while Joseph is still in his prison, disappointed, but waiting on God to move in his time.

This Prison Disappointment taught Joseph two valuable lessons that we need to learn as well.

• Joseph learned not to put too much confidence in man. Our only reliable help comes from the

Lord. He may use humans as His instruments, but behind the provision is the hand of God.

Psalm 121:1-8 “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh

from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. 3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that

keepeth thee will not slumber. 4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The

LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. 6 The sun shall not smite thee by day,

nor the moon by night. 7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 8 The

LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”

• Joseph learned that God’s unseen hand moves along a divine path of providence. We need to

learn this truth: Our God is never early and never late! He always right on time!

There will be some disappointments in our prison experiences as well. The Lord may not move when

we think He ought and we will get discouraged. We will reach out for human help and find that it falls

short. This too will disappoint us.

• When times of disappointment come, we can become discouraged and look for a place to

pout, or we can do like Joseph and stay the course for the glory of God and serve Him faithfully.

• We should always remember that even though we may feel forgotten, we will never be

forsaken by the Lord. In His time, He will visit our prison and He will set us free!

CONCLUSION: What set Joseph apart from others? He knew the Lord was with him!
v 23 “The keeper of the prison looked not to anything that was under his hand; because the LORD was

with him (Joseph), and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.”

“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”

Our circumstances may be bad, but God is good! We need to look for ways to point others to Him even

though our own hearts are breaking! If He is the God of the mountain, He is also the God of the valley

(1 Thess 5:16-18).

“Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ

Jesus concerning you.”

#3. JOSEPH’S PRISON DEMEANOR (v 6-7). “And Joseph came in unto them in the morning, and looked

upon them, and, behold, they were sad. 7And he asked Pharaoh’s officers that were with him in the

ward of his lord’s house, saying, Wherefore look ye so sadly to day?”

As Joseph went about his duties, he saw that these two men were sad. I can understand their

sadness. They have been removed from prestigious position and cast into prison. But, they’re short

The world is marking the first Nelson Mandela International Day to commemorate the birthday of South Africa's first black president, who turns 92 on Sunday.

The United Nations had last year agreed to commemorate Mandela's birthday every year to recognise the Nobel Peace Prize laureate's contribution to resolving conflicts and promoting race relations, human rights and reconciliation.

Ninety-two children aged from six to 12 from southern South Africa were flown courtesy of the national carrier to visit the ailing icon at his Johannesburg home on the eve of his birthday. They sang him a birthday song.

In a statement, Mandela's office quotes him as saying, "I like being with young children".

Revered figure

Mandela was jailed for 27 years by the country's white minority government for resisting apartheid rule.

On his release in 1990, he led negotiations with apartheid rulers, a process that culminated in his election as the country's first black president in 1994.

He stepped down as president in 1999, after serving one term in office and is still revered around the world for promoting peace and fighting against racism and HIV/Aids..

South Africa celebrated the 20th anniversary of Mandela's release from prison on February 11, a day credited with shaping the history of the country.

Jacob Zuma, the president of South Africa, is expected to address thousands of villagers at Mandela's birthplace Mvezo on Sunday.

"Mandela's 67 years of uninterrupted and selfless service to the people of South Africa and the world culminated in the birth of a new South Africa, united in diversity," Zuma said in a statement.

People around the globe have been urged to devote 67 minutes on Sunday to public service, to honour Mandela's 67 years of service.

Seven killed in fresh attack in Jos

Seven people were killed on Saturday morning when unknown persons attacked Maza, a village in Jos North Local Government of Plateau State. The attack on the sleepy and mountainous village, also left 10 others injured, while some houses were burnt. "We are just coming out of the village; it is a difficult terrain really. There isn't much to say. This incident is just sad,'' Kingsley Umoh, Spokesman for the Military Special Task Force (STF) charged with maintaining peace in Jos, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). Mr. Umoh's figure, however, differs with that of the State Government, who announced that 10 people were killed while another 10 sustained serious injuries. Some reports said the dead included the family of a Christian priest. Witnesses said the men attacked the family of Nuhu Dawat in the village of Mazah, 12km (7 miles) from the state capital of Jos, killing his wife, two children and a grandson. The priest ran for his life, later telling Reuters: "I leave everything to God to judge." Plateau State Police Commissioner Gregory Anyating told Reuters the authorities were trying to find out "the root causes of the violence", but it had not spread to other villages. "The attack is nothing unusual; it is just another attempt to destroy the peace Plateau people have been enjoying in the past months,'' Mr. Gregory said. He said that those injured were being treated at the Plateau Specialist Hospital. "It is an embarrassing situation. Just when we thought we had found peace, we suddenly have to cope with another ugly situation," he said... The Commissioner, who appealed to the people to remain calm, and not to take the law into their hands, called for more vigilance from the STF to prevent a recurrence.

After the U.S. Government took action against several sites connected to movie streaming recently, nerves arejangling over the possibility that this is just the beginning of a widercrackdown. Now it appears that a free blogging platform has been takendown by its hosting provider on orders from the U.S. authorities ongrounds of “a history of abuse”. More than 73,000 blogs are out ofaction as a result..

Hot on the heels of recent threats from Vice President Joe Biden and Intellectual Property Enforcement CoordinatorVictoria Espinel directed at sites offering unauthorized movies andmusic, last month U.S. authorities targeted several sites they claimedwere connected to the streaming of infringing video material.

Operation In Our Sites‘ targeted several sites including TVShack.net,Movies-Links.TV, FilesPump.com, Now-Movies.com, PlanetMoviez.com,ThePirateCity.org, ZML.com, NinjaVideo.net and NinjaThis.net. In almostunprecedented action, the domain names of 7 sites were seized andindications are that others – The Pirate Bay and MegaUpload – narrowlyavoided the samefate.

Fears remain, however, that this action is only the beginning, and that more sites will be targeted as the months roll on. Indeed,TorrentFreak has already received information that other sites, so farunnamed in the media, are being monitored by the authorities oncopyright grounds.

Now, according to the owner of a free WordPress platform which hosts more than 73,000blogs, his network of sites has been completely shut down on theorders of the authorities.

DANCER Ife Kuku last night became the fifth person to be kicked out of the Big Brother house.

The 25-year-old dancer was the bookies' hot tip to be booted off the reality TV show as she faced the public vote against Mario and Jordan lookalike Corin.

Leaving the house in a short grey dress, Ife was met with a mixture of boos and cheers from the noisy crowd.

She left after gaining 56.5% in the public vote.

Before leaving, the former Cheryl Cole backing dancer reassured other housemates: "I feel alright."

The skin-headed groover from Milton Keynes gained a reputation as a cry baby and fell out with several housemates including Caoimhe and Shabby.

But she put on a brave face and laughed while speaking with host Davina McCall.

When asked about her long list of spats, she said: "I have always been honest. There was no point making up with people after what I had said about them in the Diary room."

Ife Kuku Biography

The earliest vivid memory I have from my childhood, was sitting in my room watching Pop School the Musical. I remember rushing home to watch Sister Sister and Moesha, as I grew my musical taste changed. I started listening to Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and India Arie.

One of the first tapes I brought was the Spice Girls. When I was fourteen a Lauryn Hill album found its way into my collection I have been a fan ever since. I grew up in Milton Keynes, and was part of a very large family “not the conventional kind “ Performing has always been a huge part of my life. School plays, to debating society, choirs, dance shows any chance to stand in front of an audience..

The thrill of being in the moment was scary but a wonderful feeling that would go away once I was off stage. My parents built a conservatory at the back of the house that I used it as my studio to practice and practice I would make up songs and routines and ask friends and family to come in and watch. I was never the strongest singer or dancer however I knew it was something that I wanted to do forever and that the only way to make that possible would be to practice and get better each day.

I moved to London when I was sixteen and trained at a performing arts school, it was so much fun I felt really grown up so many other people to work with who all shared the same love for singing and dancing. When I graduated I threw myself out there and began auditioning for shows, video adverts, Dance Company’s anything and everything. I had a job in a theatre, bar, café and telemarketer, I applied for anything that was flexible and that would fit around my auditions.

Seven years passed and I accomplished so much more than I could of expected and got to travel the world. In 2008 I made the decision to move in a different direction and focus on singing and writing my own songs, and I hope to continue and push forward and someday perform my songs in front of a large audience.

Michael Jackson Secret Son?

Insiders claim Donte Williams Jackson, who lives with the late ‘Thriller’ star’s 80-year-old mother Katherine Jackson, is the result of a fling between the legendary King of Pop and an unknown woman..

The 18 year old has spent most of his life being looked after by Alejandra Oaziaza, who has four children with Michael’s brothers Randy and Jermaine.

It was initially believed Donte was the son of Randy and Alejandra, but he was born just eight months after their son Randy Jr. A source told The Sun newspaper: “Michael was very close to Donte. We’re not even sure if Donte knows who his parents are.

Today's warp-speed doctors' office visits rarely address all of your Q's, which is why it's more critical than ever to be in tune with your body—it can help yield some important insight.

Here's what to look for:

Photo: Guess ?

Mouth

White tongue coating

Could mean: You have a yeast infection—the oral type, that is. Your mouth maintains a fine yeast-bacteria balance, but when foreign stuff (think: antibiotics) throws that out of whack, the yeast portion grows unchecked and coats your tongue. A prescription antifungal rinse should clear things up. If it doesn't, revisit your doc.

Inflamed gums

Could mean: You're knocked up. "Your dentist is often the first to know,. "Swollen gums are one of the early side effects of the hormonal changes that come with pregnancy." If your gums are puffy or bleed when you floss—and your period is late—it may be time to take a pregnancy test.

Your guide to a perfect smile.

Cracked mouth corners

Could mean: You're vitamin deficient, says a dermatologist . ("Otherwise," , "you're a big lip licker. Stop that!") A lack of B vitamins— specifically, B2, B6, and folic acid—can dry out the sensitive skin on the outer corners of your mouth, causing unseemly cracks on your kisser. Adding nutrient-rich eats such as leafy greens and watermelon to your regular diet should smooth out any rough patches.

Eyes

Sparse outer eyebrows

Could mean: Your thyroid isn't pumping out enough hormones, More than 27 millionpeople have thyroid disorders, and eight out of 10 of those are women. The right prescription meds should get your hormones—and brows—back on track.

Dark under-eye circles

Could mean: You have allergies. Nasal congestion from allergies can dilate and darken the veins around your eyes and nose. Once you pinpoint and treat your allergen culprits—often with OTC meds—your under-eye shadows should fade.

Hair

Thinning hair

Could mean: You have a thyroid issue. If you've been noticing more breakage when you blow-dry, head to your Doctor. for a thyroid test. Brittle hair can also be a sign of malnourishment—specifically, deficiencies in omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin A. So for the love of your hair (and your health), steer clear of any lownutrient crash diets.

Skin

Brown splotches

Could mean: You've had a self-tanner mishap... or you have a benign condition called melasma that's often associated with oral contraceptives. Doctors aren't sure why some birth-control pills cause these dark patches on the forehead, cheeks, or upper lip, but they do know UV exposure makes them worse. Your M. D. might recommend a hydroquinone cream.

Small yellow bumps

Could mean: You're looking at fat deposits caused by high cholesterol. The yellowish bulges can appear anywhere (yes, on thin people too) but are most common on the knees, elbows, hands, and feet. Make an appointment with your doc for a simple blood cholesterol test.

A rash on your rump

Could mean: Celiac disease, which is triggered by eating gluten, can manifest itself as an itchy red rash or blisters on your derriere. Ten to 15 percent of people with gluten intolerance get this inflammation, which can also appear on your elbows and knees, says a cosmetic dermatologist . Fortunately, once you cut pasta, wheat bread, and other gluten sources from your diet, you'll kick the butt blisters too.

Build a better backside with this leg and booty-busting workout.

Nails

Brittle nails

Could mean: Your frail nails might indicate nutritional deficiencies like low calcium, vitamin D, or zinc, says a dermatologist . Sporting nude nails more often and maintaining a balanced diet may help. Or you can try soaking your nails in water for five minutes at night before moisturizing them with an alpha hydroxy cream

Facebook’s co-founders Mark Zuckerberg and Dustin Moscovitz have both expressed some measure of disapproval where the highly anticipated film The Social Network is concerned..

Moscovitz published a frank assessment of the upcoming movie tonight on a Q&A site, saying the trailers seemed “a lot more exciting” than the actual goings-on during Facebook’s earlier days.

(Interesting side note: The Q&A site linked above is Quora, a startup made by several former Facebook employees. It’s a small world after all — especially in Silicon Valley.)

Zuckerberg, currently Facebook’s CEO, had some negative comments about the film when he took the stage at the D conference last month, saying he wished the movie had not been made. Moscovitz wasn’t completely down on the movie; however, his mostly sarcastic comments did belabor the point that the film is anything but historically accurate — at least from his perspective.

“It is interesting to see my past rewritten in a way that emphasizes things that didn’t matter,” he wrote — “things that didn’t matter” referring to a breach of contract/IP theft lawsuit brought by fellow Harvard students Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss in 2004.

Calling the movie a “dramatization of history,” Moscovitz continued to write, “A lot of exciting things happened in 2004, but mostly we just worked a lot and stressed out about things; the version in the trailer seems a lot more exciting, so I’m just going to choose to remember that we drank ourselves silly and had a lot of sex with coeds.”

When it comes to the film’s portrayal of Zuckerberg, Moscovitz is at once cautiously pessimistic and fawning.

“The plot of the book/script unabashedly attack him, but I actually felt like a lot of his positive qualities come out truthfully in the trailer (soundtrack aside). At the end of the day, they cannot help but portray him as the driven, forward-thinking genius that he is.”

Moscovitz currently heads up Asana, a Silicon Valley startup who counts a few Facebook and Google heavy-hitters among its staff. When not drinking and carousing with coeds, they build project management software.

What do you think of the trailers so far? How would you feel if someone made a movie about you and your company? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

poor soldiers i mean lastma guys.

Four soldiers and two naval officers have beaten three officers of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA into unconsciousness at Mile 2 area of Lagos State, Nigeria.

The LASTMA officers-Gbenga Ajayi-Bembe, Akeem Bisiriyu and Abiodun Kayode were battered by the military men while trying to tow a broken down trailer obstructing traffic at Mile 2.

They were immediately rushed to the Gbagada General Hospital for treatment where they were revived after remaining in a state of unconsciousness for sometime.

P.M. NEWS
gathered that trouble started when the Head, Zone 5, LASTMA had asked Kayode, the LASTMA towing vehicle driver to go and tow a trailer, which broke down at Mile 2 ‘Oke.’

The owner of the trailer was said to have called in the soldiers and naval officers who came and gave Kayode the beating of his life.

The soldiers successfully removed the trailer that had already been carried by the towing van and drove off while Kayode contacted his boss to come to his rescue, and then chased after the fleeing trailer being driven by the soldiers.

Getting to First Gate, Mile 2, Kayode used his towing vehicle to block the trailer while the soldiers came down and descended on him and beat him mercilessly until he collapsed into a state of unconsciousness, while two other officers came to rescue him.

The other two officers-Ajayi-Bembe and Bisiriyu who came to rescue their colleagues were also thoroughly beaten until they also became unconscious while the soldiers and the naval officers took the trailer away.

Speaking with P.M. NEWS, Kayode narrated the story, saying that “my boss told me to go and tow a trailer which broke down at Mile 2 Oke. I had already jacked the trailer into the towing van when the owner went to call two soldiers and they beat me up and removed the trailer from the van...

“I called my boss to come to my rescue and I pursued the trailer to first gate and blocked it. More soldiers and naval officers came and they beat me until I fainted.

“They beat my two other colleagues into unconsciousness and they smashed the windscreen of the towing van. I was soaked in blood before I passed out. The area boys in the area also started throwing stones at us.”

The three LASTMA officers also sustained severe injuries.

As at the time of filing this report, Bisiriyu was still seriously in bad condition in the hospital as he could not talk.

At the posh Murtala Muhammed Airport 2, in Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria, where the mighty and the influential meet daily, many Nigerians still find it difficult to use the escalators at the airport. Even the elite are victims.
Yesterday, a woman in one of her best attire spent a couple of minutes at the threshold of one of the escalators trying to figure out how the technology works. And when she finally attempted to use it, she slipped and fell.
She used the staircase instead after recovering from the fall, to get to the departure lounge where she was to board a plane.
The four escalators at MMA2 take passengers from the check-in section to the boarding and departure areas of the airport. They also convey air travellers from the departure hall to the check-in lounge of MMA2.
Daily, passengers fall while trying to use the escalators. Some prefer to use the staircase. “It’s good to do some exercise,” some passengers told P.M.NEWS when asked why they prefer to use the staircase when the escalator will just take them upstairs with ease.
Some passengers resort to holding hands to ease their fright and stabilise themselves. A few days ago, a couple was seen holding hands firmly to avoid a fall. They were relieved when they got to the end of the escalator, their faces beaming with broad smiles.
Our correspondent observed that passengers find it difficult to use the escalator, especially at the threshold and exit..
This also applies to the three lifts available to passengers at MMA2 where some passengers have been stranded not due to power failure or mechanical fault, but because they did not know what button to press to make it work.
About three weeks ago, a passenger with Aero Contractor, who thought a stranger had travelled with her luggage, was scolded by the police at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Two (MMA2) after she screamed right in the MMA2’s terminal building. She was warned not to ever scream at the airport, a public place which attracts mainly the elite.
A manager of Bi-Courtney Aviation services, operators and owners of MMA2, who scurried to the checking area of the building after the high-pitched shout of the woman, told the passenger that next time she will be detained and interrogated by the police if such an incident ever occurs at the airport.
The woman, it was later learnt, was travelling by air for the first time. She had met a stranger and kept her luggage with her to make some calls. But, when she returned, the stranger, a passenger with the same airline, had joined the long queue at the check-in section of the building. Unable to locate the other passenger, the first-time air traveller started wailing, drawing the attention of everybody.
“I didn’t know I cannot scream at the airport,” said the woman who was scolded by the police after she recovered her luggage.
“There is need for more enlightenment,” she said.

A Federal High Court sitting in Jos, Plateau State has ruled that the tenure of Segun Oni, the Ekiti State governor, ends in 2011, in the controversy over whether a fresh four year tenure started when he won the April 2009 re-run elections in the state.

The judgment in the suit filed by Adunmo Rufus and three others against the Attorney General of the Federation, delivered on Friday by Ambrose Alagoa.

Mr. Alagoa said the re-run election was not a fresh election but a supplementary one which held in some parts of the state, where no elections were held. He also said the oath Mr. Oni took in 2007 is the one recognised by the Constitution while the second oath he took in 2009 was only complimentary.

An Appeal Court’s ruling in Ilorin had on 17 February, 2009 nullified the election of Mr. Oni, and ordered a fresh poll in 63 wards of 10 local governments, out of the 16 local governments in the state, while the results of the remaining six were still considered for the new result...

No precedence

However, Wale Ojo-Lanre, the chief press secretary to Mr. Oni, said in a press statement that the judgment that cannot stand the test of judicial precedence.

“Section 180 (subsection 2a) of the 1999 Constitution is clear on when the tenure of office of governors and presidents ends and this has been settled by the Supreme Court,” Mr. Ojo-Lanre said.

He described the judgment as curious, strange and a pyrrhic victory for those who are desirous of getting power through the backdoor, noting that constitutional matters like the one on tenure of elected public officers can only be settled by the Supreme Court and added that his principal will appeal the judgment.

But in support of the judgement, Rotimi Akeredolu, the Nigeria Bar Association president, described the ruling as a vindication of his position and that of the Bar.

“That is the position of the law,” Mr. Akeredolu said. “The Bar said so, I have said so everywhere. He is fooling himself. I told him openly, I told the deputy governor when we met, and for them to think that the term will start running they are fooling themselves.

“The Constitution is very clear; from the day you are sworn in and he was sworn in 2007. So the election in 10 local governments and in local government like Ido-Osi and the likes will not give him a new tenure,” Mr. Akeredolu said.

Wande Coal in nude picture scandal

On Thursday, Mo Hits star, Wande Coal, real name, Ojosipe Wande, became the hottest trending topic on social networking site, Twitter, when pictures alleged to be his nude shots, surfaced on the Internet.

Though this has attracted various comments from fans and the public alike, some of his colleagues have risen to his defence.

Mo Hits producer, Don Jazzy, tweeted “Kaiiiiiiii my boy is trending sha. Oya make somebody photoshop my own too o. Maybe I go trend too. Lol.”

Dele Momodu, Ovation publisher and 2011 presidential aspirant, also tweeted “@delemomodu2011: As the enemies tried to pull down great son of Nigeria @wande coal today. I urge all my good friends to pls tweet something great about Wande.”

Similarly, a few months back, a picture alleged to be that of fellow Mo Hit artiste DBanj and Wande Coal smoking marijuana in a bus surfaced on the Internet..

However, in a reaction to the issue, Mo Hits publicists, Big Sam Media, have risen in defence of Wande Coal. In a statement titled, Somebody is After Wande Coal, the artiste’s publicists say, “It has come to our notice that a purported nude picture of Wande Coal is being circulated on social networking site, Twitter, and that made him a trending topic yesterday and early hours of today.

“Wande is very grateful to those who have shown him love and as well to those who were constructive in their criticisms. He is saying a massive thank you.

Nothing to be ashamed of

“We also want to state categorically that there is nothing wrong or to be ashamed (of) about being naked but the pictures in question are not those of Wande Coal, the multiple Hip Hop World Award winner. That is not him and that can never be him.”

Big Sam media claimed that Wande Coal has been a target of “orchestrated attacks in past months”, citing a report that claimed that the artiste was being treated in psychiatric home.

“We have reason to believe that the person behind these nude pictures is the same person behind earlier negative and false stories. Therefore, we are no longer taking the matter lightly. Appropriate security agencies have been briefed and investigations are on-going so as to ascertain (the) true identity of the culprit and bring him or her to book.

Wande Coal started out as a soundtrack artiste for Mainframe Production. He was also a onetime dancer for Angelica, Boulevard, and Asa. He, however, got his big break after a chance meeting with the Mo Hits Family after a performance at the University of Lagos in 2006. He was signed on by Mo Hits records almost immediately, and released his debut album, Mushin to Mo' Hits.

500 more expected in days || The campaign machinery of former military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida is set to take the nation by storm.

A few days ago, the IBB Presidential Campaign Organisation took delivery of 500 vehicles consisting of 250 Prado jeeps and 250 Toyota Camry saloon cars, Leadership Sunday has learnt. The cars are now parked at a location in Abuja, said a source close to the campaign group. Leadership Sunday was also told that the last batch of 500 vehicles (250 Prado jeeps and 250 Camry cars) will be added to the lot, making a total of 1, 000 vehicles.
General Babangida, who was the country's leader between 1985 and 1993, has indicated his desire to contest the presidential election on the platform of the PDP. He has also been a vociferous advocate of the PDP zoning policy: the party had zoned the presidency to the North after Olusegun Obasanjo's eight years. Obasanjo was succeeded by Umaru Musa Yar'Adua who died on May 5, this year, and Dr Goodluck Jonathan took over according to the dictates of the Nigerian constitution. Some members of the PDP, including General Babangida, insist that the PDP should maintain the zoning arrangement for the 2011 elections..

President Jonathan's supporters, including the recently selected national chairman of the ruling party, Dr Okwesilieze Nwodo, have maintained that the zoning arrangement is not sacrosanct, especially after the force majeure (Yar'Adua's death) that changed the bargain. Other likely aspirants within the PDP include General Aliyu Gusau (rtd), the current national security adviser; former Vice-president Atiku Abubakar; Dr Bukola Saraki, governor of Kwara State; and Alhaji Danjuma Goje, governor of Gombe State.

The PDP governors obviously hold the key to the party's ticket. But it is doubtful if all of them will support the same candidate during the primaries. Another source close to the IBB presidential Campaign told Leadership Sunday that, if it becomes clear that General Babangida will not get the PDP ticket, he and his supporters will move en masse into another party, probably the ANPP.

Umuahia – AS the 24 hour ultimatum issued by the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Ogbonna Onovo to the hoodlums who kidnapped four journalists last Sunday in Obingwa area of Abia state, expired without the abducted journalists being freed, Governor Theodore Orji has hired Israeli security experts who are assisting the police to track down the kidnappers and rescue their victims.

Wahab Oba , 2nd right with Lagos CP, Marvel Akpoyibo and others, at an event, recently in Lagos.

The Israelis were seen with Onovo when they visited Umuahia and Aba, Tuesday, in preparation for the operation to rescue the kidnapped journalists. Onovo met and consulted with Governor Orji, Aba business community and the over 800 traditional rulers in the state, including those from Obingwa council, seen as haven for crimes, especially kidnapping.

The police said they would embark on house to house, community to community search for criminals and weapons in Ngwa land and other communities in the state.

Meanwhile, the leadership of NUJ has been communicating with the abductors who insisted on N250 million ransom for the release of the journalists.

Onovo who addressed the royal fathers Tuesday evening, after addressing Aba business community, lamented the bad image the menace of kidnapping has brought to Ndigbo. Even his job, he lamented, may as well be threatened because this atrocity is being committed by youths from his geo-political zone.

Though he admitted that some of his men are involved in the evil crime of kidnapping , he assured that they were being taking care of. He wondered why Ndigbo would only be leaders in evil acts that fetch money, saying that it is against the hard working spirit which Ndigbo are known for.

“On our part, we have a problem because some of our men have hands in them (crimes). We have to put our house in order too. We are already taking care of them. A lot of our men are in Abia not to work any more but to trade, make money”, Onovo lamented...

Onovo who spoke in Igbo language, called on the royal fathers to be of assistance on the planned operation to flush out kidnappers in the state, particularly in Ngwa land. He also said he came to Abia specifically because of the “embarrassment” the kidnappers are causing the Federal Government.

Onovo further said that South East leaders, especially himself and the Governors have become objects of mockery by their colleagues from other zones, who always embarrassed them each time they met, asking them mockingly, about kidnapping and at times making caricature of them by calling them kidnappers. Onovo particularly lamented his own experience where he said that he is now regarded as “a doctor that could not cure himself ” because this evil in being committed in his area.

“I came from Abuja because of what is happening in our land. It is embarrassing. I don’t know when Ndigbo joined in leading bad life. Our youths are now committing all manner of evils just to make money. Ndigbo are killing Ndigbo in Igboland. They kidnap anybody at sight-old, young even royal fathers. It is a big problem. Are Ndigbo the only people who are facing hardship? Why are our youths in the forefront of these evils?

“When drug was in vogue, it was Igbos. In 419, it was our people. Robbery, our people also lead. Must we be first only in evil things? Our royal fathers, please you have to find solution to this, even if it means calling on our forefathers to intervene like what happened in Benin where the Oba said enough was enough. Ndigbo are noted for their hard work, not crime. But the quest and love for money have changed this virtue for bad. We recognize their wealth without minding how it came. We need you to give us information about these people.”
