A 43-year old policeman, Corporal Lanre Ramoni, attached to Agbara Divisional Police Headquarters in Ogun State, is currently being detained for having sex with his daughter for four years. He also aborted her pregnancy four times.

His daughter (name withheld), 19, is an SSS 3, student and the only child.

P.M.NEWS investigation revealed that Corporal Ramoni, has been having sex with his daughter since she was 15 years old.

He even compelled her not to tell anyone about the illicit affair.

The cat was let out of the bag on Monday when the girl got to the school with bruises all over her body and when a classmate of hers asked her what happened, she opened up on what transpired between her and her father.

P.M.NEWS further learnt that her classmate (Joke) on hearing this, ran to one of the teachers who later told the principal of the school about it.

Her father was invited to the school. On arrival, the girl confronted him right in the presence of the principal and the teachers. She accused her father of having sex with her several times and also showed all the love messages he sent to her phone..

Two of the messages which were shown to P.M.NEWS read: “I love you so much, you are good in bed than your mother,” and “Hope you haven’t told anybody that I am having sex with you?”

The police authorities later waded into the matter by arresting the Corporal who is now in detention.

Narrating her ordeal to P.M.NEWS, she said: “please, brother, do not put my name in your paper, my dad Corporal Lanre Ramoni, attached to Criminal Investigation Bureau, CIB, Agbara police station has been having sex with me since when I was 15 years old and he made me swear to an oath. He told me if I revealed my relationship with him I would die.

“And I kept it to my chest until now that I am 19 years old. My dad sent my mother packing for no reason. Each time he wanted to make love to me, I always tell him ‘Dad, but you are my father you slept with my mother now it is my turn.’ I would cry but he always threatened to kill me. I aborted my pregnancy four times for him.

“Some times he would beat me when I refused but last Sunday, 3October, he wanted to sleep with me and when I didn’t allow him, he beat me silly and that is why I have all these bruises all over my body.

“When I go to school on Monday, my friend asked what caused the bruises and while I was crying, I told her that I won’t talk because I would die. When she persisted I told her how my dad beat me because I refused to let him have intimacy that night with me. Immediately I told my friend what happened, she ran and reported to the school authorities who sent for my Dad. And in the presence of everybody, I confessed and showed them the love messages my dad sent into my phone. And Dad said yes it was true.”

Ramoni admitted the allegation in his confessional statement to the police at Agbara where he is being interrogated.

4 Tips For Unconditional Love

Unconditional love becomes possible when you practice cultivating these four states of mind:

1. Friendliness or loving kindness is the heartfelt wish for the well-being of oneself and others.

2. Compassion is a virtue —one in which the emotional capacities of empathy and sympathy (for the suffering of others) are regarded as a part of love itself, and a cornerstone of greater social interconnectedness and humanism

Ranked a great virtue in numerous philosophies, compassion is considered in all the major religious traditions as among the greatest of virtues.

3. Joy is an essential spiritual practice growing out of faith, grace, gratitude, hope, and love. It is the pure and simple delight in being alive. Joy is our elated response to feelings of happiness, experiences of pleasure, and awareness of abundance. It is also the deep satisfaction we know when we are able to serve others and be glad for their good fortune.

4. Equanimity – is one of the divine states. It is also considered as one of the steps to enlightenment. In this state, there is no fear. The “I” is vanquished, all actions arises from the state of equanimity, fully aware and fully present, and thus completely keeping with the situation

These four tips are the qualities of true, authentic, and unconditional love. Both Patanjali, the Indian sage who compiled the Yoga Sutra in the second century BCE, and the Buddha taught the importance of cultivating these four states of mind...

Much has been written about the promise of HTML 5, the next generation of the web’s lingua franca, but so far, despite the potential, there are very few real world websites using the proposed standard. Apple’s recently released Safari 4 beta, however, supports much of the HTML 5 spec, and the demo page for Safari 4 makes heavy use of HTML 5, offering a glimpse of what the web might soon look like. The Safari 4 intro page (link requires Safari 4 beta) uses both the new audio and video tags to embed media and also makes heavy use of CSS 3 for layout, styling and animation. The result is a considerably leaner page than you would see were it written in HTML 4 — gone are the lengthy embed and object tags for video content, and sophisticated animations happen without Flash, JavaScript or other auxiliary tools. And that means the page loads faster and gobbles up less memory in the browser.Unfortunately the Safari 4 intro page also highlights the biggest problem with HTML 5 — so far browser support for HTML 5 tools is limited, and the page only works properly in the Safari 4 beta.HTML 5 represents the biggest leap forward in web standards since the current (4.01) specification, which was completed in September 1999. That’s a good thing, but it also means browsers have quite a bit of work to do before HTML 5 starts appealing to web developers.Opera and Safari have been pioneering HTML 5 support for some time, but Firefox and Google Chrome aren’t quite as far along with their HTML 5 support (although the coming Firefox 3.5 will close the gap considerably). Internet Explorer 8 is somewhat further behind, though it too incorporates a few HTML 5 features.Still, given HTML 5’s lofty ambitions — to bring the web to maturity as a full-fledged application platform, a level playing field where video, sound, images and animations are all standardized — it might be quite a bit longer before we see sites start to adopt the new features. So while the future may not be here just yet, HTML 5 will go along way to simplifying to task of creating sophisticated web pages. In the mean time, novelty pages like Apple’s Safari 4 intro offer a tantalizing glimpse of what the future of the web will look like.Read More http://www.wired.com/epicenter/2009/03/apple-shows-off/#ixzz0eGq46tSv

-Military investigates A Ukrainian plane loaded with weapons was, on Tuesday night, impounded by Air Force intelligence at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano. advertisement Four people; two pilots and two other foreign nationals, who were on board, were arrested, while some Nigerians who attempted to clear the weapons were also arrested. A competent airport source, who confirmed the arrests, told journalists that the Air Force men, who impounded the plane, were on duty at the airport. The plane, painted red and marked UR-CAK, according to sources, was impounded on the arrival terminal at the airport, based on intelligence report. The impounded plane was seen parked at the airport, when the Nigerian Tribune visited the place, with security operatives mounting surveillance while sources said that investigations were on to know the mission and why such weapons were brought into Nigeria. Nigerian Tribune also gathered that security chiefs at the airport were meeting to ensure that the pilot gave details of their mission in Nigeria. Sources at the airport revealed that the plane was going to Malabo, Equitorial Guinea and that it only stopped in Kano to refuel. Those who spoke on the appearance of the plane and its crew gave kudos to the officers at the airport, adding that the flying in of the weapons was a big security threat to Nigeria. The airport workers, while commenting on the development, said that the apprehension of the Ukrainian cargo plane was a job well done by the Nigerian security men. All efforts to speak with the airport commandant of the Nigerian Air Force were unsuccessful. A top officer said he could not speak on the issue at that moment. “You pressmen have to wait till tomorrow or preferably when the investigation might have been completed,” he said. I CAME I SAW

David and I were best friends. He was the only person who could put a smile on my face, no matter how upset I was. All the girls I knew had a crush on him and it was me he would always go looking for. It was a good feeling. I always used to think of him as, like a brother figure 'cause I loved him so much and would do anything 4 him. I couldn't imagine ever being with him though, it just wasn't an option. After a while, that began to change. I started feeling things I wish I never did. I tried to hide it... I tried to act like his "lil sista'" but it didn't work for long and it started to show. It turned out he was interested in me too, so we hooked up a few times. I knew he had 2 kids, but I thought he was broken up with the mother. It turned out that he wasn't and she found out and started causing so much trouble for me. I didn't know what to do- I was in love with him and now I was being told he was out of bounds. So I tried to stay away and it worked for awhile and then they really did break up so I was the first person there. That was a mistake. We started seeing each otha' and I have neva' been happier than the way I was at that time.I should of known that it was too good to be true because about 2 months into seeing him he started getting really funny with me. I didn't understand. One minute he says all things sweet and the next he is telling me he doesn't want anything to do with me. It tore me apart and then I found out why. He had gotten back with her, all without me knowing. I didn't know if she knew about me and was bein' spiteful or whether he was playing the both of us, but I can honestly say that the tears I have cried for him will never amount to anything.I realize he loves her but he always told me he was only with her for the kids, that she would take them away from him and, stupid me believed him. I was blinded by the love I had for him, the love I still do have for him. He was perfect in my eyes and only now are my so-called friends telling me that I wasn't the only person he was running around with at the time... that, in fact he was seeing quite a few girls, some I thought of as friends. There were so many poems on LovePoetry.com that helped me out, but Falling in Love With a Player by Lindsey Nicole Milke was probably one of the more accurate ones. I realize I did the wrong thing, knowing there was still a connection with his "ex," but I believed him when he said it was over. I was so dumb and I regret hurting her and bringing all this pain upon myself too.I stayed home for a while because every time I went out, I saw him and I knew I would get weak and let him control me again. Then, one night I wanted to go out so I went somewhere I NEVER thought he would be and he was there. He had me... hook, line and sinker and I went home with him. Then the cycle started again. I decided to move to the city 'cause then I was opening my choices up AND getting away from him. A week before I left, I went out to say goodbye to everyone and I saw him. I told him I was moving and he got really upset and said to me, "Just remember that I will always love you, no matter what anybody says." I could have died. I felt like bawling my eyes out but I stayed strong and before he could try 'n' be wit' me, I went home. I felt proud.I haven't seen him since, but there isn't a minute in any day that I don't think about him and wonder what he's doing. My friend called me up last night and told me he is broken up wit' his babies' mama and she took his clothes to his mothers house 'n' told him she is with someone else. That would be hurting him and I wish I could be there for him but the fact is, she will always be there in his life so I just can't do it to myself anymore. I love him more than anything and I guess I always will, but I need to move on.If u know there is someone else in the picture somewhere, then make sure it is over before pursuing anything more. Don't ever just be like, "Well, he said they aren't together, so they musn't be." That may be one of the biggest mistakes u will ever make.SuicideDivorceLove TriangleLove And DeathForgivenessUnwelcome LoveLove And FamilyBreaking UpLove At A DistanceAdvertising | Privacy Statement | Investment Opportunities

An elderly ijebu woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole, which she carried across her neck. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water, at the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do. After 2 years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house." The old woman smiled, "Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house." thinking about it ? about yourself your failures ? Think again !
