Patience Dike (not real name) was 12 years old when she moved in with her sister and her husband in their one-room apartment at Ebutte-Metta, Lagos State in January 2008. For over one year she lived with them, her sister’s husband, Philip Ugbuaja, routinely abused her sexually.
Recounting her experience, Miss Dike said her brother-in-law took away her dignity and self-worth. She said she lost count of the number of times she was abused by him. In June 2009, at the age of 13, she became pregnant for him.
“When he started he was always telling me that if I talk he will kill me. He did it so many times that I cannot remember how many times,” Miss Dike, a primary six pupil, said.
“But it was one day when I was vomiting that my sister found out I was pregnant. I then told her it is her husband who was responsible,”
The victim alleged that Jane Ugbuaja, in connivance with her husband, gave her sister, who was already two weeks pregnant, some pills in an attempt to abort the child. The pills led to her bleeding and Mrs Ugbuaja then called a neighbour, Toyin Ayodele, who was a nurse, to come to her aid.
“She (Mrs Ugbuaja) called me to come that her sister is bleeding. She was bleeding so much and had serious stomach pains. Her sister then told me she was pregnant and I discovered that part of the pregnancy had been removed. I had to do an evacuation of the retained product so as to save her life,” said Miss Ayodele, an auxiliary nurse.
After the abortion, Miss Dike’s life changed for the worse. Her sister started maltreating her while her husband continued to sexually molest her. Unable to bear the violence, she ran away on the 23rd of October 2009, when a Good Samaritan, she named Augustina, saw her in a shed.
She narrated her ordeal to her and out of pity Augustina housed her and subsequently took her to a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Project Alert, which deals with violence against females.
“When she was brought, she narrated all she had been through. One thing we discovered is that she was consistent with her story. We see it as a case against the state so we decided to take the case to the police for onward prosecution. We want justice for the girl because too many cases like hers go unprosecuted,” said Kate Ibeanusi, the Human Right Education project officer for the NGO.
When Mr and Mrs Ugbuaja were asked the reason for their actions, they became hostile. Mr Ugbuaja denied ever defiling his 13-year-old sister-in-law, instead claiming he was being framed by her.
Commenting, the Lagos State Police spokesman, Frank Mba, said evidence show the suspects committed the crime and tried to keep it to themselves. He said the police intend to prosecute to act as a deterrent to others.
“This is an extreme case of abuse. Even after the abortion, he (Mr Ugbuaja) continued to abuse the girl. It shows he is excessively and compulsively addicted to the habit. This is also an advice to wives to monitor that their husbands are not going beyond their briefs,” Mr Mba said.
Meanwhile, Mrs Ibeanusi said in view of creating awareness against the increasing number of violence against women and children, Project Alert will be organising a protest match in December 2009.
“This has become an issue that we need to bring to public awareness. There is an increase of rape cases of children between the ages of 5 and 14. This goes on because nobody is willing to take up the fight. We see this everyday and enough is enough,” Mrs Ibeanusi said.

Caught on camera: naked love rival flees furious husband
A naked man who climbed out of a window and hid on the ledge to escape his lover's furious husband has been caught on camera.
Sun Meng has been given the cold shoulder by his community after the extraordinary picture of him cowering naked outside the flat were posted on the internet.
The terrified 25-year-old fled from the balcony window when he was caught in bed with the man's wife at the married couple's flat in Chengdu, central China.
Photographs of the angry showdown, taken by a startled neighbour, were uploaded to a local community website.
They show Sun perched on the first floor ledge while his lover is confronted by her unnamed husband inside.
"My family is ashamed and none of my own neighbours will talk to me any more," said Sun.
"I know what I did was wrong but I was afraid he would kill me.
"People are even laughing at how I look naked – but I have to point out it was a very cold day," he added.
Chengdu, capital of the Sichuan province in south-western China, has a population of about 11 million.
In 2003, the Chinese government relaxed its traditional hold over the private lives of its subjects by allowing them to marry without the permission of their bosses.
The government published three lengthy documents dealing with marriage laws and population control.

Lagosians have expressed divergent views over the existence of strip clubs in the state, following P.M.News report on their activities last Friday.
P.M.News had reported that the number of strip clubs in the state is increasing by the day with four of them located on the Opebi-Allen axis alone.
Following the report, the Archbishop of Lagos State, Anthony Cardinal Okogie, lamented that evil has completely taken over Lagos and called on Governor Babatunde Fashola to act immediately to correct the situation by shutting them down.
“Evil has taken over in Lagos State. The way things are going, when girls of between the ages of 15 and 25 dance nude and throw caution to the wind with boys and men watching them, then they are sending a wrong signal to the society. It portends danger. We are sitting on a loaded gun,” said Okogie, in a statement signed by the Director of Social Communications, Lagos State, Reverend Gabriel Osu.
Okogie called on Fashola to act now because the strip clubs are on the increase, while those shut earlier have re-opened with impunity and with a change of name.
“
I hope this is not making mockery of Lagos as mega-city, Centre of Fxcellence and City of Aquatic Splendour,” he said.
While many Lagosians backed Okogie’s view, others who reacted on our website www.thepmnews.com or granted us interviews, called on the state governor to simply regulate strip clubs as adult fun is allowed in all mega cities of the world.
“Lagos is a mega city and all over the world, there is room for adult fun in mega cities. These strip clubs are not open to everybody but to adults who pay to enter. Nobody forces them to enter. They willingly pay to enter. I agree that some people may not like it but all over the world, some people will never like some things.
“I think, the state government must regulate the strip clubs. There must be some conditions under which they are allowed to operate. Under-aged girls and boys must not be seen within the vicinity and strip clubs must be located far away from residential areas,” said Ayo who claimed he has lived in Nigeria, Europe and America.
Another reader, Madudu, said: “It’s unfortunate that we quickly swallow negative tendencies from the western societies. While positive attributes such as good governance, hard work, honesty, love, and democracy are relegated. I suggest heavy tax by government to keep in check these aberrations.”
According to Toyin A, “Those rich men that are taking advantage of these young girls beware; you shall reap what you sow one day. If your sons do not marry one of these girls, your daughters will end up becoming one of them.”
“It is not only in Lagos. We have it in Port Harcourt, near the St. John Catholic Church. It happens live and open to the public as you drive through the spot. It is a big shame that the government cannot arrest such a dangerous activity. This is not as a result of unemployment. It is just SIN. The police should make arrests including the proprietors of the Clubs and prosecute them,” said Ochai.
According to Uzezi Jerry, “Reading through the comments on this page, I quickly realised that I am in Nigeria: A land of hypocrites and pretenders. For God’s sake, night clubs are not our problem. They are not the ones who looted our national treasury and left us in penury.
“We should channel our energies into fighting corruption in government, ignorance, religious and ethnic intolerance. These are the problems facing us not adults having consensual sex or fun in a night club.
“The nations of the West have night clubs everywhere but they are closer to God in attitude and behaviour than us; that is why they are more developed than us. Let us stop chasing shadows and face reality.”
Another reader who identified himself as Kabikala simply said : “Hypocrites you all! If you don’t like what they are doing, don’t go there. Let those who like it pay for what they like. How is that a problem of any of you?”
According to Shawnvince, “It is a very welcome development. I was in Nigeria recently and believe the experience and atmosphere was really elecrifying. However, they should try to stop live sex in these clubs, it is not good.”

Stay tuned for this year's lineup.GLASTONBURY, Somerset, EnglandJune 24-28 ($255)Glastonbury has been around since dairy farmer Michael Eavis first held a free-two day festival on his farm in 1970, and it's long been the festival in England for seeing the biggest and best bands in the world. It also may be the muddiest -- heavy rain in several years, most notably 1997, turned Glastonbury into a muddy bog. Everyone from Radiohead to Jay-Z has headlined the festival, and with over 700 acts each year, there is something for everybody, and some of the proceeds from the festival go to Oxfam and Greenpeace. This year's headliners include Franz Ferdinand, Blur, and Bruce Springsteen.ROCK AL PARQUE, Bogota, ColombiaJune 27-29 (free)The Rock al Parque festival, launched in 1995, has become South America's biggest rockfest in recent years -- some 320,000 people traveled to Simon Bolivar Park in 2006 for a weekend of Colombia's biggest rock bands and renowned international headliners. Funded by Colombia's culture secretary, the free festival has included some of rock's biggest names, including Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Manu Chao, and Bloc Party. In the days leading up to Rock al Parque, the festival organizers host a series of panel discussions on music production, management, and the recording industry.ROSKILDE, DenmarkJuly 2-5 ($220)Since 1971, the rock festival in Roskilde has hosted the biggest names in music, from Bob Marley to Bob Dylan. It is the biggest summer festival in northern Europe, and the "Arena" stage boasts a 17,000-capacity tent, the largest in Europe. The festival boasts a daily newspaper and a 24-hour live radio station, and is also home to the annual "Naked Run," where the first naked person to cross the finish line receives a free ticket for next year's festival. Some 80,000 will travel to Roskilde to see headliners including Coldplay, Oasis and Nine Inch Nails.EXIT, Novi Sad, SerbiaJuly 9-12 ($105)Created in 2000 by three university students as a protest against former Serbian president Slobodan Milosevic, the electro-focused festival in the heart of Serbia was named Europe's best festival in 2007. Over 200,000 people attended Exit last year, dancing at all night raves in the gorgeous surroundings of Petrovaradin Fortress, an eighteenth century castle near the Danube River. Some of techno's biggest names will be on hand to celebrate Exit's 10-year anniversary, including Moby, Kraftwerk, and The Prodigy.FUJI ROCK, Naeba, JapanJuly 24-26 ($410)Japan's biggest outdoor festival takes its name from Mt. Fuji, the site of the first festival in 1997. Fuji Rock has been set amongst the cool forested mountains of the Naeba ski resort for the past ten years -- gondolas and hilly trails transport people from stage to stage, and the streams and forests between them are the reason why Fuji Rock has been called the most beautiful festival in the world. It's not just about the scenery, though -- over 100,000 people will trek through the mountains to see headliners Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, and Weezer.LOLLAPALOOZA, Chicago, U.S.August 7-9 ($190)Rocker Perry Farrell began Lollapalooza in 1991 as a farewell tour for his band, Jane's Addiction. The biggest grunge rock festival during the nineties disappeared for awhile around the turn of the century, but it was revived in 2005 as a more traditional "big weekend" destination festival in Chicago. The past few years at Grant Park have been marked by hot summers, huge crowds, and even bigger bands. The anticipated crowd of nearly 200,000 is staggering, as are this year's headliners: Kings of Leon, Tool, Depeche Mode, and Beastie Boys, just to name a few.BESTIVAL, Isle of Wight, EnglandSeptember 11-13 ($205)The trendy Bestival, the original boutique weekend festival on the Isle of Wight, is the best way to end the summer festival season in Europe. Bestival boasts a yearly fancy dress competition -- last year was "30,000 freaks under the sea," and 2009 is the year of "Outer Space," so make sure to dress accordingly. Thousands of Bestival-goers will witness an eclectic lineup including Lily Allen, Massive Attack, and MGMT in the picturesque surroundings of Robin Hill Park. For family fun, look no further than Camp Bestival, a three day family festival at a castle by the sea in July.PARKLIFE, AustraliaLate September-Early OctoberThe Parklife one-day music festivals kick off the summer festival season across Australia. The dance-focused fests have featured heavyweights Justice, MIA, and Muscles over the past two years. The day-long festivals are followed by an official "After Life" party that runs until the early hours of the morning, so be prepared for a long one if you're one of the estimated 100,000 people attending a Parklife gig in one of capital cities across Australia at the end of September.WOODSTOCK, Cape Town, South AfricaLate Fall 2009When people think of Woodstock, Cape Town isn't necessarily what comes to mind. But for the past decade, the South African festival has been the biggest youth music event in the country, hosting a variety of both well-known and upcoming mainstream and hip-hop acts -- not to mention a variety of extreme sports stunt acts, paintballing, and flea-market stalls. Woodstock may not have the star power of the legendary American festival -- but with the wide range of music and outdoor activities it presents, its promoters aren't lying when they say that boredom simply isn't an option.SUNBURN, Goa, IndiaDecember 2009Sunburn Festival launched in December 2007 as south Asia's first electronic music festival, and featured heavyweights like Carl Cox and John '00' Fleming. Located seaside in Goa, on India's west coast, the festival has its roots in "Goa Trance," a type of pulsing, transcendental electro music that became popular in the early 1990s. Sunburn again treated over 5,000 electro revelers to a three-day party by the beach in December 2008. The festival's founder has said Sunburn will always be free to attend, and it is not to be missed if you happen to be in India in December.http://edition.cnn.com/2009/TRAVEL/04/28/summer.festivals/index.htmlRead more…
I feel very fortunate that I met the perfect guy for me, but I have to admit that I do get really jealous of my single girlfriends when I hear about their dating adventures (even the bad ones!). Is that weird?
When I was dating, I didn't fully appreciate that nervous energy you get before you meet someone new, and I miss it. Sometimes when my friends are giving me a play-by-play of their dating adventures, I wish I could trade places with them for just one night to experience that rush again.
When I read about my girlfriends going on a date with her husband of eight years and feeling butterflies, I couldn't help but smile. That's the feeling I miss. Maybe I just need to make Ifeoma institute a monthly date night to let me experience that energy again!
Do you ever feel jealous of your single girlfriends when they go on dates? Ever wish you could trade places with them, even for one night? Or are you thrilled that you met "the one" so that you never have to go on another date again?
P.S. Who's your favorite fictional single gal? What's the sweetest thing a guy ever did for you on a first date? And what do you always do on or before a first date?

The Sudanese government has apologised to Nigerians and the Senate President, David Mark, for shutting its airport in Khartoum against him and his entourage on Monday.
The United Nations (UN) and the African Union (AU) have also apologised to the Nigerian government over the incident.
In separate apologies, the Sudanese government and the two international unions said investigation has begun into the circumstances that led to the “mishap.” Ghazi Salahudin Atabani, the majority leader of the Sudanese parliament and the representative of the Sudanese president said: “We apologize for this mishap; the Sudanese government is embarrassed because it was not intended.” The Presidential aircraft conveying Mr. Mark and other senators who were going to visit Nigerian troops on peace mission in the war ravaged Sudan were refused landing at the Khartoum Airport on Monday, forcing the pilot to return to Abuja.
According to Mr. Atabani, “The incident was caused by communication gap, because for some time now, the Khartoum airport runway has been undergoing repairs between 8:00am and 3:00pm. However, the incident is regrettable.”
Mr. Mark, however, said the incident “is totally unacceptable to Nigeria. We feel extremely disappointed over the incident because it was a scheduled visit.” Ibrahim Idah (PDP Katsina State) and chairman senate committee on defence and a member of the delegation said that back, the Sudanese government closed the airport to international flights, with the full knowledge of their visit.
He added that the Sudanese government contacted the presidential pilot conveying the Nigerian envoy through the Chadian airport authorities that they will not be able to land in Khartoum.
“The delegation already entered the Sudanese airspace then.” Mr. Idah explained.
He added that efforts made to reach the Sudanese authorities to clarify their position failed, as the airport authorities bluffed their calls and that even the Nigerian ambassador in Sudan was unaware of the repairs at the airport.
More apologies
The head of the Joint African Union and the United Nations Hybrid Operations in Darfur, Henry Abyidoho, was also part of the fence mending envoy seeking to pacify the Senate president.
However, Mark told him, “I have noted your apology and hoped that the incident will be looked into. We have reported the matter to our Foreign Affairs Ministry. We believe that without peace, there can be no democracy in Africa. We hope that the incident will not mar the relationship between both countries,” the Senate president added.
The Sudanese president Omar B ashir was originally scheduled to visit Nigeria on Thursday before local and international calls for his arrest forced him to cancel the trip. Mr Bashir is wanted by the Inter national Criminal Court for his role in the ge nocide at the Darfur region of Sudan.

It was a show of shame on Sunday when a woman who lied to her husband that she was going for a night vigil died in a popular hotel (names withheld) during a sex romp with her lover.
advertisement
The mother of seven identified as Modinat Alabi, 45, of Ereko Street, Fadeyi, Lagos, had lied to her husband a devout muslim that she was going for a night vigil but ended up lodging in a hotel with one Hezekiah Ladipo, 62, who also lives in the same street with the deceased. The duo, Daily Sun learnt, lodged in the hotel as husband and wife.
Daily Sun also gathered that the suspect, Ladipo also is married with three children. It was gathered that on the fateful day, the two lovers had lodged in the hotel, at about 2.45 am. Hezekiah reportedly rushed to the reception, where he complained that his wife collapsed and was gasping for breath during sex romp.
It was further gathered that when the receptionist rushed to the guest room, the woman who was naked had already given up the ghost.
Daily Sun learnt that when it dawned on Hezekiah that the woman was dead, he attempted to run away. The hotel management who suspected foul play arrested him and called in the police.
A police source told Daily Sun that it was during investigation that the suspect confessed that the woman he initially claimed as his wife was actually another man’s wife.
When the deceased’s husband was contacted, he was shocked, as he expected the wife to be at the night vigil.
However, the state police spokesman, Mr. Frank Mba, who confirmed the story told Daily Sun that the suspect was being investigated to know if there was ulterior motive rather than sex romp before the woman died. He described the act as shameful.
He said the corpse has been deposited at a public mortuary for autopsy while investigation is going on.

The foreign media has been rightly accused of always blowing our ugly sides out of proportion while conveniently keeping mum on our good sides. Any time you hear the name Nigeria mentioned in any foreign media, especially CNN, chances are that it will be in the negative. Most times, even a good story about Nigeria is ended with one negative comment or the other.
But in the last few weeks, some young Nigerians were featured in great light to the delight of those who truly love Nigeria. First it was Nigeria’s actress Genevieve Nnaji that was featured on the high-profile The Oprah Winfrey Show. Then it was the award-winning novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie that was featured on CNN’s as the Connector of the Day.
Oprah Winfrey featured Genevieve as one of the Most Famous People in the World. Hate her or love her, Oprah Winfrey is the presenter of the show that is acknowledged as the highest-rated programme of its kind in living history. She is also rated as the most influential woman in the world. Any book she talks about on her programme becomes a bestseller. She was one of those who called on Barack Obama to run for president when he was just a fresh Senator, and was said to have delivered over a million votes to Barack Obama in the 2008 Democratic Party’ primaries.
Unconfirmed reports also have it that she said a few years ago that Nigeria is a nation of fraudsters.
Also given that the world of most United States ’ citizens starts with the U.S. , touches some part of Europe and ends with Asia , it was pleasantly surprising for Oprah to add a Nigerian lady on that list. That was good public relations for the country, no matter how small it was.
Then last week, CNN featured Chimamanda Adichie as the Connector of the Day on Becky Anderson’s Connect the World. All the questions asked were mainly about Nigeria. In addition to all the awards she had previously won through her two novels Purple Hibiscus and Half of a Yellow Sun, Adichie was recently awarded one of this year’s MacArthur Foundation fellowships, popularly known as “genius grants”, which come with an obligation-free annual grant of $100,000 for a five-year period. That award was highlighted in that interview. The good thing about that interview was that it was part of the international news bulletin, rather than the Africa-focused programmes: Inside Africa and African Voices.
There are a few points to note about these positive achievements recorded by these Nigerians. The first is that none of them is a politician or a government official. Secondly, they are both women. Thirdly, they are of the same generation (the under-40 generation). Fourthly, they were both born and bred at home (in Igboland) before they got international fame.
This goes to prove that even in this unfriendly environment, one can rise to international acclaim. It is also a pointer to the fact that Nigerians as a people are winners in whatever field they may find themselves. They are very intelligent, skilful, resourceful and diligent. It is therefore ironic that while Nigeria as a nation is always rated lowly in all world rankings, her citizens are rated highly in whatever competition they participate in.

I'm sorry if you think I'm crazy, but this is in response to a question that SHE asked me in the previous post, and I totally went off point and began to ramble about Igbos and Yorubas having boots long before the Europeans showed up.
Anyway, I promised I would find a picture because I had come across a pair of Yoruba boots in an obscure African museum once and I found it!!!!
Yay!!!!!!!
Below are two very very rare sets of Igbo riding boots that according to the museum may have been made to wear with horses purchased from Hausa traders (bloody trypanosomiasis means some parts of Igbo land are a death trap for our four-legged friends).
Note the split toes. These things are crazy cute!!!!!!
Behold the ancestor of the jumpsuit that is currently flooding the catwalks of Fashion Week
And according to the IMA Museum, this Igbo Agbogho masquerade costume is worn with boots, which totally makes sense because I've seen the Agbogho Mmuo and the whole thing looks like a playsuit so I guess they wear the matching boots to create that effect.
Now tremble at the awesomeness of Nigerian Cultures!!!

Bankole to Niger Delta: your leaders failed youHouse of Representatives Speaker Dimeji Bankole yesterday hit Niger Delta leaders hard, saying they should carry the can for the crisis in the region, which he said they failed to develop inspite of the huge funds they got in the last 10 years. He spoke at a national summit on Post Amnesty Confidence Building in Kaduna. To Bankole, it is true that Nigerians were not fair to the Niger Delta before the advent of the current democratic dispensation, but events in the last 10 years have changed the course of action in the region."If we are to be honest with ourselves, we have not been fair to the Niger Delta. We have been unfair to the Niger Delta. The Niger Delta has been producing the funds with which we’ve been running this country for so many years."The funds we used to build Abuja where I came from this morning, those lovely roads and bridges and offices came from the funds from the Niger Delta. I have not seen such bridges and roads in the Niger Delta. I haven’t. Until those roads and infrastructure come to the Niger Delta, well, we’ll continue to put the request on the front burner of Nigerian politics," he said. But, the Speaker argued that state governments in the Niger Delta collect much more from the Federation Account than all the northern states put together, pointing out that Bayelsa State, for example, collects almost 10 times more than Lagos State. Development in Lagos State has shown that good governance pays after all, said the Speaker. He said the past neglect of the Niger Delta was changing for good, adding: "In the last 10 years, there has been tremendous improvement in the governance, financing of the Niger Delta. In the last 10 years, indigenes of the Niger Delta have been operating at the top level of governance in Nigeria."Today, the Vice President is of Niger Delta origin. Today, the head of service that is the engine room of the government is from the Niger Delta. Should I go on? The Chief of Defence Staff is also from the Niger Delta. I should carry on? Until a few months ago, even the Inspector General of Police was from the Niger Delta. Even when it comes to economic, security and politics, Niger Delta is at the top."For some of you who have been to Lagos in the past one year, I’m sure you’ll notice the difference. And I’m not shy to appreciate that there is a difference in Lagos. It’s good governance."Like I said, there are differences in Nigerian government today. But I’ll tell you, His Excellency, the governor of Bayelsa State collects 9.2 times more money than Lagos State from the Federal Allocation. That’s a recent development. Don’t compare it with 20 years ago."I know that Rivers State collects more money than the entire North Eastern part of Nigeria, today. I know that Akwa Ibom State collects more money than the entire North Western part of Nigeria today. I know that Bayelsa State collets more money than the entire North Central states of Nigeria…"Nigeria’s budget for this year was around N3trillion. However, by the time you add the budget of the Niger Delta states alone, it is over N1.5trillion. There are may be over 140 to 150milion people in Nigeria. Niger Delta as about 17million; the remaining 130million is outside the Niger Delta."Those are the facts that 10 to 20 years from now, people are going to ask me, people are going to ask the governor of Bayelsa, people are going to ask all of us here that what did we do when these facts were being put on the table..."Bankole, who said that the Niger Delta people should begin to ask their leaders how the resources accruing to them are being spent, added: "When they start abusing me on the headlines tomorrow, just remember what I said here. Now, we have an opportunity. With these funds, there must be a difference because the people of the Niger Delta would begin to ask questions of their leaders on how these monies were spent."We may have excuses in the past that we were unfair to the Niger Delta. But those are no longer excuses today. Because we will ask you. When they ask me, I’ll say ‘go and ask them’. What did they do with that money?"Nobody’s going to come from Abeokuta to tell you what you do with your money in the creeks. If anybody is telling you that, he’s lying. You should ask yourselves about how your money was spent."And when they ask those questions, we better have answers for them. Not only have we been unfair to the Niger Delta, we have been unfair to the North East; we have been unfair to the North West; we’ve been unfair to the North Central, we have been unfair to the South East. We have been unfair to Anambra."Bankole’s view is that what is happening in the Niger Delta is not different from what is happening in the other parts of the country, "except that when the young people of the Niger Delta feel the thing directly, they react.""It didn’t just start today, they have been reacting gradually for so many years," he added. To the Speaker, there is no solution to the Nigerian issue, Niger Delta or otherwise, in oil.His words: "Oil will not produce the solution. It’s very simple. The technology involved in the development of oil cannot employ Nigerians. If it cannot employ Nigerians, it cannot solve the Nigerian problem."

i am tired of how Nigerian women do not take care of their physical appearance, we leave ourselves, by the way the men also apply, but am talking about women nowwhat is wrong with having a facials to get rid of pimples, just spending 30mins once a week to steam the face can help remove pores and dirtgoing to the gym or just doing 30mins cardio at home 3times a week can do alot,I am not going to lie, Nigerian women are really beautiful, the only thing lacking is the zeal to make oneself attractive WITH a little efforti dont care how beautiful your cloth looks or how much you spent, its notting if you cant take care of your bodyNow about Omotola Jalade(NOT SURE ABT MY SPELLING), the excuse that most nigerian women use now is that just because you have children you should be fat and not care for yourselves again, that is complete crap Angry, having children does'nt mean its the end of the world, u could still take 5mins out of you time daily to do a little cardio and not forgetting eating healthy

Every so often, a story breaks that so unbelievably stupid that it makes one shudder with disbelief at the lack of judgment by Nigerian government officials. We should collectively ask whether the people we designate to manage our affairs, including the President of the Federal Republic have ever been tested for common sense. The answer would be obvious. The latest example of this disreputable policy would be almost laughable if it weren’t so tragically flawed as it involves a Nigerian diplomat who was assassinated in the line of duty in the Czech Republic.Picture this. The year is 2005. A Czech citizen allegedly loses over one million Euros in a 419 Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) investment scam said to have been masterminded by some Nigerian con men. Unable to recover his money, the Czech citizen storms the Nigerian embassy in Prague, Czech Republic where he opened fire, killing a Nigerian Diplomat inside his office in cold blood. The Federal Government through the Nigerian Embassy in Poland with concurrent accreditation to the Czech Republic retains a group of Nigerian lawyers to represent the Nigerian Government and the family of the deceased; in the substantive matter of MUDr. Jiri Pasovsky, Case No. 45 T 21/2004 at the Municipal Court in Prague, as well as before appellate jurisdictions in the murder trial. The case goes to trial and the suspect charged with the killing of Mr. Michael Lekare WAYI is sentenced to eight (8) years imprisonment. Outraged by the paltry sentence, the lawyers inform the FGN of their intention to appeal within the statutory 8-days deadline. The FGN says wait for instructions from Abuja; the lawyers also ask to file a civil suit against the culprit and the Czech government for damages to the deceased’s family. They were again advised to wait until the statutory three-year limitation has run out. To crown it all, the FGN has not honored its obligations towards the Counsel they retained and after four years of trying to navigate the bloated Nigerian bureaucracy, the Presidency informed the lawyers that the FGN was not aware that one of its Diplomats had been killed in the Czech Republic, let alone being familiar with the retention of the legal services in question. This is 2009 and the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is Umaru Musa Yar’adua; the Foreign Minister is Ojo Maduekwe and the Justice Minister is Michael Aondoakaa. Together with officials of the Nigerian Embassy in Poland and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, these cast of clowns who are actors in the unfolding tragic-comedy of errors. Nigerians are not in doubt that the people pretending to be managing the affairs of the nation are irresponsible. Our people know for a fact that Yar’adua's PDP government are doing far more than disservice to the people, far more selfish than the nation has ever known and far more unreliable and undependable to put in anything for the good of the nation; They do not care about anything; they just steal, steal and steal. The facts of the five-year long saga remain intriguing and reveal a government that has absconded its responsibilities towards its citizens as well as immobilism and lack of coordination amongst various government departments – from the Presidency to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) to the Nigerian Embassy in Poland. The Federal Government is now facing a payment order lawsuit to the tune of 150,913.21 Euros being unpaid legal fees for professional legal services rendered by Law Allianz firm retained to represent the Federal Government of Nigeria and the family of the deceased; Mr. Michael Lekare WAYI in the substantive matter of MUDr. Jiri Pasovsky, Case No. 45 T 21/2004 at the Municipal Court in Prague, Spalena as well as before appellate jurisdictions in the murder that took place inside the Nigerian Embassy, Prague, Czech Republic.Documents obtained exclusively by Huhuonline.com indicate that on February 10, 2005, the Nigerian Ambassador to Poland, Nuhu N Bajoga Audu duly contracted the Law Allianz firm by signing a certificate of authority authorizing the attorneys to hold brief for the government and the deceased in the case. The task was executed as mandated and the lawyers have been engaged in a frustrating exercise to get payment for their services. In another petition addressed to President Yar’adua’s office, the lawyers explained that after four years of futile efforts to get the Nigerian government pay their bills, they were left with no other option than to file the payment order lawsuit before the statute of limitation runs out. The petition, signed by Edward Asu Esq, lead counsel, enjoined President Yar’adua to use is high office to seek an amicable solution to the matter.Said the petition: “We filed the first demand for payment through the Nigerian Embassy in July 2005 and received a response Ref. No. ENP/PER/44/Vol 1 (Exhibit G). We replied timely. After this reply, we heard nothing from the NE Poland. When the NE Poland ceased to communicate with us, we filled the same demand for payment a second time directly to HMFA, Ambassador Oluyemi Adeniji, the Nigerian Embassy, the Director, NIA and the HMJ, Chief Akinlolu Olukinmi and your honourable office, the Presidency. About a Month or later we received a single and only correspondence from your honourable office, Ref. No. SH/COS/09/A/154 dated 12th July 2005 and signed by Ado Ma’aji, for the Chief of Staff to the Presidency. (Exhibit H). We were basically called names as the author claimed that your esteemed office did not know about such a case and neither was your office familiar with the retention of our professional services. This response begs the question, how come the highest office in the land does not know about the assassination of one of its senior diplomats inside her territory? Assuming the office of the Presidency is not aware of this incident as the writer claims, then, it introduces an even more vexatious question, why were the Permanent Secretary of MFA and deputy director of NIA in attendance at the trial? Is it feasible that the MFA and NIA did not advise the office of the Presidency about these events? We think not. There seem to be more questions than there are answers. Our opinion is that our demand for payment was intercepted and returned the MFA to prevent embarrassment; but like every light lamp that cannot be hidden under a bowl but placed on a lamp stand, this correspondence shall return to hunt them…Under Czech rules, the statute of limitations for filling suit is three (3) years, thus, based upon counsel’s advice we were forced to file a payment order suit prior to this date. We advised NE Poland in writing prior to filing this payment order suit. We cannot and refuse to be at the mercy of the FGN for services that we already rendered and expenses paid out of our own pockets. It is noteworthy to state that at trial, the facts and evidence manifestly showed that the late WAYI may have been murdered because the FGN allegedly did not fulfillment (alleged) legal financial obligations – repayment of the investment - to the culprit, MUDr. Pasovsky. Do you see a connection there? In the words of the statesman Benjamin Franklin, "to try and fail is at least to learn. To fail to try is to suffer the loss of what might have been." Apparently, irrespective of whatever anyone might think, there seem to be a nexus and pattern of behaviour here. Having being forced to file suit we have nothing to loose as it stands but we continue to hope that the FGN resolves this matter amicably and out of court by settling our invoices. In this light, our position remains unchanged. And as the late Gani Fawehinmi (SAN) would say, "Stand up for what is right even if you are standing alone". Unfailingly, we shall continue in this regard.”“We reiterate that it is not our intention to humiliate or tarnish the image of Nigeria but as already explained herein, we have run out of all other options and had to institute legal proceedings due to the statute bar provisions, even though we tried our utmost best to refrain from brining legal action. Given the circumstances we rather choose to exhaust all avenues for consultations and amicable resolution of the matter which have proved unsuccessful till date because all our demands have not been dignified with an acknowledgement or response including our second demand for intervention to your esteemed office. “

The 2008 Batch C National Youth Service Corps members ended their one-year compulsory national service with passing-out parades (POP) held in all the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory on Tuesday.
In Lagos, the event was held at the parade ground at the Ikeja Cantonment. According to the state coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Ladipo Laniyan, this batch of corps members, who started their service on November 4, 2008 was made up of 1,399 when they were posted to the state. Some were redeployed to other states mostly for health reasons while more were redeployed to Lagos.
Mr. Laniyan said 2,013 corps member satisfactorily completed their service while seven are to be remobilised for abandoning their places of primary assignment.
The Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, was represented by the commissioner for Special Duties, Tola Kasali at the event. In his speech read by Mr. Kasali, the governor appreciated the contribution of the corps members to the development of the state.
“At the beginning of your service year 12 months ago, I drew your attention to the various challenges of national development. I am happy to note with interest that you have contributed your quota to nation-building. I wish to formally acknowledge your unparalleled individual and collective contributions to your host communities in the area of community development projects,” he said.
The occasion also featured presentation of awards to some outstanding corps members. Michael Olorunfemi, from Kogi State, a graduate of Human Kinetics, was awarded the best corps member in the batch. He won it for a beautification project he carried out at the Ikorodu Local Government Secretariat. He said he did it because he wanted to compliment the efforts of the state government.
After the match past, some of the corps members danced, as the corps band, made up of those still serving, played different tunes while others took photographs and congratulated one another.
However, in spite of the excitement, most of the corps members expressed fears. Some of them that spoke to NEXT expressed uncertainty about their future.
Felicia Oboma, a graduate of Biochemistry said she is really scared because of the level of unemployment. “We are going to join the labour market like millions of other graduates. It is not funny. The situation is really bad. One is passing out, you don’t know what will come next. Our country is really in a bad time. I’ve started applying in different places hoping that I will be lucky,” Ms. Oboma said.
Kayode Mosaku, a graduate of Botany from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State, said he has left the future to chance.
“I will try all the options possible, throw my CV to everywhere possible and hope for a good response from somewhere. I have friends who have finished NYSC like two years ago and are still at home without jobs. So I think this NYSC programme is not working. If all the money that is used to run the programme is invested in us, maybe someone might be able to set up, since jobs are not available,” Mr. Mosaku said.

All thiscan be found in a can of RED BULL , the power drink of the millennium.'RED BULL has managed to arrive at almost 100 countries worldwide. The REDBULL logo is targeted at young people and sportsmen, two attractivesegments that have been captivated by the stimulus that the drink provides. It was created by Dietrich Mateschitz, an industrialist of Austrianorigin who discovered the drink by chance. It happened during abusiness trip toHong Kong , when he was working at a factory that manufacturedtoothbrushes. The liquid, based on a formula that contained caffeine and taurine, causeda rage in that country. Imagine the grand success of this drink in Europewhere the product still did not exist, besides it was a superb opportunityto become an entrepreneur.BUT THE TRUTH ABOUT THIS DRINK IS ANOTHER THING:FRANCE and DENMARK have just prohibited it as a cocktail of death, due toits vitamin components mixed with GLUCURONOLACTONE', a highly dangerouschemical, which was developed by the United States Department of Defenseduring the sixties to stimulate the moral of the troops based in VIETNAM,which acted like a hallucinogenic drug that calmed the stress of the war.But their effects in the organism were so devastating, that it wasdiscontinued, because of the high index of cases of migraines, cerebral tumorsand diseases of the liver that was evident in the soldiers who consumed it.And in spite of it, in the can of RED BULL you can still find as one ofits components: GLUCURONOLACTONE, categorized medically as a stimulant. Butwhat it does not say on the can of ,RED BULL are the consequences of itsconsumption, and that has forced us to place a series of WARNINGS:1. It is dangerous to take it if you do not engage in physical exerciseafterwards, since its energizing function accelerates the heart rate and cancause a sudden attack.2. You run the risk of undergoing a cerebral hemorrhage, because RED BULLcontains components that dilute the blood so that the heart utilizes lessenergy to pump the blood, and thus be able to deliver physical force withless effort being exerted.3. It is prohibited to mix RED BULL with alcohol, because the mixture turnsthe drink into a " Deadly Bomb " that attacks the liver directly, causing the affected area never to regenerate anymore.4. One of the mai_n components of RED BULL is the B12 vitamin, used inmedicine to recover patients who are in a coma; from here the hypertensionand the state of excitement which is experienced after taking it, as if youwere in a drunken state.5. The regular consumption of RED BULL triggers off symptoms in the formof a series of irreversible nervous and neuronal diseases.CONCLUSION: It is a drink that should be prohibited in the entire worldas when it is mixed with alcohol it creates a TIME BOMB for the human body, mainly between innocent adolescents and adults with little experience..Forward this mail to Everyone and Let them know about this.._(http://www.funzug.com/index.php/informative-zone/red-bull-=-slow-death.html)BEST REGARDS

As Pope John Paul II was dying; he sent for James Ibori and Peter Odili to come to the Vatican .When they arrived, they were ushered to his bedroom. As they entered, the clergyman held out his hands and motioned them to sit on each side of the bed.The Pope grasped their hands, sighed contentedly, smiled and stared at the ceiling. For a time, no one said anything. Both Ibori and Odili were touched and flattered that the old Pope would ask them to be with him during his final moment. They were also puzzled because the Pope never gave any indication that he liked either one of them. Finally, Ibori asked, "Fader, wettin make you ask dTwo of us to come here?"The old Pope mustered up some strength and said weakly,"Jesus died between two thieves...I will like to die like him"

Purpose, Passion, Peace. A Rebirth of a Nation.
There was ONE who embodied this while he was "on" earth .Is
your October Ist going to be just another Holiday or a prequel to the
3Ps .Live 80years but 3Peed 5years,5 years of purpose,passion and peace out of 80 ? what a waste !
We MUST transform ourselves from name calling and buck passing to Name Builders and Buck giving.
It is Clear Our Leaders are USELESS nincompoops hellbent on destroying what ever Sanity that is left in our Nation.I have traversed this country for two months and Have not found one "nobility" Person that readily takes or has the pride of life of Naija .I have however met many plebeians,Street people .Unknowns ! Who see Nigeria as the only solution to their problems.
Illiterate and without connections nor money to Andrew and check out of the country .These are the Real Nigerians , Who have no stakes anywhere, no hidden bank of ibori accounts abroad.Who will look at October ist and realise and say "Naija for life" .E go better syndrome is what keeps them for they know nothing else.
October ist to them might turn out to be the day President Go slow has a positive Brain Transplant or better Still RESIGNS ! and then Dancing on the Streets as the day a certain Aviator Sunglasses wearing General Baddest President for Life Sanni Abacha gave up the ghost in office .Remember that day ? There was dancing on the streets of Lagos.
When the wicked perish there are Shouts of Joy !
PURPOSE
3Ps
WE wish for a purpose in our Nation. We have been ridiculed to what they call rebranding ? How can you rebrand a brand that never was ? When the people ,The State ,The Fatherland is being run by charlatans. Our Day of joy as a Nation Birthed 49years ago will come and go amidst the pomp and pageantry and possibly The New Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia might just do another hiatus and not even be present for it.
Rebranding is not our purpose. Our Purpose should be Prosperity ,Good Roads,Running Tap Water,Electricity,Education,Health Care. What is the purpose of a country ? If not its citizens welfare ? Please, Pray tell me.what is the purpose of the Body if
not to provide the pleasures of life to its owners !
Passion
The passion of the Christ movie stems from responsibilty, It was engendered by talent and sustained through sheer determination to accomplish Purpose .The ultimate goal of any passion is to accomplish.Mel Gibson did that movie in aramaic ? He could have done it in English but then that is what passion is all about !
Have we a passion for our Nation ? As citizens , do we share a national pride in being nigerian, Artisans,Academics,Soldiers Of all the professions in this country there is "none" that shows true passion than our Armed Forces .In a nation riddled with corruption and hopelessness of the pushed to the wall and break it type. There Still exists people that would willingly give their lives to protect this country !
Willingly not conscripted. Not forced. They dont get huge bank bonuses nor offficial cars and drivers .Their salaries and living conditions are pitiful.A life of armed Robbery would be more profitable for these unfortunate souls , And yet they still do it ! They are true Soldiers What then is Nobility ? Is it by birth or class standing or is it by Character that pervades selflessness and the Joy of Purpose fuelled by this passion to serve without expecting anything in return ?
Passion for This october ist will give us all a chance to another holiday or another chance to say hmm 49years old country .
Add 1 for center u go get 4-1-9years. Life begins at 40 ... A fool at 40 might still be a fool at 80 . Someone said "we are still a young country, dont compare usto america they are 200 odd years ) .LOL (lights on Lightsaber) Let me make a daring thrust at the heart of this malaise wielding rhetoric.
If Alexander the Great barely before he was 25 in a span of less than 10years was running the show in what was The larger part of this Real EState called Earth and a host of other nations like Ghana, Malaysia who in the earSixtiesed to look up to us as big brother .Then the "Age" of a country should be measured by its leadership accomplishments .The bible always in the old testament and i often wondered at this .
"In the Reign of so and so King........" In the Reign of Obasanjo.... The king " Behold a king shall reign in righteosness and Princes shall rule in justice .Isa 32:6 He fall him own hand as OBJ he had a passion ,passion to become UN Secretary General not president.Yaradua's pasion might be to become a Saudi Prince or citizen or to get healed. He has lost the P he is a president for. He lost his passion We cant lose ours. This passion has to return back to us to the point that Our Ori E must 4kasibe naija must gongo aso and enta the place where
all the African Kings and Queens are bracketing because love is a beautiful thing.Mister naijaman that will be most definitely incredible stuff coming straight out of Naija.
As for The third P , Peace
We shall not spill our blood for the "Aristos" in power WE have done it before .He is here, many of us are not
Peace be unto You and all (Who no like peace even al qaeda want am bad well after dem don erase America off the face of the
earth )
So lets keep 3ping 3Ps to Success Which October ist are you ?
Happy October Ist

Attack Sequence 1: Direct Questioning• Stage 1. Ask your question directly.• Give no advance warning of the subject you’re about to bring up or of any feelings of mistrust.• Never reveal what you know first. Ask questions to gather information to see if it’s consistent withwhat you already know.• The way you present yourself can greatly influence the attitude of the other person. Three powerfultips for establishing building rapport:1. Matching posture and movements – if he has one hand in his pocket, you put your hand in yours.2. Matching speech – if he’s speaking in a slow, relaxed tone, you do the same.3. Matching key words – if he’s prone to using certain words or phrases, use them when speaking.• Ask a question that you know will produce a response similar to how you expect him to react. In otherwords, if he waves his arms around no matter what he’s talking about, you want to know this.• Use a relaxed and non-threatening posture, and square off so that you’re facing each other.• Never, ever interrupt. You can’t learn anything new while you’re talking. Ask open-ended questions.• Stage 2. Silence.• Stage 3. Really? At the end of his answer respond with “Really?”• Stage 4. Sudden Death. Follow with “Is there anything you want to get off your chest?”Attack Sequence 2: Lead and Confine• Stage 1. Ask a leading question. For example, “you were back by two A.M. last night, weren’t you?”• Stage 2. Reverse course: You’ve got to be kidding! For example, “I was hoping you did, so you would havegotten it out of your system. Please tell me that you’ve done it, so I know that it’s over with.”• Stage 3. This is not going to work. For example, “I thought you were somebody who had a sense of adventure.Someone who knows how to live a little.”Attack Sequence 3: Time Line Distortion• Scenario: You suspect several employees in your store of stealing money• Stage1. Setting the scene. Let the conversation turn casually to stealing and say, “Oh, I knew right from thestart what was going on.”• Stage 2. It’s no big deal. “You had to know I knew. How else do you think you could have gotten away with itfor so long? I hope you don’t think I’m a complete idiot.”• Stage 3. I appreciate what you’ve done. “I know that you were just going along with it because you werescared of what the others would do. It’s really okay. I know you’re not that kind of person.”Attack Sequence 4: Direct Assumption / Shot in the Dark• Stage 1. Set the scene. Be somewhat curt and standoffish, as if something heavy-duty is bothering you. Thiswill cause his mind to race to find ways to explain the “error of his ways.”• Stage 2. I’m hurt. Say, “I’ve just found something out and I’m really hurt [shocked/surprised]. I know you’regoing to lie to me and try to deny it, but I just wanted you to know that I know.” You establish that (a) he’sguilty of something and (b) you know what it is.• Stage 3. Holding your ground. Say, “I think we both know what I’m talking about. We need to clear the air,and we can start by your talking.”• Stage 4. Continue to hold your ground. Repeat phrases such as “I’m sure it will come to you” and “The longer Iwait, the madder I’m getting.”• Stage 5. Apply social pressure. “We were all talking about it. Everybody knows.” Now he begins to getcurious about who knows and how they found out. As soon as he tries to find out, you’ll know he’s guilty.Attack Sequence 5: The Missing Link• Scenario: You think that your mother-in-law may have hired a private investigator to follow you around.• Stage 1. List facts. Tell her something that you know to be true. “I know you’re not very fond of me, and thatyou objected to the wedding, but this time you’ve gone too far.”• Stage 2. State your assumption. “I know all about the investigator. Why did you think that was necessary?”• Stage 3. The magic phrase. “You know what, I’m too upset to talk about this now.” The guilty person willhonor your request because she won’t want to anger you further. An innocent person will be mad at you foraccusing her of something that she hasn’t done and will want to discuss it now.Attack Sequence 6: Who, Me?• Stage1. Setting the scene. He suspects that his ex-girlfriend broke into his house. He phoned to let her know ina very non-accusatory way that that there had been a break-in and some items were missing. The following typeof conversation would ensue:Winston: The police are going to want to talk to everyone who had access to the house. Since youstill have a key, they’re going to want to speak with you. Just routine stuff, I’m sure. Ofcourse you’re not a suspect.Ex-Girlfriend: But I don’t know anything about it.Winston: Oh, I know. Just policy, I guess. Anyway, one of my neighbors said that she got apartial license-plate number on a car that was by my house that day.Ex-Girlfriend: (After a long pause) Well, I was driving around your neighborhood that day. Istopped by to see if you were home. But when you weren’t, I just left.Winston: Oh, really? Well, they did a fingerprint test too. That should show something.Ex-Girlfriend: What test?Winston: Oh, they dusted for prints and…• Stage 2. Inform non-accusatorily. Casually inform your suspect of the situation.• Stage 3. Introduce evidence to be rebutted. As you introduce the evidence, look to see if every one of yourstatements is met by explanations from him as to how the evidence could be misunderstood. For example, yoususpect that a co-worker had shredded some of your files. You would first set the stage by letting him knowthat you can’t find some important files. Then say, “Well, it’s a good thing my new secretary noticed someoneby the shredder the other day. She said she recognized his face but didn’t know his name.” An innocent personwould not feel the need to explain in order to avert the possibility that he might be wrongly accused.• Stage 4. Continue. Continue with more facts that the person can try to explain away. But in actuality, as soonhe starts to talk about why the situation might “look that way,” you know you have him.Attack Sequence 7: Outrageous Accusations• Stage 1. Accuse him of everything. In a very fed-up manner, accuse him of doing every imaginable dishonestand disloyal act.• Stage 2. Introduce the suspicion. Now introduce the one thing you feel he really has done, and in an attempt toclear himself of the other charges, he will offer an explanation for his one slip-up. Say, “I mean, it’s not likeyou just stole a file, that would be fine. But all these other things are unspeakable.” He responds, “No, I juststole that one file because of the pressure to get the job done, but I would never sell trade secrets!” The onlyway to prove his innocence to all of your outrageous accusations is to explain why he did what you reallysuspect of him of doing.• Stage 3. Step in closer. This increases anxiety in the guilty. He feels he’s being closed in on.Attack Sequence 8: Is There a Reason?• Stage 1. Introduce a fact. For example, if you want to know if your secretary went out last night when she saidshe was sick, “I drove by your house on the way home. Is there a reason your car wasn’t in the driveway?”Had she been home sick, she would simply tell you that you were wrong – the car was in the driveway.• Stage 2. One more shot. “Oh, that’s odd, I called your house and I got your machine.” If she’s guilty she willlook for any way to make her story fit your facts.• Stage 3. Stare. Staring makes someone who is on the defensive feel closed in; your glare is infringing on herpersonal space, inducing a mental claustrophobia. Lock eyes with her and ask again.Attack Sequence 9: Third-Party Confirmation• Scenario: You suspect one of your employees is having someone else punch out on the time clock for him.• Stage 1. Accuse outright. After gaining the assistance of a friend or coworker, you have this person make theaccusation for you. Such as “Mel, I was talking to Cindy, and she told me she’s getting pretty tired of yourhaving someone else punch out for you so you can leave work early.” At this point Mel is concerned only withCindy’s disapproval of his actions. Your friend is thoroughly believable because we rarely think to questionthis type of third-party setup.• Stage 2. Are you kidding? “Are you kidding? It’s common knowledge, but I think I know how you can smooththings over with her.” See if he take the bait. A person who’s innocent would not be interested in smoothingthings over with someone else for something that he hasn’t done.• Stage 3. Last call. “Okay. But are you sure? At this point, any hesitation is likely to be sign of guilt becausehe’s quickly trying to weight his options.Attack Sequence 10: The Chain Reaction• Scenario: You suspect several employees in your store of stealing money• Stage 1. Setting the scene. In a one-on-one meeting with the employee, let them know that you’re looking forsomeone to be in charge of a new internal theft program for the entire company.• Stage 2. The iron is… “We’re looking for someone who knows how it’s done. Now don’t worry, you’re notgoing to get in trouble. As a matter of fact we’ve known about it for some time. We were more interested inseeing how efficient you were. Quite impressive. Anyway, we feel that since you know how it’s done, you’llknow how to prevent it. Granted, it’s pretty unusual, but this is an unusual instance.”• Stage 3. I told them so. “You know, I told them that you would be too afraid to have an open discussion aboutthis. They were wrong, I was right.” Look for hesitation on his part. If he’s guilty, he will be weighing hisoptions. This takes time. An innocent person has nothing to think about. Only the guilty have the option ofconfessing or not.

But I gave you all boiled seeds; They were dead - it was not possible for them to grow. All of you, except Jim, have brought me trees and plants andFlowers.
