He was said to have stabbed his friend after which he ran over him with the deceased’s Mercedes Benz car.

Abatcha, who claimed to be a sociology student of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), was arraigned on a two-count charge of culpable homicide and robbery punishable by death under section 221 and 298 of the Penal Code. He was said to have committed the offence on September 10, 2007.

The deceased father, who reported the matter at the G.R.A Police Station in Maiduguri, said his son, Busami travelled with his friend, Abatcha on the fateful day he met his untimely death in a very suspicious manner, adding that the family was troubled following Busami’s disappearance for six days. Subsequently, Abatcha was picked up by the police for questioning; an effort which the police claimed led into further investigation on the fate of Busami.

“But the police maintained that Abatcha could not give satisfactory explanation on the whereabouts of his friend when he was questioned. They said it was later discovered that he hit his friend, Busami on the head with spanner and cutlass after he had sedated him.” Wife of the deceased, Hadiza Bashir, also told the court during the trial that her late husband and his friend ate together. She said the two friends went out thereafter, noting that it was the last time she saw her husband. She added that Abatcha later came to their house without any satisfactory explanation on the where abouts of her husband.

Police also told the court that the wrist watch and shoes of the deceased were found with Abatcha at the time of his arrest. Also testifying, a witness, from Yobe State where the crime was reportedly committed, said he reported to the police when he saw a corpse in a farmland. The witness, a vice principal of a junior secondary school at DogonKuka village in Damagun Local Government Area of Yobe State, disclosed that he saw the corpse of the deceased on his way to his farm.

In his statement to the police, Abatcha admitted to have killed his friend. “I was heading towards Kano via Yobe and on my way to Potiskum town at a place called Damagun, Bashir woke up from the side effect of influence of the drug and I gave him water to drink but he could not. I then became guilty and in the state of confusion, I stopped.

“When Bashir opened the door of the vehicle and fell on the ground, he got up and started running into the bush, I followed him and stabbed him with a sharp knife I was holding in my hand and he removed the knife and wanted to attack me. He fell down and I quickly snatched the knife from him because he was weak. I then brought the car and ran over him.” He also confessed to be a member of a cult based in Lagos.

Delivering his judgment, Justice Pindar Haruna Ngadda said the prosecution had proved beyond reasonable doubt that Abatcha actually killed his friend Busami. She, therefore, sentenced him to death by hanging on the first count charge and life imprisonment on the second count charge..

“Frenemy” (one who pretends to be a friend but is actually an enemy).

In the words of Ambassador Jetta, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is a man of uncommon loyalty, impeccable integrity, and possesses an immense commitment to Nigeria. But it appears these great attributes might become an impediment, as his

closest associate from the north, Hassan Tukur, who appears to have gained his absolute confidence, may be covertly working against his ambition to become President. Our checks reveals that Hassan Tukur, who has been a friend to the President for a very long time and currently works as his principal secretary, may be a “Frenemy” (one who pretends to be a friend but is actually an enemy).

Mr. Tukur is a diplomat and technocrat par excellence. His friendship with President Jonathan dates back to pre-Aso Villa days. He was President Yar’Adua’s special assistant on Petroleum Resources. Tukur is assumed to be the president’s closest associate from the North and is alleged to have single-handedly picked most of the regime’s political appointees that were employed from the north by Goodluck Jonathan. According to sources who have had contact with him, Tukur does not hesitate to inform you that “he can get the President to do anything”, and really in most cases he delivers; a source added.

However, Hassan Tukur, Huhuonline.com learnt is torn between his loyalty to his boss and his kinsmen from the north, who are vehemently opposed to the President`s 2011 presidential ambition. To this end, Tukur is alleged to have asked the President not to contest the 2011 election. But his advice has not been heeded.

It should be recalled that in his inaugural speech, President Jonathan promised that “the war against corruption will be prosecuted more robustly,” and his aides, particularly Hassan Tukur, pencilled in the name of his bosom friend, Nuhu Ribadu, the country’s former anticorruption czar, to lead the war. Mr Ribadu was considered robust and effective in his position until he was forced out by Yar’Adua’s government.

Mr. Tukur was very instrumental in the return of Nuhu Ribadu, whom he had convinced the president to appoint as his special adviser on anti-corruption and other related matters, but as soon Nuhu returned to Nigeria, the goal posts began to move. Hassan Tukur began to lobby the President to appoint Nuhu Ribadu as vice president, which in itself was not a bad idea as Nuhu Ribadu was viewed as a man of impeccable character, capable bringing credibility to any government. But this was not to be.

However, Nuhu Ribadu and Hassan Tukur, Huhuonline.com gathered were looking beyond the vice presidential position, their eyes were set on the plum job of president. Had President Jonathan given in to the plot, the duo would have covertly disclosed his flaws by releasing embarrassing details of the President to the media, which could portray him as inexperienced and incompetent for the office of President..

Consequently, they would have blackmailed him into resigning and returning to Bayelsa. Nuhu Ribadu is very familiar with this type of operation. Recall that Nuhu Ribadu blackmailed Obasanjo into dropping Peter Odili as running mate to Umaru Yar`adua in 2007.

Having failed in their plot, Nuhu Ribadu abandoned the PDP, and joined AC, where he is a presidential aspirant; While Hassan Tukur stayed put on his job as principal secretary to the president, and is currently amassing stupendous wealth for himself under the guise of raising funds for the Goodluck Jonathan 2011 Presidential campaign. However, it remains to be seen if Hassan Tukur’s loyalty lies with the President or the Northern Oligarchy.

IBB "bribes" Journalists

Five months ago, a friend of mine, who edits a national daily, sent me a text message agreeing substantially with my column, ‘The Punch and the rest of us’, except the generalised conclusion that “all (journalists) have sinned and fallen short of the glory of the profession”. There are still some journalists, he submits, who toe the narrow path of integrity. Of course I knew where he was coming from, but I also knew the context in which I had made that statement.

I revisit that statement in light of the stories spewing out of the political beat, specifically on the race for the 2011 presidential elections and how it affects the integrity of news.

As part of the effort to sell his candidature for the presidency, former military president, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) invited as many as 40 journalists to his Minna home on August 14 for an interview. I have heard questions asked about why he should invite journalists to his home instead of a public place if he didn’t have an ulterior motive, and why he should offer monetary gifts to the journalists in the name of paying for their transportation.

One news medium, which has championed this opposition in the open, is the online agency, Sahara Reporters. According to SR each of the journalists received N10 million for heeding Babangida’s call on his presidential ambition. That is N400 million just for one night’s interview from an aspirant yet to win his party’s nomination if it were true. But it was not. When some of the journalists complained about the fictional sum, SR changed the story on August 19, saying it was just “a paltry N250, 000 each”. Rather than admit its initial error SR simply said, “our accountants have told us that going by the number of 40 journalists in attendance, we are still around the same ballpark of N10 million”. So much for credible reporting!

Three days later, SR followed up with ‘IBB and his Rogue Journalists’, accusing the journalists of roguery and professional misconduct; roguery, because they collected money from two sources—their employers who presumably authorised and funded the trip and their news source, IBB; misconduct because it is unethical for them to demand/receive gratification from news sources for their services.

And on August 23 in ‘IBB Nocturnal Press Parley: Punch fires Editorial board Chairman’, SR stayed on top of the story by reporting that Adebolu Arowolo, editorial board chairman of the Punch, had lost his job for going on that trip without his management’s approval..

involved in the demonstration that involved Pastor Tunde Bakare for a good cause which sought an end to the hide-and-seek game that has to do with ailing President Yar’Adua. At other time he led demonstration to the National Assembly, nonetheless for about the same good cause though Bakare’s group said that he was not representing them at this later siege at the National Assembly.

And yet in another but ‘unworthy’ cause, Charly Boy was seen at the National Assembly complex again with some youth group seeking the reappointment of INEC Prof Maurice Iwu whose tenure ends soon.

Further on another unworthy cause, the New Star newspaper of April 5-6, 2010, page 16 under the story “Ibori confers with Uduaghan (his cousin) over recent political development” Charly boy with his power bike was sighted with James Ibori at the Asaba Government House, probably as in company of the former governor for the infamous confer.

A British dating website revealed on Tuesday that half of the unfaithful men it polled for a survey on affairs admitted to having a fling with a friend's wife or girlfriend. The poll conducted by British internet dating company www.benaughty.com showed that of the

more than 5,000 men it surveyed who admitted to being unfaithful, a staggering 46.9 percent said they had had a fling with a friend's wife or girlfriend.

"It's a remarkable figure and well above what we would have thought," benaughty.com Marketing Manager Sean Wood said in a statement.

"Attractions develop very easily between men and women who see each other often, in the same circles. And it is often easier to be together without arousing any suspicions."

The survey was conducted amid a frenzy of tabloid newspaper reporting on former England soccer captain John Terry.

Terry was stripped of the captaincy after allegations in the British media that he had had an extra-marital affair with the former girlfriend of England team mate Wayne Bridge, who was a club mate of his at Chelsea before joining Manchester City last year.

Between February 5 and 14, a total of 5,512 men looking for discreet relationships were asked three questions:

Have you ever had a relationship with your friend's wife or partner?

Yes: 46.9 percent No: 53.1 percent.

Did you get caught?

Yes: 7.84 percent No: 92.16 percent

Did you confess?

Yes: 8.25 percent No: 91.75 percent.

Murder for Ritual! As Traders Kill friend for money

Recent scenario in Benin City, Edo State
has engulfed many sympathizers with shock, pandemonium, and wagging of
teeth, following the bizarre tale of three young businessmen, Henry
Nwoke, Uche Ajujo and Chinedu Okonkwo who cruelly used their

friend, (28 year old), Eze Nwoke for money rituals. investigations have it that the friends recently finished learning a trade in electronics business in Benin City and they felt they needed spiritual blessings to help them grow once they start. They thereafter went to Oshogbo, capital of Osun State. It was learnt that Uche was the first among them who went to Oshogbo
under the pretence that he is a businessman who deals in antiquities.
He was said to have met one Saheed Okeola, at a bar and after serious
of discussions, he told Saheed that he was looking for a medicine man
who would help with charms for his business to grow.

Consequently Saheed took Uche to one Joseph Ojo, a hunter and native doctor in Oshogbo. Uche later invited Henry who indicated interest in making money rituals
with any part of human body. He was said to have agreed to offer
private part, hair or fingers. After the payment of N50,000, Mr Ojo
told Henry that he was to spend five days with him to conclude with
other ritual rites for money to appear, and for those five days, he
would sleep from morning till
4:30 p.m
everyday. It was after Uche left according to the native doctor, that
Henry later brought Eze Nwoke for the money making ritual to be made
from the payment earlier made by Henry. It was learnt that Eze Nwoke
could have been used for the money ritual because he could not be
traced, hence the arrest of his three friends by the Police at State
C.I.D in
Benin City.

No doubt, there have been several reported cases of individuals who were
kidnapped, killed, or had their bodies mutilated by ritualists in Nigeria
.
This bizarre incidences have become rampant when general elections are
drawing near, and also when there is introduction of new naira notes to
the country. Other reasons responsible for this is unemployment and
desperation as well as uncontrollable covetous act of Nigerian youths
who are desperate for sudden wealth for self aggrandizement to meeting
images?q=tbn:X5mwgzrBB_jTIM:%3Ca%20href=http://historyofjihad.org/britain2.jpg">
their economic demands.

Retrospective checks have it that the most notorious of them is the one associated with one Chief Vincent Duru, popularly known as Otokoto. The police in the
southern Nigerian some years back in the city of
Owerri arrested
a man, Innocent Ekeanyanwu, with the head of a young boy, Ikechukwu
Okonkwo. In the course of the investigation, the police discovered the
buried torso of Ikechukwu on the premises of Otokoto Hotel, owned by
Chief Duru, and uncovered a syndicate that specialized in ritual killing and the sale and procurement of human parts. The horrifying discoveries sparked off violent protests in the city of
Owerri which led to the burning and looting of properties belonging to suspected killers.

Otokoto and his ritualist syndicate were arguably arrested and put on trial, and in February 2003, they were sentenced to death by hanging. Apart
from the Otokoto incident, there have been other instances of ritual
murder and mutilation in other parts of the country. For instance, in
Calabar, two men plucked out the eyes of a young lady, Adlyne Eze, for
money-making ritual. And in Ifo, Ogun state, a businessman inflicted
the same harm on his younger sister. In
Ibadan,
the police in December arrested a taxi driver, Abbas, who used his
fourteen-month-old baby for rituals. Abbas killed his child in order to
secure a human head, which was one of the materials listed for him by a
local witchdoctor for a money-making ritual.

And in another act of ritual horror in Onitsha, Anambra State, two young men, Tobechukwu Okorie and Peter Obasi, seized a boy, Monday
Emenike, and cut off his sexual organ with the intention of delivering
it to a man, who allegedly offered to pay 1.5 million naira ($11,000)
for it. In
Kaduna,
Danladi Damina was arrested after he exhumed the corpse of a 9-year-old
boy, plucked out his eyes and cut off his lips, intending to use them
for charms. Recently a woman was caught in a bush in Warri,
Delta State, decapitating a four-year-old boy for ritual purposes.

Further checks have it that Police are only interested in making the ordinary
citizens to be used as guinea pigs, and object of ridicule in ritual
killing cases, while they cover the rich and the highly influential in
the society who are neck deep in ritual killings, having provided what it worth to silence them. Sometime in 2009 one Senator Ogunwale in Osun State
but to date, the Osun State Police Command are yet to place a face on
those responsible for the death of the female hunchback, Taibat Oseni
(22) who was gruesomely murdered in Senator Ogunwale’s uncompleted
building. Moreover, some have queried the source of wealth of the Osun
politician, Sen. Ogunwale, especially the first money he made, and with
the claims that he just dominated the business world in a jiffy. Yet
the man at the centre of the storm who is now a staunch member of
Action Congress (AC) his preparing himself for a gubernatorial poll in
Osun State despite this unresolved murder/conspiracy charges hanging on
his head.

Olalekan Adetayo A 22-year-old lady, Ijeoma Obezim, is currently in the custody of the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly killing her friend during a fight over a bucket. advertisement The suspect reportedly used a razor blade to inflict grievous injuries on the face of her friend, Ada Okeke, in their residence on Saturday. The 25-year-old Okeke was later confirmed dead at the nearby Tolu Medical Centre where she was rushed to for treatment. The suspect, the victim and two other ladies, Chineye and Chika, were said to be occupying the same room in a house located on Ayorinde Street, Tolu, a suburb of Lagos. When paraded before journalists in Lagos on Monday, Obezim said that trouble started when she needed a bucket Okeke had earlier used to wash some clothes. She said she was about using the bucket to take her bath when the deceased challenged her and they started exchanging words. The argument, according to her, later led to a fight which was settled by their neighbours. She accused Okeke of biting her during the fight. She confessed that she took a razor blade and inflicted the injuries on the deceased. "I never knew it would turn out this way. I am not happy that she died. It was just a minor disagreement," the suspect said. The command's spokesman, Mr. Frank Mba, said that policemen attached to Tolu Division were currently investigating the case. Mba, a superintendent of police, however, said that the case would soon be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti Street, Yaba, for further investigation.

Xmas Day Bomber AKA El nigri Said "I am lonely ! " "Hence I am in a situation where I do not have a friend, I have no one to speak too, no one to consult, no one to support me and I feel depressed and lonely. I do not know what to do." Liverpool FC is my TEAM Arsenal is just a stupid team ... The disturbed mind of the Christmas Day airline bomber is evident in a series of tormented postings he wrote on the internet. As a lonely 18-year-old, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab turned to an Islamic web forum as he struggled with his shame over his sexuality and growing alienation from his family. His innermost thoughts reveal a shy and awkward They show an increasingly religious and intolerant young man who fantasised about becoming a Muslim holy warrior in the ‘great jihad’ that would take place across the world. In 310 internet posts written between 2005 and 2007, ‘Farouk1986’ – Abdulmutallab’s middle name and year of birth – desperately searches for guidance and help in hastily written messages filled with spelling and grammatical errors. While at a prestigious British boarding school in Togo, he wrote: ‘First of all, I have no friends. ‘Not because I do not socialise, etc but because either people do not want to get too close to me as they go partying and stuff while I don’t, or they are bad people who befriend me and influence me to do bad things. ‘Hence I am in a situation where I do not have a friend, I have no one to speak too, no one to consult, no one to support me and I feel depressed and lonely. I do not know what to do.’ The posts were made on an Islamic bulletin board called Gawaher, which literally translates from Arabic as ‘gems’ or ‘jewels,’ but can also be read as ‘essence’ or ‘spirit’. They started in 2005 when Abdulmutallab was 18 and preparing to apply to British universities. He wrote about his privileged upbringing in Nigeria and his family’s wealth. Abdulmutallab’s father, Alhaji Umaru Mutallab, a frequent visitor to the U.S., retired this year as chairman of First Bank of Nigeria and still sits on the boards of several prominent Nigerian firms. His love of sport, British football in particular, is evident with his fervent support of Liverpool, and his disparaging remarks about other clubs. But gradually the football-mad teenager with academic ambitions is replaced by a student ideologue. He writes of his struggles between balancing Islamic tolerance and fundamentalism. ‘I want to talk about my dilemma between liberalism and extremism,’ he writes. ‘The Prophet (S) said religion is easy and anyone who tries to overburden themselves will find it hard and will not be able to continue. ‘So anytime I relax, I deviate sometimes and then when I strive hard, I get tired of what I am doing i.e. memorising the quran, etc. How should one put the balance right?’ And there are chilling hints of the deadly role he was to play following his terror training in Yemen earlier this year. He wrote: ‘I won’t go into too much details about my fantasy, but basically they are Jihad fantasies. I imagine how the great jihad will take place, how the Muslims will win (Allah willing) and rule the whole world, and establish the greatest empire once again.’ He also confides that he struggles with his sexual desires – encapsulated by the religious duty of ‘lowering the gaze’ in the presence of women. ‘And then I think this loneliness leads me to other problems,’ he writes. ‘As I get lonely, the natural sexual drive awakens and I struggle to control it, sometimes leading to minor sinful activities like not lowering the gaze. ‘And this problem makes me want to get married to avoid getting aroused. ‘The Prophet (S) advised young men to fast if they can’t get married but it has not been helping me much and I seriously don’t want to wait for years before I get married.’ In December 2005, Farouk1986 wrote that his parents were visiting him in London and that he was torn about whether he could eat meat with them. ‘I am of the view meat not slaughtered by Muslims … is haram [forbidden] for consumption unless necessary,’ he wrote. ‘My parents are of the view as foreigners, we are allowed to … eat any meat. ‘It occured [sic] to me I should not be eating with my parents as they use meat I consider haram. But I fear this might cause division and other complicated family problems.’ While officials haven’t verified that the postings were written by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, details from the posts match his personal history. Abdulmutallab, the youngest of 16 children and a son of the second of his father’s two wives, was raised at the family home in Kaduna, a city in Nigeria’s Muslim-dominated north. At boarding school, he earned the nickname ‘Alfa,’ a local term for Muslim clerics, because of his penchant for preaching Islam. He went on to study at UCL in London, from 2005 to 2008. Fabrizio Cavallo Marincola, 22, who studied with him, said he graduated in May 2008 and showed no signs of radicalisation or of links to al-Qaeda. ‘He always did the bare minimum of work,’ Mr Marincola said. ‘When we were studying, he always would go off to pray. ‘He was pretty quiet and didn’t socialise much or have a girlfriend that I knew of.’ Farouk1986 also refers to his love of Liverpool FC in the posts, mocking Arsenal fans for the state of their home ground Highbury stadium. Writing in February 2005 he described the stadium as a 'tiny junkyard', adding: 'How can someone get to like Arsenal? I tried to, but no way, I've been to several football stadiums, I must say Highbury was one of the least impressive, a tiny junkyard sought of place in the streets of London, what a pity!' He also made reference to players Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard, writing: 'Lampard is really becoming a classy player. Now I think his better than Gerrard. 'Gerrard might regret leaving Liverpool, but somehow I want him to leave. He keeps on saying the team needs improving when he needs a lot to improve. 'He's getting more inconsistent with time and pressure is on him. He seems to be handling it pretty badly.' advertisement It is a strange world we live, where friends snatch their friends' husband Our writer today needs your advice to go on with her life after her husband left her for her best friend. Please, read and advise her. Thanks, My name is Funmi. I met my husband in Ondo State after my NCE programme. We were friends for sometime but later things started getting serious between us. Dare was very understanding and caring and, moreover, we are from the same town. This earned him my family's love. Dare was not educated; he dropped out of school because of financial constraint. I didn’t see that as a problem because I believe Dare would go back to school when things get better for him. In the interim, he learnt tailoring somewhere in town. The love I had for him then did not allow me to see anything wrong in what he was doing. I got transferred to Ibadan to teach in a primary school and, after, I persuaded Dare to join me so that we could continue our relationship. He did not agree at first, but after so much persuasion, he agreed. We started living together. For about three years, Dare could not lay his hands on anything; he was always complaining that there were no customers. When things did not get better, he said he wanted to be a cab driver, I agreed with him and we saved some money and bought him a Mistibushi car. After some months, I discovered that I was pregnant and well, Dare did not deny this and he was ready to marry me. My parents were not happy with me because I got pregnant before marriage, but because Dare was ready to have my hand in marriage they had no choice, they conceeded. The wedding day was fixed and we started preparing. I called my childhood friend, Funke, to inform her of my intentions and also to ask her to be my chief bride’s maid. Funke had been in Ibadan before I relocated there. She and I went for shopping in preparation for the wedding. Funke was very supportive even after the wedding, she was a shoulder to lean on. Our friendship took another dimension after; we got closer. I forgot to tell you that she was a fashion designer too and things were quite okay with her, so I advised her to try and get a man to settle down with and to this, we started praying for a God-sent man who would be her husband. In due time, God answered our prayers; a brother to one of her customers showed interest in her and after some months, they did introduction and started living together; this was when I had my first baby, a girl. Just like a true friend, Funke played a prominent role during the naming ceremony; it was as if it was her child and after some months, she also became pregnant, and my advice to her as a friend was that she should formalise the wedding so that she would not have the baby out of wedlock. She took my advice and got married. After some years, my husband started behaving funny; he started keeping late nights. He neglected his responsibilities at home and stopped caring for the children. I became worried over this and raised the issue with him, but all to no avail; he wouldn't bulge. I was itching so much to pour out my mind to someone but I couldn't since Funke rarely came visiting like before and I was also very busy with my work. However, I went to our home town to report Dare to his people; I didn't know I was digging the grave for my marriage. By the time I got home, Dare had completely abandoned the children and went away. The children later told me that he came the night I left for Ondo, asked after me and went ahead to pack some of his clothes and went out that night. I was perplexed when I heard this. Where could he have gone to? Nobody knew his whereabouts. I tried to look for him, but to no avail. On a fateful day, Lekan, one of my children, said he saw him around Funke’s place at night. My heart beat with hope and I thought I had found my man. But the boy reported that when Dare saw him, he didn’t say anything but went in quietly into Funke’s apartment. I was shocked and confused and wondered what he could be doing in Funke’s flat at that time of the night. When Lekan sensed I was very worried he let the cat out of the bag. He said one of Funke's sons in his school had told him secretly that Dare had been in their house all these while. I was so confused at that piece of information that I almost ran crazy. I cried myself to sleep that night. The following morning, I decided to see Funke to confirm what Lekan had told me. To my surprise, I saw Funke with a bulging tummy! Of course, she couldn’t have been impregnated by her husband who had been in London. She was shocked when she saw me but she summoned courage and confronted me when I asked about Dare. To my utmost shock, Funke ordered me out of her house and warned me not to come there again. She shouted on me and called me all sorts of names. I was dumbfounded even as passersby were asking me what happened, I couldn’t say anything. I couldn't believe Dare and my best friend could connive to do this to me. I accepted my fate and pulled myself together. I knew I needed the strength to bring up my children and to continue with my life. I got closer to God. However, I later learnt that Dare and Funke had packed out of the house to live in a street, not quite far from ours. Funke gave birth some months after and had a baby boy. I learnt that some people in our street attended the naming ceremony. I didn't allow that to bother me as I was ready to go on with my life without him. It wasn't long after this, that I heard the rumour that Dare was sick and was admitted to a hospital. I pitied him and wanted to go and see him, but I didn't want Funke to see me and start calling me names. Things, however, did not get better for him because he died after some weeks. I felt terrible and cried bitterly. As if this was not enough, some weeks after, Funke also died mysteriously. Taiwo, this was the last straw that broke the camel's back. People on the street believed I did something; they accused me and called me a witch, alleging that I was the brain behind their deaths. This was enough pain for me and my children. How could I have done a thing like that, after all he left me and my children and met his end. How am I to be blamed? Please, advise me on what to do.

A real friend indeed will ...

This is GOOD...I expect it back too if you think I am worth a friend! I especially like the last sentence!!!!!! A simple friend, when visiting, acts like a guest. A real friend opens your refrigerator and helps himself and doesn't feel even the least bit weird shutting your 'beer/Pepsi drawer' with her foot! A simple friend has never seen you cry. A real friend shoulder is soggy from your tears.. A simple friend doesn't know your parents' first names. A real friend has their phone numbers in his address book. i A simple friend brings a bottle of wine to your party. A real friend comes early to help you cook and stays late to help you clean. A simple friend hates it when you call after they've gone to bed. A real friend asks you why you took so long to call. A simple friend seeks to talk with you about your problems. A real friend seeks to help you with your problems. i A simple friend wonders about your romantic history. A real friend could blackmail you with it! A simple friend thinks the friendship is over when you have an argument. A real friend calls you after you had a fight. A simple friend expects you to always be there for them. A real friend expects to always be there for you! A simple friend reads this e-mail and deletes it. A real friend passes it on and sends it back to you! Pass this on to anyone you care about......if you get it back you have no beginning, no end. It keeps us together, like our Circle of Friends. Today I pass this on to you. Pass it on to someone who is a friend to you.. INSTANTLY WHEN YOU RECEIVE THIS LETTER, YOU'RE REQUESTED TO SEND IT TO AT LEAST 10 PEOPLE, INCLUDING THE PERSON WHO SENT IT TO YOU.

my dear friend

my dear friend , I am sitting here at the office, working and playing music loud the earphones are off. The office is practically empty so I can do this. I have 2 cds which I am interchanging: judy jacobs notably of benny hinn fame (one of his main singers) and also my maranatha album I want to tell you about. I am more moved to certain songs of judy jacobs.. and even as I work, the words of the song are spilling into my spirit.. it is well. I have a feeling that it will be good for us to talk.. but I can't call you in at home.. the lines might be too unclear ,not my style, even on phone cards.. but I want to just talk.my way I know then you will know it is me You know, sometimes we go thru things in life, or maybe it may be how we grew up as children and young adults, or even as adults, and we have to fight to break away from habits, attitudes or situations which put us in a position of victims or in a place where we are not optimized for either our lives or for my use. Or in a place where we are not the easiest to be married to. But I bless God for His grace that above all, He knows us more, beyond and above every other person and thing, and He can, will and shall always work with us to make of us, the man/woman He has for us to be.. it is well. Sweetie, I am concerned.. maybe I shouldn't be but I am.. about you. You seem on one hand, to be this together, person with a deep passion and love for God, with strong goals, dreams and values. On the other hand, you sometimes appear as weak, vulnerable and easily pushed out of the way of your calling. And I don't like that. For you. For your life Or for your calling from God. I am listening to this song and if I can get the words, I'll try and write them out for you. It's a song about asking God to give us a desire for worship so that the excellency is of God and not of us. As the deer pants, so pants my soul for you. Emmanuel, you're watching over me. With your arms open wide, there's a place I can hide: You are my desire, you're watching over me. You are my heart's desire. Everlasting joy, never ending peace, you're all I want, you're all I need, you are my heart's desire. You are greater than the great, wiser than the wise, in you I find my hope, I find healing. Your love is deeper than the deep; Lord you're strong when I'm weak. In you I can find a place I can hide. You are my heart's desire. You are greater than the great, wiser than the wise. You see that I have hope, I find someplace I can hide; you are my heart's desire. In you, I can find someplace I can hide, you are my heart's desire. You deserve the glory, and the honour. Lord I lift my hands in worship as we lift your holy name. (2ce). For you are great, you do miracle so great, there is no one else like you, there is no one else like you. And you are great, you do miracles so great, there is no one else like you. There is no one else. You deserve, It is well. You know what?? Friend, I can be a loner and I thought I had been so for all my life on earth. Isaiah 53 he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. KJV Actually, I can fluctuate b/w extreme extrovertedness, and extreme introvertedness am not d lukewarm type , not at all!. 2 big opposites and most ppl have a lot of problem with me because of it. Fact is, I come across to most ppl as outgoing.. although I'm not really that way.. I prefer 1-2-1 relationships in every thing. Ppl get frustrated when I suddenly go extremely quiet and speak with no one. They get frustrated with me cos they feel I am snobbing ppl ; when I change to the quiet me, I can be so withdrawn, but most times I just want to withdraw with you, but you don't see it. Except you really really know me, a lot of my siblings are afraid to even come close. Is it good? No. why? Becos I have few friends who understand me, your few might be different from mine, but alas, they all live within me, everywhere, so I am not that alone.. is that God's best for me? Oh yes, but he is bringing more people.. so there are times I feel extremely lonely for these others, even though I am used to, and actually can enjoy being alone with my people that I have been given ,but I am not alone, for He is always with me . At those times of extreme loneliness on earth, I used to get the sense that depression was trying to knock its head at my door. What did I do? I even said once if it be his will, that his cup pass from me! I did,yes I was tempted with stuff like you are, but I got myself together and said those words, I am sure you have heard Not my will, but thine be done O Lord . There was time just before I rose up I even screamed My God why hath thou forsaken me, So my darling if you feel that way, just know that I have done that too and he still raised me up Amen! Sweetie: worship. There is nothing like worship songs, worship dances, worship gist all sorts of worship.. it realigns you. It brings you to the mind of the cross and the work of calvary. It shows you victory. It points you to hope, it reassures you of the love of God, it brings you back to the place of victory.. to the place where you should be. It reminds you that you are not alone. All In Heaven know this, that worship of the Father is number one ,not that he just deserves it, he owns it , it is his, lock ,stock and barrel and he loves us so much that he is willing to share it with us. He who died for us how much more will he not in ALL THINGS share with us ! Personally, I live for the love of God.. without it, I don't know where I'd be that's what has kept me those 33 years.. without that, I don't exist. God is my ALL, always has been, always will be. I did not grow up in a conventional way.. no way. (you all know that, born of a virgin! and born of God, just like some of you) And added to that, was my withdrawn personality. I was too deep, too introspective, too much an island. Too much someone who sees it all and says nothing. Who never fights back and swallows hurts and moves on. With that, you carry a load you shouldn't and that is where the devil comes with power of suggestion. No wonder phil 4:8 admonishes us about our thot life, giving us a guide to the things we should be thinking about. If those things are in place, we can NEVER fall prey to depression.. it is well. Sweetie, can I say?? The choice of friends also help. Iron the word says, sharpens iron.. your non Christian family members or former loved ones shouldn't be your main point of reference, no matter how strong their love for you is. Why??? Becos we are not carnal but spiritual. And we are continually in a warfare someone might speak death.. we accept it cos we don't want to always correct their grammar. Your friend/sister (Christian) will only speak things in line with the word and will also encourage you with the word. In the last few weeks, I heard of this church counsellor who each time she calls one of my siblings at home( remember I am the firstborn out of many children), I cry. She never knows cos I don't betray it when I speak.. what moves me? Her love the words of encouragement she speaks.. after she speaks with her, she sleeps well. What am I saying? How refreshing to the soul, words of life.. a word in season indeed. It is well. I want you to fulfill your potential. You have so much to offer.. your love for God alone is refreshing.. but I want it always kept burning.. the light of the Spirit burning always in your spirit, in all its fervency.. give no place to anything that moves you away from it. Instead cultivate daily habits that will keep you continually on the track of victory.. it is well. I believe a lot of the things you are experiencing stems from aloneness and loneliness. Needing that just special person who will truly understand you, and who jointly, keep each other in check in the things of God.. then pray.. pray for such a one.. but remember, you can't be a half needing a whole, or a half needing another half to make a whole. It will never work. Build yourself up so that when that special someone comes into your life, you will not need to be rescued always: after a while, ppl get tired of doing that, no matter how much they love you. But instead, develop good consistency now, so that that one can really be your advocate, helper, guide, lover, sister, brother, friend, best friend, companion and also the one who helps lead you closer still to God. One thing I have learnt in my life is that God always knows what is best for us. He more than any plan, any will, any effort of ours or others.. He helps the helpless, making the sun shine on the just and the unjust. He is love personified and no matter where we are, what we do, or how helpless and ridden with mistakes we are, He is always there for us. The word says it is He who causes us both to WILL and to DO of His good pleasure. Simply put, even where the desire for Him is not there, He gives that to us. And then enables us still to do. You know, I have seen a lot of pain and sorrow over the years.. and when the crunch is down and no one is there: my Jehovah always stands sure. Even as my sister writes for me now, I tell you, no lie: she is crying. Why?? Because she remembers where she has been and she sees where He daily brings her. Daily helping and delivering her. Daily elevating me and establishing you. He does the same for you too. He does it. He only ever says, 'trust me. Give it all to me. Let me take care of you'. It is well. Honey, remember of what stock you are made You are OF GOD.. that's no mean feat! You are His! Live in that victory! Insist on it at all cost and refuse any lying vanity! The word says that they that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy. Anything that is not in accordance with His will for you is a lying vanity.. depression, sadness, sorrow, etc.. Give them no place. Its all about perception! The antenna not tuned properly cos if it is, we will know like 'footprints', that not only are we not alone, but we are being carried. I have so much to say, but the words are quicker than my fingers and I don't want to bore you with my mail.. although I don't think I'm boring you. But I guess, if I were talking, it would be different.. how much of your heart can you pass across in words? I don't know. It is well. Friend. Be strong okay?? For me?? Or best still, for Him. Me Ps I heard you still had not given your life to Jesus Christ, why do you linger for He loves you so much. My friend, pls do it at least for me.say the simple words Lord Jesus come into my life, I acknowledge I am a sinnerand accept you as my personal lord and saviour.I believe that you died for me and cleansed me of all my sins.I am born again in Jesus name, amen! Ah ! my friend welcome to life! we all scream at netchurch it is a boy/girl! and Jesus also says to our Father lord you have a child and the Angels throw a wonderful party just for you ! And the loving Daddy says This is my beloved child in whom I am well pleased John 3:16 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. NIV God bless you sent in by Afreda Ruth ruce
